Kobojunkie:
Here is my problem with all these claims. They come off more like accusations which when you do the actual calculation make no sense at all. It almost has the man acting on his own to control all the money even with the many people under him and all. I am beginning to see this as a huge problem as with cases such as these in the past, the claims go unproven and so these men get away with it and we the people are then left at the mercy of others who come along to steal. Basically, what is up with bookkeeping practises in that country??/ Why are we, in the year 2008 still doing the "THROW ARBITRARY NUMBERS" around game without having more solid digits to run with and bring these men to book with?? Are these trying to convince us that even the man's own secretary watched him get away with Naira 80,000,000,000 and did nothing about it ??
Exactly my point!!

If i understand your question well, then it's all about simple calculation and common sense.

According to ministry of finance, Ebonyi state for example was allocated about 150billion naira within the 8 years tenure of Sam Egwu. He used about 50billion to pay workers and maintained the various offices. Assuming he embarked on projects worth 20 billion( though there is nothing like this on ground); then, where did the rest of the money go to?
Of course resting in his fat foreign bank accounts.
The internal revenues, grants and loans given to the state are not even included in the 80 billion.
The current governor has not made public how much the state is indebted to.
Yeah right!! like if he's the only one in the Government of Ebonyi state. Who doesn't know what LG leaders can do with funds? or do we talk about commisioners? and the list is endless.
