An Ibadan Polytechnic student confronted a fellow student identified as Temi for sleeping with her boyfriend.

According to the video, Temi has been sleeping with her friend's boyfriend and the lady cheated felt it was high time to put an end to it by confronting her.

Temi the accused claimed she was innocent but the accuser who was ready for war kept on pressuring her in annoyance.

A dad, identified as Malam Abubakar Mohammed, has been arrested for putting his 10 years old son, Mohammed, in chains and locking him up in the house in Minna, Niger State.

According to source, the man took the action over Mohammed’s absenteeism from the UBE Primary School, Tunga in Minna, and refusal to attend Islamic school.

Mr. Abubakar said he took the action as corrective measures because the son is fond of absconding from school and keeping late nights, adding that all the entreaties for him to change failed.

He said he chained and locked him up on Wednesday morning after he went for the early morning prayers and did not see him in the mosque.

“We looked for him everywhere but couldn’t find him. In fact, he apparently did not sleep at home; so I went to where they normally hang out with his friends and saw him sleeping.

I took him home and decided to use chain to prevent him from going anywhere until I returned from a naming ceremony but when I got back, I learnt some people from the human rights have taken him,” he explained.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office today, November 14, 2019, arraigned Tukur Lando Yabo, Director Works, Tureta Local Government Area; Hon. Abubakar Nasarawa Maigishiri, a Councillor in the Local Government; Sambo Abdullahi, Cashier,  Ministry for Local Government Chieftancy Affairs;  Danjuma Ibrahim, Cashier,  Ministry of Social Welfare, Sokoto State, and Abubakar Salihu Tureta before Justice Bello Duwale of the Sokoto State High Court on six count charge bordering on conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and diversion of workers salary to the tune of N980,000 (Nine Hundred and Eighty Thousand).

Their troubles started when the Commission received a petition from one Umar Shehu, alleging that some employees of Sokoto Marshal Corps/ Neighborhood Watch of Tureta Local Government were not paid their salaries for April, May and June, respectively.

He further alleged that the defendants refused to pay their salaries and diverted the money for their personal use.

NDLEA has arrested two persons with 153 wraps of cocaine at the Lagos airport.

The NDLEA Airport Commander MMIA, Garba Ahmadu, said 54-year-old widow and mother of six, Sulaimon Kudirat Aduni, was the first to be arrested.

Aduni ingested 60 wraps but excreted 28 wraps and her life is currently in danger because of the remaining wraps.

Ahmadu said: “She was arrested on October 26, 2019, during outward clearance of passengers. She was to board Virgin Atlantic flight to London.

On October 27, 2019, she developed some complications and vomited two wraps resulting from irritation and stomach discomfort.

During preliminary interview, she admitted that she ingested a total of 60 wraps of cocaine. She has so far excreted 28 wraps. She coughed intermittently before vomiting and fainted in the process.

She was promptly rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). After she was certified stable, the suspect was taken back to custody.

She is being kept under strict observation for possible excretion of the remaining 32 wraps.”

Adunni said she was given the drug to take to London by one Mukaila. She said she was promised her N1million.

The command also arrested Adindu Obinna Hyacinth, 45, for the ingestion of 93 wraps of cocaine. He was to board a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt.

Ahmadu said: “In the process of excretion, the suspect made the first excretion of 35 wraps pand it was observed that one of the wraps excreted was almost unwrapped.

After taking medication, he excreted a total of 93 wraps with a total weight of 1.620kg.” Upon interrogation, Hyacinth said he agreed to get involved in crime because someone stole his N6 million and he was desperate for cash. He said he was promised 3,000 Euros.
