Following the report on the placement of air defense systems at the Al-Jarrah military field in Aleppo, A joint Russian-Syrian ceremony was held yesterday in which the field was inaugurated after renovation and upgrading of its infrastructure and military equipment. According to Syrian sources, it will be used by both Syrian and Russian air forces and Russian forces are expected to stay there. Syrian sources affiliated with the regime claim that the Russian air defense systems stationed in this field will be used to stop attacks by the Israeli Air Force in the Aleppo area (for example against the Center for Scientific Research and against weapons that the Iranians transfer through the international airfield in Aleppo).
