EducationWhat Exactly Does NUC Mean By 'fake Certificate'? by room089(op): 7:06pm On Sep 23, 2012
Hello Nairalanders, i think this
hype about fake certificate is
becoming over rated and thus
it has become a cliché in the
country.
NUC has banned satelite
campuses and thus declared
that any certificate acquired
from any of such campuses is
FAKE and thus can not be
accepted for any employment
because it is not recognized in
Nigeria.
My question now is: how
would employers and the
general public decern
between the genuine and fake
certificates? The certificate
from a satelite campus is very
much the same with that
received from the parent
campus. Even the so called
'illegal' campuses of these
foreign universities in Nigeria
do issue the same certificate
as their parent universities. I
found out that academic
activities of these campuses
here are being regulated and
modulated from abroad. As a
matter of fact ,this is why
people still prefer such satelite
campuses because it saves
time to study in any of them as
long as your pocket is heavy. I
know some people that got
their Masters and PGD
certificates from such
campuses and their
certificates were accepted and
recognized by their places of
work.
If NUC means business about
that, it should have come
down hard on the
perpetrators of such 'illegal'
businesses. It should have
borrowed a leaf from NAFDAC
that clamped down on fake drug
producers. That alone made so
many fake drug producers to
go underground. Today in so
many cities in Nigeria, sign-
posts of these so called 'illegal/
satelite' campuses are very
conspicously displayed - and it
still business as usual. What is
NUC still waiting for to swing
into action against them?

hardbody: I have tons of
these brain wrackers in a
compendium of Logic texts,
although it is in soft copy.
Any interested NLander can
send an email and I will
send a copy to them.
Although I must confess I
never read beyond the first
few pages. Fortunately I am
gainfully employed and so
would not b needing those
question and answer
sessions. Before I forget,
Accenture embarrassed me
with one of those questions
way back in time, I felt very
silly when I got home and
realized I goofed.

Hello house, please i would like somebody in the know to enlighten me on the differences between A CONTRACT AND PERMANENT STAFF in the nigerian banks expecially in FIRST BANK. I only know of the salary of the permanent staff which is about two times that of a contract staff. Please why is it so since they possess the same manner of certificate? What other priviledges does a permanent staff enjoy that a contract staff does not enjoy? Can a contract be transfered just like a permanent staff? EducationForeign Universities In Affiliation With Nigerian Institutions. by room089(op): 2:25pm On Jan 07, 2009
Hello nairalanders, please i need some one to enlighten me about how realistic and authentic are the certificates gotten from foreign universitiesthat are in affiliation with some nigerian institutions.

I would have loved to travel abroad to get a good certificate but because of my job,i could not make it. As a result, i have resorted to get it here through an affiliate institution in Nigeria since certification at the end of the day will be done by the parent University abroad. But some of my friends are thinking otherwise;to them such a certificates are not recognized and accepted in Nigeria. Please friends, i need expertsto help me out.

The worst is that i have lost interest in nigerian Universities, since a one year course could last for three years with no qualms.
