Yes he was, but being before someone or being the firstborn doesn't make one God.

The Person of JESUS Christ being GOD ALMIGHTY is a Mystery. HE is not a being you can explain with mere human knowledge or google search.

No man can understand the things of GOD except GOD be with him. It is only through HIS Word ( The Holy Bible) that we can Have understanding of who HE is.
