'Stranded bird' arrested after allegedly turning into an old woman in Oworonshoki, Lagos.

This incident happened live at No 39 Miyaki Street Oworonshoki, Lagos.

According to eye witness, big bird landed on the ground and turned to an old woman. She said she flew all the way from Ijebu_ode.

The residents resulted into pouring anointing oil of the old woman that managed to transform after the other was burnt before it could transform.

Drama ensured in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Thursday as nemesis caught up with a popular street beggar Nzube Ekene who pretended to be blind.

The mother of two who often beg for money at the traffic light around the popular Fajuyi roundabout with a ten year old girl she trafficked was arrested through the intervention of the chairperson of the Association of Women Lawyers known as FIDA Mrs Seyi Ojo.

During the arrest Ekene was putting on tattered cloths and a hat that covers her face thus deceiving members of the public that she is blind.

She usually seat on the floor while the teenage girl goes around to beg for money from motorists and passengers held on by the traffic light.

Giving her account to Roundoffnews, FIDA chairperson Mrs Seyi Ojo said she was in the queue of vehicle stopped by the traffic light when the girl approached her and begged for money a situation she said touched her heart deeply.

Mrs Ojo said on getting to the office, she ordered the invitation of the woman with hope of rendering possible assistance only to discover that she was a fake.

According to her, the woman was well dressed beneath but only covered herself with the rags so as to attract sympathy.

Over eleven thousand naira was found on her as at eleven o’clock in the morning when she was arrested.

The little girl whom she was using to beg for money could not hide her feelings as she grabbed the FIDA chairperson in joy for rescuing her.

Narrating her ordeal the girl who gave her name as Ada said the woman came to her mother in Imo state and requested that she go with her to the Southwest so that she can assist her trading.

She promised to enroll the girl in school which she never did.

Ada said she was surprised after getting to Ado when the woman told her to be begging on her behalf.

According to Ada, she first insisted but the woman beat and threaten her before she succumbed.
.
She claimed that she had begged the woman overtime to allow her speak with her mother but she insisted and even tore the book where she had earlier wrote the number of her mother.

The girl also complained that the woman was in the habit of maltreating her despite the fact that they make lots of money on daily basis.

Speaking with Roundoffnews, the fake blind woman-beggar Ekene said she lives in Ikare Ondo State but from Imo State.

She claimed that she was involved in the business to survive due to lack of job.
She confirmed that she lied to Ada’s mother about her job.

As at the time of this report the mother of two has been handed over to NAPTIP for further interrogation.

Suspected serial killer been taken to an undisclosed location after his confession and meeting with the press

The 26 years old serial killer, Gracious David West, was arrested on September 19, 2019, by the Rivers State police on his way to Uyo along East West road.

In new video made available to us, he was seen been taken to an undisclosed location after his parade by the police and confession on how he started from Lagos and moved to Owerri and from Owerri to Port Harcourt.

Smart move

Lady outsmarts fraudsters trying to lure her with "I have dollars to change" along ago Festac route in a fake taxi she entered on her way to work.

In a quick video made by the lady before alighting from the taxi, a male passenger was heard telling the driver that he has dollar to change as early as 7am today.

When the lady on hearing them, told the drive to drop her but he insisted on looking for where the man could change the dollars.

Mounting so much pressure on them, he had to drop her off by the roadside.

The trial of soldiers that stole N400million from a dignitary they were escorting from Sokoto in July 2019 begins.

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday began the trial of a former General Officer Commanding, 8 Division, Sokoto State, Maj. Gen. Hakeem Otiki, over the alleged diversion of N400m by five runaway soldiers attached to the division.

The trial at the General Court Marshal in Asokoro, Abuja, was presided over by the Nigerian Army Chief of Policy and Plans, Lt.-Gen Lamidi Adeosun.

The court has seven other Major-Generals as members. They are Maj.-Gen A.A Tarfa, Maj.-Gen John Malu, Maj.-Gen C.T Olukoju, and Maj.-Gen C.C. Okonkwo.

The prosecuting counsel was led by Major J.S. Obot and has Majors I. Suleiman and Orumo as members.

The defence counsel for the embattled GOC is led by Okechukwu Ajunwa, a barrister, and supported by Major Femi Oyebanji (retd.) and Ishaq Adekunle.

The former GOC, Otiki, appeared to be ill and was brought into the court on a wheelchair, having beside him medical officers of the Nigerian Army who monitored him during the trial.

Operatives of the Advance Fee Fraud Unit of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Headquarters, have arrested 25 students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho, Oyo State, for their allege involvement in various forms of cybercrime including romance scam, love scam, possession of forged documents, and obtaining money by false pretence.

The students, who are aged between 18 and 29 years old, were arrested at their off-campus hostels, following a three-day raid carried out between September 16 and 19, 2019.

Operatives acted on intelligence report, which was investigated using sophisticated equipment. The raid also followed months of surveillance and monitoring of their activities.

They include: Pelumi Adigun, 18; Umaru Frederick, 21; Damilola Emmanuel, 22; Tomiwa Oyewole, 29; Adeleke Owolabi, 24; Oladosu Abdullahi, 23; Abdulmusaq Ismail, 25; Isajimi Joshua, 23; Olaniyan Tunde, 22, and Ebosele Francis, 28.

Others are: Oladejo Ibrahim, 26; Oluwadamilare Abimbola, 25; Orimoloye Joshua, 23; Alfred Samuel, 22; Bayewu Ishola, 23; Abiola Gbenga, 25; Alfred Daniel, 20; Agboola Solomon, 21; Arolewola Damilola, 25; Amoo Tunmise, 23; Akeem Taiwo, 25; Segun Ajibola, 25; Hassan Segun, 24; Onicha Joel, 23, and Tafa Bassit, 25.

In the course of executing the search, Ismail, who confessed to being involved in internet fraud, took operatives round hostels, leading to the arrest of many of the culprits.

Some of the suspects who jumped over the fence to escape arrest, were nabbed in the process.

Some of the items recovered from them, which are believed to be the proceeds of their illegal activities online, include, a 4matic  Benz, a Toyota Camry, a Toyota Corolla, two Macbook computers, two iPads, two iPhones and many other documents, which will be subjected to forensic analysis.

A suspected member of the gang involved in the killing of young girls in Port Harcourt, has been arrested by the Rivers state police command.

He reportedly tried strangling a young lady with a pillow at a hotel in Mile 4 area of Port Harcourt.

According to the Rivers state commissioner of police, Mustapha Dandaura, they got a distress call from the hotel before they quickly rushed in and arrested the suspect who was found in one of the hotel rooms with the victim.

There was a mild drama in the early hours of today between men of the Nigeria Police and a driver accused of following "one way" in at Iyana-Isolo bus stop.

According to a lady who's an eyewitness, she cried out on how those who are supposed to protect lives and properties (Police) are now the ones exploiting its citizens.

Taking to Instagram to pour out her heart, she wrote;

On my way to oshodi this morning we where stopped by some corrupt hungry police officials at iyana-isolo b/stop they accused the bus driver that was following the right lane to oshodi for following 1 way and took his bus which was a lie rather they where following one way thinking they are above the law this is Injustice the very people that are supposed to protect us are exploiting us while the very buses that followed 1 way where allowed
