just try and work on your self-esteem, you will be fine.

And try not to generalise next time. It's not the fault of everyone in Nigeria if your circle of male friends is filled with people who don't know anything about personal hygiene. For anything it speaks volumes about your own hygiene. And for those you can't avoid (your father, brother, boyfriend, cousins, uncles etc), it will be good if you buy them good bathing soaps and other toiletries as gift . That way you will be sure you have don't your own part in helping your loved ones no matter how filthy they may be
