Buybull od ordered the Israelites to exterminate all the inhabitants of Canaan (men, women, and children) and to take their land. The God of the Bible commanded Moses and his followers:

Deuteronomy 20:10 When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. .

First of all bible God gave them 2 conditions, what are the conditions? lets read the barbaric conditions.

Deu 20:11 If they accept and open their gates, [/b] all the people in it shall be subject to FORCED LABOUR and shall work for you. [/b] .

Can you accept this kind of offer of peace?? can you allow this type of peace offer in Nigeria if you are the president?? think about it.

What if they refuse accept this offer of compulsion, what is going to happen?

Lets read further :
Deu 20:12 If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city.

Deu 20:13 When the LORD your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it.

Deu 20:14 As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the LORD your God gives you from your enemies.

Now this was how they are to treat cities that are not even near to the alleged promise land i.e cities that are far away that are not even a threat to them.

Deu 20:15 This is how you are to treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby.

How about the natives of the ppromised land? how will they treat them?

Lets read further:
Deu 20:16 However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes.

Deu 20:17 Completely destroy them --the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites--as the LORD your God has commanded you. .
