Diasporan Nigerians are transferring money down for their visit home for Xmas vacations........many who have building projects are also moving funds to monitor such projects personally...many are also looking to purchase estate properties
exactly this is common sense you made but some people are talking a lot of long jargon to take credit and justify a natural temporary phenomenon that happens every year

Best time to buy will be when it gets close to 1200 because by the time it springs back like earlier this year, it will surpass the 2000 naira benchmark. Tinubu have made hundreds of thousands billionaires with his bolekaja fiscal policies but all thanks to him for that and not seeing the loopholes

Many Igbos refused to be counted in last census because MASSOB told them not to participate which was a very wrong and stupid move in a country where revenue is shared according to population.I never not heard that our people ever boycotted census or election before the arrival of nde ekperima freedom fighters.
Thanks for the enlightenment brother

Politics › Re: Keke Riders In Abakaliki Protest Against Data Capturing, Block SperaDeo Junction by rinzaugustine:
I don’t know why historically Igbos don’t like being counted or anything that involves counting human beings . During the last census In 2006 more than 80% of Igbos did not participate and it ended in fiasco in igboland . I am trying to do a research in my PHD thesis about that and the fact that historically Igbos don’t like paramount ruler- subjects rulership but prefers a council of chiefs to that and why the British colonial system failed only in igboland because of this out of all the countries they colonized igbos were the only ones that made them adopt indirect rule system of government . I am trying to intermarry those two ideas in my work and compare to Prof. Thurstan Shaw discovery in Igbo ukwu in present day Anambra state in 1959 which shows with radio carbon evidence dating that Igbos have been living in same location since 7th century AD ie when Roman, Vikings empires and prophet Mohamed were still existing which is about a thousand and four hundred years ago

pocohantas:
Smoking and drinking are not even seen as vices to some people. Especially those who indulge in them or have many in their circle.

Nigerians hate tattoos.
But I don't. I don't have a problem with someone spotting one. As long as it is properly done and not all over the place.
The issue is more about altering things from their natural state. Alcohol and smoking can alter your mind function temporarily same way with tattoos that can alter your body permanently from the way it looks. Many Americans like to alter a thing from the natural state it was by introducing a lot of things while Nigerians prefer it in that natural way or state

The Pet section? f***k, no. Food? For some people, maybe. Agriculture? Who am I kidding? So, I settled for the crime section because this snake is a criminal and got dealt like one.

I've read many snake posts on nairaland and I never bothered with the section.

Anyway, what's the snake breed? Is it venomous?
Looks like a mamba but if inside of the mouth is black that will confirm it’s a mamba …thank your stars cos few people come out alive from that snakes”s bite

Education › Re: South-East Institutions Missing As NELFUND Publishes Student Loan Disbursement by rinzaugustine: 8:38pm On Aug 24, 2024
FreeStuffsNG:
The loan, introduced by President Bola Tinubu, seeks to provide accessible financial aid to students who struggle to afford the rising costs of tuition and related expenses.

According to Ayitogo, “NELFUND sent a verification list to every eligible institution. Only those that responded are receiving funds. We have not yet received any responses from institutions in the South-East.”. He was quoted as saying “There is no consideration of geopolitical zones in disbursement.”

O pari. Senators and HOR from SE who toiled hard to get this law passed will be shocked beyond words!

It is now clear that nobody excluded the SE and Igbo. As a matter of fact, Patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction and other Nigerians studying in institutions located in the South-East are just victims of bad luck! . Their fellow Igbo kith and kin studying in other geopolitical zones made the list and had since been credited with the funds. Patriotic Nigerians of Igbo extraction studying outside Igboland, like others from other regions, are successful beneficiaries of this brilliant and patriotic initiative of the Asiwaju Tinubu Presidency.

Here is the lesson; when you hate, criminally defame and point accusing fingers at an innocent person, the remaining 4 fingers of illwind you wish others are pointing at you! You bless Nigeria, Nigeria will bless you, you curse Nigeria, Nigeria will curse you and your generations and nothing you sow in Nigeria or outside Nigeria will be blessed because the curse will follow you around!

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

The way you talk like a half human is really really funny.

Enter motor and come to Owerri and you will see your brothers littered in Ama JK, Douglas, Wethdral roads in Owerri, Imo state.

For the fact that Igbos don't make noise with your lousy "accommodating tribe" claim, doesn't mean your tribesmen are not littered in Igbo land.
they are mostly in parks selling agbo and herbal medicines and tailoring work. They don’t have high aspirations, never buy land even if it is for 50k not to talking of building houses. They like living in slums where rent is cheap. I once saw some in lafiaji street in fegge. They were like 50 in one one room and when I saw the sanitary condition of the place I vomited and couldn’t eat for sometime. Those people do not have any ambition in life at all and that’s why they are comfortable with generational poverty

I was telling a colleague the same thing yesterday. It's like they are delusional, wishing the problems away instead of tackling them head-on. They are relying on their divide-and-rule tribalism, which the Yoruba are fond of using. What they don't seem to realize is that hunger isn't about tribes. We don't care if the Ibo join in the protest or not—that's their own problem—but hunger is ravaging everywhere, so the people are angry.

The only people I pity are the very few good Yoruba because this protest will quickly turn all tribes against the Yoruba. Everyone will start attacking any Yoruba living in their state. Here in Edo, we have them, and trust me when I say that whenever we think of bad governance, the first point of anger is towards any Yoruba neighbors, its just that everyone is holding back for now.

If Ibos like let them sit at home forever and not join the protests, the rest of us other tribes are enough to push home our points.
I mentioned same thing many months ago and till now that Nigeria is heading towards that direction. Any Yoruba living in another zone in Nigeria whether north or south should have a plan B on how to get back home by now because it might become bloody
Romance › Re: Lady Seeks Advice On How To Approach Men (photos & Video) by rinzaugustine: 10:34pm On Aug 18, 2024
Not advisable . Common sense should tell anybody with sense that men and women are not and will never be the same in anything. If a woman tries this on a man, the man thought process would be to just bang her and move on and not a relationship and the lady will end up turning herself into a public toilet for men

I’m googling cheap hotels in New York as we speak and their are some for $70-$100 dollars

I’m sure he’d have at least a full bed and somewhere to shower in such cheap hotels. Maybe even breakfast.

I don’t doubt that he slept in such conditions but saying he paid $80/8 hours seems rather silly. Maybe he wasn’t wise at all. He let himself get fleeced
Your search might be just NY but narrow it down to the city and the prices will shock you…Queens, Bronx and all those areas frequented by tourists are usually very expensive when you book at short notice. There was a time I booked for short notice in DC and couldn’t find anywhere less than $200 and when you add the hidden charges and taxes it will push it close to $250 at time of payment and and I have encountered it many times even in Minneapolis that’s famed to be cheap so the secret to cheaper bookings is in planning your trip early way ahead of time
