press9jatv: BREAKING NEWS APC PLANS VOTERS' SCARING CAMPAIGNS THROUGH GUNSHOTS ● Plots to Suppress Voters' Turn out ● Seeks to Blame PDP for Gun Campaigns A meeting of Osun state leaders of the All Progressive Congress(APC) was allegedly held today at a secret location at Osogbo where a decision was taken to launch a voters' scaring campaign through sporadic gunshots starting from Thursday. The meeting attended by two defeated senatorial candidates, a leading member of the House of Assembly, two former commissioners and five other party bigwigs agreed to launch the gun shooting campaigns from Thursday night up to the wee hours of Friday. As part of its voters' suppression plan, the APC is also planning to shift the blame of the evil plan on the Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). A very dependable source at the meeting reported that those in attendance lamented the growing unpopularity of the APC and the increasing sign that the PDP may continue its winning streak at the Saturday polls. " The meeting admitted the high popular rating of Governor Adeleke and the rousing welcome the state Governor is receiving among the residents during his campaigns for the Assembly candidates. The meeting had a candid review of the Governor's performance which they agreed has been quite good. There is a feeling among them that the Saturday election is lost already. There is open desperation among those at the meeting. " I can tell you the meeting also discussed alleged tongue lashing of Osun APC by the President-elect, Tinubu. They felt rejected by Tinubu and so they seem ready to resort to self help. They sounded very desperate at the meeting", the source said. It was learnt that the meeting resolved that the only way to stop a 26-0 win by the PDP is to ensure voter suppression by enforcing low turnout of voters. The meeting felt sporadic gunshots could do the magic of forcing voters to stay at home next Saturday, the source posited, citing the case of a former Commissioner at the meeting who boasted that he had already started the gun shots campaign in his local government. The APC is however oiling a strategy to blame PDP leaders for the series of gunshot incidents. Already, APC seems to have secured the police partnership in the ongoing raid and hunt for PDP leaders Further checks revealed that the planned voter suppression is to be supported by ongoing planned arrests of key PDP leaders across the state. This the meeting also felt will reduce the capacity of the PDP to mobilise its supporters. Our correspondent however reported further that the meeting ended hurriedly when the infighting between Mr Oyetola and Senator Omisore surfaced towards the tail end of the meeting. It would be recalled that the state PDP leadership had cried for help over alleged collusion between the police and the APC to arrest and detain top PDP leaders ahead of the Saturday polls. Adeleke is the chief security officer of the state, he needs to act fast on this if the information is true. No polling unit on the internet! |

Misterone: first of all, in an appeal, no new evidence is introduced. Therefore, based on the tribunal judgement that forgery was committed but not enough the disqualify the PDP candidate. A cross appeal was filed by the APC for the court of appeal to decide whether forgery is grade by grade as the tribunal stated. Ok ooo |

Misterone: Yeah, his forgery case may likely nail him because if it passes, then one can forge a certificate and add others as supporting documents and later claim since the other certificates are valid, the forged one does not matter Forgery case has been settled after the 2019 election. |

StreetFight: BVAS issue in Oyetola's case is not same as Tinubu's case. I think you need to read the write up well.
In Oyetola Versus Adeleke, there was BVAS. In Tinubu Versus Obi Versus Atiku, there is no BVAS. And Court already ruled that INEC can conduct elections with or without BVAS Ok oo. When the case commence you go see. |

garfield1: Atiku did not win the north, tinubu won.dont forget some of these govs worked against tinubu.if the north wanted atiku, they would have defied all odds and voted him. Tinubu won the North? Do you mean the whole North which include the North Central? I never included the North Central to my projection in favour of Atiku. I said the North Central is open ground and whoever wins there will emerge. |
Politics › Re: Why Did Atiku Fail To Get Bloc Votes From The North? by rolams(m): 10:23am On Mar 12, 2023 |
garfield1: For me,it is because of the reasons I enumerated before the polls and many more.
Firstly, the north or core north only rallies behind radical, fanatic muslims or Muslims that appear simple, incorrupt, sharia driven, conservative like ahmadu bello, shehu yaradua, buhari etc.atiku lacks these features... Secondly, the Muslim Muslim ticket is attractive to many core Muslims.they prefer it to a liberal Muslim pairing a southern Christian like atiku.
Thirdly, atiku is not grasstooted or close to the masses.he is too elitist and has no populist movement like buhari or kwankwaso Fourthly, atiku does not have core loyalists working for him tirelessly.people in the north like tambuwal, saraki, lamido, muazu babangida etc that worked for him are not his loyalists and did so based on being in pdp or monetary reasons.atiku does not believe in loyalty,he thinks money can buy everything.
Finally, the defections were not overwhelming.the apc countered defections in sokoto, kebbi, gombe, jigawa.no governor defected most importantly.additionally, the north felt it was the turn of the south and tinubu having helped return back power to the south should be repaid in the words of gov masari.the na mu na mu by rolams failed, naka sai naka by change the change failed and shinkafa de wake by immaculatejoe failed to materialize.

Again, the theory of Na mu, Na mu ne was overrode by the impact and influence of the Northern APC governors who supported Tinubu because lots of gifts were given to voters and many imams were given 10m Naira to support and preach in support of Muslim Muslim ticket. In all, that's just Nigerian politics for you. It keeps changing every season. |

Politics › Re: INEC Declares Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Elect by rolams(m): 5:37am On Mar 01, 2023 |
The PDP wasted 14 million votes because of greed, impatience and disorder. While the APC was able to manage, organised, strategize and master and execute their game plan. The south east miscalculated and failed. To be honest, the effect of the G-5 on the PDP is close to zero. The party was actually hurt and damaged by the Obi factor.
Not that the North are willing to surrender power easily but the frustration they get from Tinubu settings was far beyond their expectations.
The most unrealistic candidate in this election is an overated Kwakwaso whose popularity does not exceed Kano State.
Congratulations to the president elect BOLA AHMED TINUBU!
Let's hope for better Nigeria, we shall get there soon. |
