A driver almost lost his life in the early hours of today at Ajah bus stop if not for the intervention of Nigerians.

According to an eyewitness account, the driver was hit by the LASTMA officials while struggling with them on the road.

The officials on noticing the man was unconscious, abandoned him and took to their heels.

It was really a tragic incident as motorists and passersby narrated.

Some Nigerians who returned from South Africa have recounted their ordeal during the xenophobic attacks that ravaged some cities.

The returnees who expressed mixed emotions on their return, burst into tears as they alighted from the Air Peace Boeing 777 aircraft that flew them into Lagos.

They expressed their bitter experiences in the hands of South Africans.

In an interview with Punch, one Mr. Bethel Midos who is a mechanic for any kind of German car recounted how his shop was destroyed and almost lost his life in the cause of escaping.

The Nigeria Police Intelligence Response Team IRT have arrested the most wanted commander Of kidnappers terrorizing the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano expressway by name Bello Audu who is 40years of age.

The kidnapper who goes by the name, Yellow, was arrested and paraded by men of the IRT.

While being paraded, he confessed to over 50 kidnappings and killings of many innocent Nigerian and the terrorizing of the highway for motorist.

Many of his key gang members were also apprehended in their hideouts by the IRT.

The chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, earlier today in Lagos, received over 187 Nigerians trapped by xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

According to TheNation, the returnees who expressed mixed emotions on their return, burst into tears as they alighted from the Air Peace Boeing 777 aircraft that flew them into Lagos.

They expressed their bitter experiences in the hands of South Africans. Mrs Dabiri informed returnees that the government had made available to them N40,000 recharge card to enable them communicate with their family members.

In appreciation of the gestures from the government, the returnees rose in euphoria to sing the national anthem.

UPDATE: 15-YEAR OLD GIRL IMPREGNATED BY BLOOD SISTER'S HUSBAND AND ILLEGAL ABORTION CARRIED OUT BY LAB SCIENTIST IN ONITSHA

Here is an update on the 15-year-old girl impregnated by her blood sister's husband and illegal abortion carried out by lab scientists in Onitsha.

The DG of Behind Bar Initiative, Harrison Gwamnishu who made the update on his official IG handle, wrote;

We rescued the victim some time ago when she almost lost her life due to complications from illegal abortion carried out on her by a laboratory scientist in General Hospital, Onitsha where the perpetrator took her to.

We stabilized the victim by taking her to a specialist hospital where illegal abortion complications were managed and retained products of conception evacuated.

The 35-year perpetrator, Chris Azuoma and the laboratory scientist who carried out the abortion were arrested and later released by 33 Divisional Police, Onitsha.

We protested against their release and petitioned the IGP...The primary suspect Chris Azuoma was re-arrested with huge efforts from @ruggedybaba who made sure perpetrator was re-arrested.We say thank you.

We wish to inform you all the perpetrator's family reached out to Chris Azuoma's wife, and at the moment,they and the police prosecutor have sworn an affidavit of withdrawal and Chris Azuoma has been set free.

Our continued fight against peadophiles will only yield positive results if all government parastatals in line with human rights protection (The Judiciary, The Police System,Women Affairs,National Human Rights Commission e'tal) can stand up and do the needful.
We cannot do it alone,we implore all hands to be on deck as there are much more vulnerable individuals exposed to these heinous crimes daily.

A woman Lilian Weta, 28, has stunned many in Busia after she left her husband with whom they have had two children and moved in with another married man to escape marital woes.

The two women Lilian and Milicent from Busia County have sent the nation into shock after a decision to swap husbands.

According to Lilian in a video, she revealed how her husband forced her to seek solace elsewhere after he brought another woman to their matrimonial home in Butula about a month ago.

“He first lied to me that his cousin from Bungoma was coming to visit and so I should prepare some food and a place for her to sleep. Moments later, a lady walked in and told me that I was in her space and that my matrimonial home now belonged to her,” said Lilian.

Lilian decided to go for the other woman’s husband in Matayos constituency and it did not take long before the two started a relationship.

This 16-year-old boy burgled a shop and stole a Samsung laptop, mobile phones and designer clothes including used panties.

He was caught by the youths who noticed movement inside the burgled shop.

Davido Adeleke is sending love and light to his late mother, assuring her that she might be gone but lives forever in his heart.

Veronica Imade Adeleke passed away on March 6th, 2003. She was only 39 years old, and her death shocked everyone, starting from her family.
