well FIRS is autonomous and they pay their salaries themselves. They are entitled to 4% cost of collection of all non oil revenue generated subject to the approval of the senate.

The oil sector workers on Tuesday rejected a move by the Federal Government to incorporate its workers wage into the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.This contained in a letter by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association to the Minister of Labour and Employment.The letter was jointly signed by Lumumba Okugbawa, PENGASSAN General Secretary and Olawale Afolabi, NUPENG General Secretary,on Tuesday.NAN reports that a Circular from theOffice of the Accountant General of the Federation dated September 7, 2018, directed the enrollment of the Oil and Gas workers on lPPIS, whichwe frowned at.This resulted in series of meetings to proffer ways to address the matter, at the end of the meetings; aTechnical Committee was set up bythe Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to assess the Unions’ concerns regarding its implementation.It stated: “It is pertinent to state thatthis Committee is yet to meet as wewrite, unfortunately, we have been inundated again by the threat from the Office of the OAGF, via a Circular with reference number OAGF/IPPIS/93/1187, dated 29th August 2019 to stop the salaries of our members, come October 2019. “We reaffirm that we are not againstthe Government Policy regarding IPPIS, but we wish refer to the existence of Government IntegratedFinancial Management information System platform which is run by theCentral Bank of Nigeria.”According to the statement, GIFMISwas already serving a similar purpose and the Presidential initiative on Continuous Audit whose responsibility, is to audit the nominal and payroll of Agencies as recently emphasised by the Ministerof Finance.It noted that the unions have therefore directed its members in affected regulatory agencies not to provide any information concerning personnel payment and allowances to the Accountant-General’s Office for the purpose of lPPIS, until the Technical Committee meets.It added: “We are also putting all the implementing agencies of government on notice that if our salaries are stopped without clarification of the issues raised; we will be left with no other option than to withdraw our services without any further notice.”

That is why they are strongly against it, and even threatening the government of withdrawing their services (Strike) if they get pushed to the wall.

If nnpc recruitment can take place during the tenure of one of the PERCIEVED most corrupt petroleum minister in this country, and some common men were still able to get in, then someone is here saying all the slots have been sold out to the highest bidders.

APL will drop soon (my sauce is not specific). Please ensure to have NIMC enrolment slip (you will need it not directly for the documentation but get it). Documentation is going to be online...all you will need to do is print out confirmation of completion page for submission.

This can be true. Anyone directly involved with either the development, maintenance or operation of the NNPC portal can have access to that information, without necessarily being involved or aware of anything about APL.

Or a compensation, they said everyone will be paid tfare. But the people not getting APL will get paid a second time (compensation).

No bro, I doubt if anyone had the space to put down their location. They would only check your center of CBT and pay accordingly depending on how far or close. My guess is the payment officer hasn't pick up the sheet or page you wrote your details yet.

I can now boldly say that there was no column to fill in location in addition to the account details for those that did their interview on the 3rd, 1:30 pm to be specific.
Note: This is not a theory, but an already established Fact.

I just hope this is not what is responsible for the delay in disbursing our tfare.

Yes, we play a lot here. Yes, most of us act like we are immature (we are not). we argue, postulate theories, dissect them and sometimes even trade insults. In all this, one thing is absolute, and that is the fact that we are all stars in our own rights. I believe we all didn't make it this far by sheer luck alone, but for the fact that we are all top performers in our respective fields.
APL or no APL, I believe we are all destined for great things, all we have to do is find our calling and follow it in pursuit.

That 2012 Naijahotjobs thread was sad. People waited and hoped for 5 years. 5 years!!!!! My God. So sad. I hope all of them are in a better place in life now.

On the bright side, however, the APLs that rolled in for some of them -- bebrief and others -- was a beautiful thing to watch happen live. I could feel their emotions -- their joy, knowing that at that moment, in that particular instant, thier lives just changed for good forever. Powerful stuff!

Knowing what eventually happened, and on which day the APL strated rolling out, and persons who got, I felt like a god from the future when I was reading through the thread. I just kept screaming "calm down calm down , APL is coming tommorow here here oh" ..... I was even telling bebrief that he got the Appointment letter but he couldn't hear me.

Probably same way God is telling some of you to not bother much and calm down because you eventually got the Appointment letter but you can't hear ( for obvious reasons).

Anyways, I saw one comment on the thread that made me smile so much because it was like a beautiful travel through time & space. ( screenshot below).

Which is why you guys should take an oath of allegiance for posterity's sake that you would come back here many years later and simply type " I am senior manager now" ... or " I am so so and so now"..

Doesn't necessarily has to be NNPC related because fact is: there are many people here who won't get the APL. Of course they'll be disappointed at first, but with time, will end up in a much much better place in Life.

The important thing is to come back here many many years later and redeem the pledge you've made to posterity, so future generations too can read this thread one day and travel beautifully through time & space.
