Sean Carter MY FATHER'S ADVICE TO ME WHEN I WAS SEARCHING FOR A WIFE... WOW By Jerry John Rawlings The Former Ghana President My son, I will be very raw and sincere with you. Do not worry about the size of a woman buttock or breast but worry about the size of her heart and brain. Worry about the size of her love and endurance. Because after 5 or 10 years, it will not be about the breast or buttock. As you can see, your mum now has a flat chest and almost flat buttock but we still live together happily, I still love her and she still love me. Be careful of a woman that loves money. I mean the woman that talks ‘every time’ about her hair, cloths, shoes, bags panties and make-ups. Marriage is not all about these things. Without make-up, cloths, shoes and panties a good marriage will still stand but without love, no marriage can stand. When I got married to your mum, I didn’t have a car or house of my own. I was not even educated. But I had dreams and she appreciate and support me. Any woman that does not support your dream is not worth thinking-a- minute about. There are women that will see your dreams better than you, you are lucky if you find one, My son, open your ears very well, there is a kind of woman you should avoid, do not make a mistake to marry this kind of woman or you will regret it. I mean a woman that always has bad things to say about everyone. If you see this kind of woman, run away. One of the worst kind of woman you can marry is the one that complains about everything. If you buy this, she says you should have bought that, if you do this, she said you should have done that. Please stay away! Most women enjoy talking but the one who talks for two hours and listen for two minutes is a potential ‘bomb’. Be wise Be very careful of a pretending partner. A pretending woman is not hard to know. She will always know everything about everything, she will be careful. Just close your eyes and open your heart and you will see! No woman is perfect. If you see a woman who believes in your dream , who respects you who is committed and who is not all about herself alone then don’t let her go. But remember, you must not be a wayward man. I have trained you! If you find a good woman but you are a bad man, you wont have a good marriage! I won’t pick a wife for you but I have given you my advice. When you find her, bring her for my blessings. May you find a woman that will increase you not decrease you..

People all over the world are celebrating Fathers Day today, June 19. While many are using the opportunity to appreciate their dads for the love and care shown to them over the years, others are paying tributes to their fathers who are late. It is the dream of every man that his son will surpass his achievements and indeed this is already happening in the Nigerian political firmament. Overtime, many Nigerian politicians have groomed their sons to take over from them and inherit their political structures. While some have not reached the heights their dad attained, others have gone ahead to surpass the achievements of their fathers. NAIJ.com lists five present day politicians who are following the footsteps of their fathers politically. 1. Bukola Saraki: Nigeria’s Senate president comes from a very powerful and influential political family that has held sway in Kwara state for over two decades. A medical doctor turned politician, Saraki inherited his father’s political structure after he became governor of Kwara state and went ahead to assert his authority and indeed improve on the evergreen legacies of his dad – Oloye Olusola Saraki, who was elected a senator of the second republic in 1979, and became Senate leader. The junior Saraki has gone a step further than his dad and is now Nigeria’s number three citizen. 2. Senator Abdul-Aziz Murtala Nyako: He is the incumbent senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District. His father, Vice Admiral Murtala Nyako (rtd), is the former governor of the state, former military governor of Niger state and former Chief of Naval Staff. Indeed, Senator Abdul-Aziz is stepping into the big shoes of his dad. Following in the footsteps of his dad, in his early days, he spent time at the Air Force Military School, Jos Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) and Britania Royal Naval College (Dartmouth), United Kingdom. Currently, he is one of the best senators in the upper chamber due to his passion for youth empowerment in his constituency. 3. Jubril Folajimi Mohammed: He is the son of Nigeria’s information minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. He is currently a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikeja I Constituency. Folajimi studied law, and obtained both first degree in law (LLB) and Masters Degree (LLM) and was subsequently called to the bar (BL). Before his foray into politics, he was the managing director of Knightsbridge Dredging Limited based in Lagos. Folajimi is following the footsteps of his dad who has distinguished himself in politics, first as the national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and now the spokesman of the Nigerian government. 4. Dapo Lam Adeshina: His late father will be proud of him. He is gradually stepping into his dad’s shoes and at the rate he is going, he is likely to surpass his father’s achievements. Dapo has imbibed Late Pa Adeshina’s generosity and ability to carry the people along. He is the former Oyo state commissioner for industry, applied science and technology then later youths and sports and currently representing Ibadan North East/ South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. His late father, Alhaji Lamidi Ona-Olapo Adesina was the executive governor of Oyo state from 1999 to 2003. 5. Femi Fani-Kayode: His father, Victor Adetokunboh Fani-Kayode was a prominent political figure in Nigeria in the 1950s and 1960s. He was the minister of local government and chieftaincy affairs and later deputy premier of the Western Region of Nigeria from 1963 until 1966. Femi has filled his father’s shoes effectively as he is a former special assistant to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and a two time minister also under the Obasanjo administration. Fani-Kayode is known for his deep insight of Nigeria’s politics and is also constant commentator on the state of affairs in Nigeria Read more: https://www.naij.com/865207-fathers-day-5-prominent-nigerian-politicians-following-dads-footsteps.html

Mr Ayodele Fayose has told the President Mohammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop harassing his government by threatening functionaries of the government with arrest and looking for how his election was funded, declaring that; “my election was not funded with public fund and President Buhari and his APC should also tell Nigerians how their own elections were funded.” Addressing journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Governor Fayose said; “Certain top functionaries of the Ekiti State government and some important members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, and some associates of mine, have now been pencilled down for arrest and indefinite detention by the EFCC under the guise of investigating the funds spent by the PDP on the June 21, 2014 governorship election and the Presidential election.” He disclosed that “some politicians from Ekiti State, including an Ekiti born Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and self-professed human rights activist and a Special Adviser to the Vice President are involved in the plot being coordinated through the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Attorney General of the Federation. He said the game plan was to make those to be arrested get detained indefinitely, forced them to make statements incriminating him, while at the same time feeding the public with orchestrated fake reports, using their usual media organs. The governor however advised those behind the plot “to keep their gun power dry and should not be in a hurry, but rather, wait till the end of my tenure in 2018. He challenged the EFCC to tell Nigerians why it was silent on the many petitions submitted to it against APC leaders, especially former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi. Meanwhile, Fayose has revealed how his predecessor, Kayode Fayemi, who is now a minister in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari plunged Ekiti state into debt. Fayose revealed this after he could no longer pay workers salary and pension of retirees in the state. In a breakdown of Ekiti state allocation form the federation account from December 2015 to May 2016, Fayose said the APC government of Kayode Fayemi did not pay May, June and July 2014 Cooperative and Unions Deductions Read more: https://www.naij.com/865384-just-fayose-gives-buhari-welcome-attack-read.html |
