Thanks for the clarification but I would like to advise to remove the screenshot. Now they can believe one can make that only on Uber. I am also only on Uber and I make good earnings but I can't post it here.
no one said its impossible on uber, but given the same conditions, bolt is better.

If I do 81 trips on bolt like he did, we won't be level mates

Baba it's possible to make such on Uber. You just have to put in work. And target Soji.

But yeah, bolt is the preferred riders choice. Most feel bolt is cheaper. Me do only Uber.

Welcome back baba.
outstanding.

5% Commission or 5% Commission bonus?

Have you observed after meeting up with the trip requirement to activate the commission, your subsequent trips gets bonus that would be added to your earnings.
What does that bonus mean to you?

This people are scamming us with confused grammar.

Literally, what they mean with 5% commission bonus is, you get 5% commission on every trip fare you embark which to be added to your earnings while they remove their own normal 20% commission so meaning you are paying 15% commission on your trips after meeting up with their requirements....

If you are doubting, try to do calculations when you hit the number of trips required to activate it then note your 1st subsequent trip after meeting up and calculate 5% of that trip, you will notice its that amount that is added as bonus to your earnings and also calculate the 20% of that same trip and you will notice the 20% is what is added to their outstanding commission....

it says "pay"

False.
they are.

Shortest distance is 500 as against uber's 400, and a 5ngn advantage per km. It adds up in the long run.

This is about doing what suits you.
I have an active bolt account but stopped working with it after making enumerations of the disadvantages attached to working on bolt, I decided to work only with the app that gives a peace of the mind.
I can't display what I make here but I believe there are people who work smartly and not running around the whole state believing they are moving lagos. The highest surge on taxify is 1.9 while I have taken 3.~ severally on Uber, and an average surge I chase on Uber is 2 and above.

How can you compare 5% with 3% that has been making several killing right from Tuesday to Sunday (count it and see that's a whole 5 days of lesser stress).
You also said bolt fares are higher?
Riders claim bolt is cheaper while drivers say bolt pays higher, now tell me who is the serpent deceiving both parties and that is one of the reasons (bolt is deceitful) I dumped them.
Surge only makes their fares defer but same when no surge.
( Uber: 11/min, 60/km, 200 base fare) (bolt: 10/min, 65/km, 200km base fare). I would like to know the difference on a 20km trip.

Like I said earlier that it is whatever rocks your boat.
i can agree to whatever rocks your boat, but enumeratively, bolt gets more brownie points.

First off, uber's 12hrs daily is a disaster.

You waste valuable fuel trying to get home after your time elapses. That surely counts against uber.

2.Everyone on ehailing runs around Lagos, moving Lagos. That's not really a point against bolt but actually a point for because since its the preferred app by riders, you tend to get trips from any part of Lagos at anytime. And riders tend to take longer trips on bolt than on uber. More kms driven = more money. And since uber is not the preferred in some areas, I can also argue that uber drivers waste more fuel driving around. It's also an established fact that uber drivers have the longest pickup kms.

3. The highest surge on isn't 1.9, but 3.0. You don't really need to chase a surge on bolt because it basically always almost there most of the daytime on weekdays and most of whole time on weekends. Weekends are amazing because of the distance trips on bolt. You really can't compare 65/km to 60/km. What that means is that a bolt driver makes 5k more weekly, than an uber driver if they both do 1000km a week, which would even be difficult for the uber Guy because of his hair restrictions.

4. Because of greater demand especially on Sunday's, it's easier to gross over 35k on bolt and pay a 5% of 1750 which brings net earnings on a Sunday to over 30k. It's practically impossible on uber even with 3%

Did you say you earn more driving with bolt? I dont think i would want to agree with you on this.

The other day Romoe3 said one can groose 35k daily driving with bolt, na so my longerthroat long and since I didn't work Mon-Wed that particular week I said let me give bolt a try as my 3% after 20 trips on uber would be like a waste of energy.
Thursday all tru I did bolt, continued friday. 12noon I checked my pocket na only 3k dey, fuel in tank was below half I just dey vex... Switched over to uber immidiately, b4 Saturday 4pm the next day I'd already completed my 20 trips. Monday the following week uber credited my account with about 10k.
I was able to pay my 25k weekly rental just within 12noon Friday and still had some money left to spend for myself and family.

Now Tell me, would I had met up my target with bolt within this short period? Obviously NO!

You c money on your dashboard driving with bolt but you truly can't account for it but with uber its totally difference.

Kindly throw more light on No.3 because I really don't understand what you mean by 40% cancellation allawee.

Then you're right with your other submit. I givebthem 100% on those.

Nevertheless, I still believe uber is way better when compare to bolt.
and it's always better to fill up your tank always. Tends to save more fuel. Fuel from Northwest and petrocam makes engine run better and quieter. Rest are shyt

Why are you bothered about lecturing drivers which is better? I understand those that have been blocked on Uber but having both apps and wasting energy on that useless bolt is a useless effort.
While they are still chasing 30-40 trips, I have already completed my 20 trips which are mostly always done by Tues afternoon.
They keep saying there are lesser trips on Uber but here I am with over 380 trips from Feb 1st till now even with several days of no work.
beauty about bolt is that you complete 40 trips on Thursday's and you have Fri, sat and Sunday to make a killing, usually BTW 60 - 75k and pay only 5 or 8%.

Mind you, bolt fares are higher.

It's just commonsense. Covid 19 is here for a while. The infection rate is still quite low for Nigerians, but the federal government has banned large gatherings of more than 50 people.

That means no mosque, no church, and...... No parties.

This is why you should plan your wedding for less than 50 people, take dope ass pics, post them on your timeline and rightly blame covid19 for not inviting everyone else.

Amen somebody.

Thanks for your advice though! wink
well, I drive only on bolt, and I don't have those issues you encountered. And my phone specs is wayyy below yours.

Lost 1.2K last week because of the issue. This night again, another 1.1K. Sent a message to the lady. I still dey wait alert. The matter don tire me. I even tried checking current price, the thing no gree load. Yesterday I tried same, the current price was higher than the final price due to same GPS error ish...
stop checking current price. It disrupts the app but they won't tell you.

Guys on Bolt, aw u dey cope with this gps error issue? Abi na only me the thing dey affect? I Don ask for trip review tire today o especially when I pass tru Lekki link bdrige toll gate.
use a 4G lte phone

4gb ram 64gb space phone. And use 4G sim.

If you don't have that phone spec, you need an upgrade. If you can't buy one now, you need to walk into a phone shop and ask them for "easybuy" easybuy allows you pay 30% for the phone and spread remaining payment for 6 months.

If you can't, update your android software, your bolt app, and your Google Maps. From your bolt app, choose the setting that allows Google Map to come up immediately the trip starts.

Now when ending the trip and the app is taking too long, never ever restart your phone. Keep turning your network on and off until the fare shows. Bolt app always calculates the estimated fare for you.

For those conserving data, the nigga showed the rider a receipt from the screenshot he took from another ride different from what the actual ride fare is.

This is a whole new level of saka. With this video, the guy is definitely a goner as far as bolt is concerned.
Any rider that falls for this is foolish. Bolt always shows riders name under the fare. Why should anyone pay an amount without seeing their name?

good morning house,
please I don't understand this Bolt rating again. how can my rating drop from 4.82 to 4.60 in one day and I never heard any issues with my riders, intact we converse and joked well. that was last week and I didn't work since then but yesterday I did just 3 rides and this morning I have done 2 rides but I noticed my rating has dropped to 4.48 this morning. please am confused, what I'd the lowest rating I could get and what are the consequences from bolt.
you talk too much with them. You can be very professional without opening your mouth. Only speak when spoken to. Your rating on bolt is an average of your last 40 trips

Wow!!! I joined this thread to see how this rideshare thing works. I was hoping I can buy a few cars to try it out but the ways and manner some owners here are complaining about some drivers not remitting money in time is scary. This is still sounding like the same Danfo business I did many years back. Everyday story!

I will probably have to discuss business like this with my doctor to know if my blood pressure medication can handle this.
Driver is key. Majority of people who own cars don't have a good driver selection process. It has never been, and would never be about getting a guarantor for drivers.

Just like in all facets of life, some drivers are more serious than others. The key to being successful is selecting the right drivers. That's not an open secret, thereby making a lot of investors fail.
