Sagamite: Which logic did you provide other than saying person You are not understanding my point, you can prove that 2+2=4 (unless there is new math I'm not aware of) but you cannot prove that smoking causes cancer. Which is why scientist will never say that smoking causes cancer, the data supports that smoking may contribute to becoming ill with cancer. That's why I said you can't teach someone to prove something, only you can show how to support an opinion. Which brain have you stretched Not mine. Once again,I know you are slow but reactions are emotions unless you act on an emotion nothing happens. After the big hoopla over the Kony2012 video, after everyone finished sending the videos to their friends, after all the FB likes. Are we any closer to finding Kony in the Congo? Did anything change for the children kidnapped by the LRA? Not a damn thing happened so how can a reaction create change alone. Really, right not people are outraged about the school shooting that just happened, will anything change? I don't know, but if history is anything to go by it will be the same old same old. Americans were outraged after Columbine. VA Tech. Aurora. Have gun laws changed in the US? When a school shooting happened in the UK. People were outraged, but guess what they used that anger to change the laws so that gun access is limited in the UK. Thanks to them, you have one less instrument to do self harm. You should thank your lucky stars Same reaction. Different response (key word). What have your lagging outcomes predicted so far. The rest, I have no idea what you are trying to say For someone who claims to be smart you sure fail to make that impression of your vast amount of inteligence. |

Sagamite: Lol well you can't teach someone to prove something you can only show them how to support their idea. The UK system can't be better if you graduated from it You keep asking me to prove it and I've given you all the evidence you need. Corruption in Nigeria is worse now than it was in the military era which you can find all kinds of graphs and figures on this data. Nigerian politicians are the highest paid in the world. This Governor probably makes more in one year than Obama makes in three. Now I really know you are a real person. Using past data to predict future outcomes is a common thing. The reason there we know the climate of Nigeria is based on past weather data. We can accurately say that Nigeria will never see heavy snowfall unless some extreme weather event occurs. The 160+ population that Nigeria has on record is based on past data. The fact that you will not be the first person nor the last to scream until they are blue behind a computer screen with no real return for your efforts is proof that its not working. Instead of screaming show us that your efforts have yield and dividens. Like I said it costs nothing to be angry, so no reactions cannot cause change. |

Sagamite: You can't be taught to prove You can learn how to support you thesis or hypothesis My point is supported by the fact that Nigeria has largely gotten worse and not better on corruption, crime, and anything else you can name. Nigeria is number 13 or so on the list of failed states. Surely if Saamite's words matter that would not be the case I'm guessing you haven't attended the top schools in the UK yourself So your dumb arsse realises reaction can bring about change? If that was the case then why with all the complaints and outrage by Nigerians has corruption gotten worse and not better? You yourself even admitted to that fact that its the same old with Nigerians. If anything your idiocy supports my point that having a reaction does nothing to change circumstances. In my own example, change only happened when people actually did something about drinking. Being angry in your pj's in the comfort of your home does nothing. So tell us which mind have you changed with your internet crusade, any change you can quantify for us? Or are fucktards like you content to foam at the mouth behind their screens getting fat on McD and frozen dinners from Tesco |

Sagamite: Exhibit A: Nigeria My proof. Now your turn. No. A reaction cannot initiate it can be a catalyst for change but at the end of the day you actually have to do something. For example: A high amount of deaths of young people due underage drinking in the 80's. The reaction, parents in the US were outraged by what was going on. But here is the important part, some of those parents formed groups to petition Congress to do something to rectify the problem (raising the drinking age). The drinking age is now 21 all over the US. You are still stuck on part two and think part 3 and 4 will just magically happen. I'm in the US, the same place home to the top institutions in the world. Failed indeed Fela did his part by putting out the message standing up for his beliefs in his own way and suffered consequences for it, he was proactive. You on the other hand are the product of a visa marriage who thinks that by screaming and cursing, things will magically happen. You don't have to lead a protest down the streets of Abuja but there are many ways to create change even on a small level. |

Sagamite: You are the one claiming it has worked. So the burden of proof is on you The fact Nigeria is the way it is pretty much is all the proof I need. I hope you have your power point slides ready proactive [prəʊˈæktɪv] adj 1. tending to initiate change rather than reacting to events 2. (Psychology) Psychol of or denoting a mental process that affects a subsequent process [from pro-2 + (re)active] You are reacting to events not actually changing them so you are not being proactive Dipshit the ball is in your court. 1 Like |

Sagamite: Because it hasn't Show us proof that your method produces results. It should matter because the definition of insanity is doing them same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Fela tried and after the eulogies and tears it was business as usual. Egypt has a new President because they went from talking to acting. Did I say go sit with Boko Haram? It could be as simple as helping with education programs for kids in Nigeria. Helping Nigerians to register to vote and informing them about the candidates for those who lack access to proper media. Only a serious person and dipshit would think that you have to meet with BH to make change, maybe its your life long dream I don't know I pray the good Lord is swift in helping you reach you lifelong goal. Like I said you sister tried the same thing and had to walk with her tail between her legs into the sunset, please your "person" is nowhere near my arsenal of naughty words |

Sagamite: Has it changed matters yet? Being proactive means actually moving off your butt ad changing what you don't like about something. Its much harder to do than liking a post on FB. My friend, I took down your sister, you are small work |

So with all the righteous anger you possess what do you plan on doing to change the situation in your own vicinity at least? Or you among the ones with a golden parachute that you'll use when the Poo hits the fan, and your rant was a form of repentance? |

What if you don't believe in the Christian God, like Hindus and Buddhist do not. Are you still bound by the laws of Christianity? If you believe in God then you stop trying to do his job and leave it for him to decide. |

toluene12: But Affirmative action does not mean that I as a AA can score a 1100 on the SAT for a school that requires 1500 score and get in because I'm Black. It ask College Admissions to consider my race as a factor, not the only factor. So if a white person and I make the the same test score, a 1500, Affirmative Action will suggest that maybe I should have a slight edge in being admitted due as a way to create a more diverse environment and be an attempt to make up for a historical wrong. White people have it in their head that minorities and women are not required to get the same grade as them. In this case, the FG is trying to correct an imbalance in education but there literally is no benchmark for some folks to be admitted. It helps with diversity but at the cost of cheating someone qualified out of a spot and it hurts the student themselves (Its like an award for attendance). The problem at the end of the day lies with the local schools because if your students need a "no score" to get into college something is horribly wrong. 1 Like |

As long as the people are consenting adults, no one is being harmed, and its in the privacy of their home, what people do with one another should not be anyone's business |

shymexx: Claim wherever you want to claim - I don't give two fvcks about that especially when it's a project ridden slum like Brooklyn!! How many cops got shot dead tonight??Not that many? Crime has gone down in NYC dramatically since the 90's, its one of the safest cities of its size to live in. Why do you care about who I speak to and who I don't speak to?? I hardly ring some of my cousins out here in the UK, what makes you think I call cousins I've never seen in Nigeria especially folks who can't really understand my accent?? What's there to talk about, anyway?? If my parents need something for their people, I help them with things I can for those who are my age mates, or use things that're the same size as mine - that's where it ends!!I didn't say I cared who you spoke to, but you said none of your immediate family is in Nigeria, which is highly unlikely. I thought you were Nigerian American, now the story has changed to AA... Yet, you know you're from Anambra and you're fixated on the state, no?? Only on nl!!! You, Mrs. Chima, FlowerPower and Blyss are the biggest frauds on this forum - non of you is AA!! Even Royal don't claim AA like you lot do!! Never for one day have I ever said I was Nigerian American. You can search through all my posts on this site and you will never see me ever say such a thing. Blyss is AA, because I'm familiar with him from another site where he also had multiple ids I also post in the Enugu thread, am I fixated on Enugu too and from Enugu? Not being familiar with FT is like saying you're not familiar with BBC!! It shows your knowledge is limited - please, stick to creating threads about Nsigidi writing and Igbo culture!! Not really, the BBC talks about a lot of different things besides business. FT primary focus is business. If I'm not big on business, FT is not on my list of magazines to read. I am familiar with Forbes and Economist because they often have topics on Africa, which interests me, it also helps that in my area at least for Forbes is definitely out on display in the stores. FT is not the most important magazine in the world and some of the same information they write about can be found everywhere on the internet. Not knowing the NYT is a different case altogether Even if you have never read it you must know it How limited your thinking must be to think because I don't read one brand of financial magazine my knowledge is limited. You act as though Bloomberg, CNBC, and God knows whatelse is not available. Maybe I should call your blackness into question because you don't read the latest issues of Black Enterprise? I said: "AT THE PEAK OF WINTER!" What's the peak of winter without snowfalls?? You're not a fast learner!!! The OP probably took the pictures during the hottest period of the year - so what do you expect?? Its the peak of winter here in my area and there is no snow. NYC is in the middle of winter and there is no snow on the ground yet. January is smack dab in the middle of "snow season" and its been snow-free. So what exactly is your point? Some of the pics look like they are in the late afternoon a time that people in warm to hot climates come out unless they live in Dubai. So what is the excuse now? Still not giving props, no?? SMFDH! Nope. Atlanta isn't Sokoto - there are cities in the UK where people hardly come out of their houses... Every time I go to places like Kent and Essex, I hardly see anyone on the streets!! You need to stop comparing apples to oranges! You mean everywhere that is not London Lord knows there is nothing to do outside of London, why bother to come out Well, in case you don't know - United Kingdom isn't just England - it's 4 countries in one, and London is just a place in England... The other countries have their own major cities as well... Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Newcastle etc. are also big cities in England - and they're far better than Manhattan-less New York!! Lol nobody is checking for those cities, London is the sole major city of the UK. Period. Everything in the UK is in London. Sure is that why no one ever really mentions them when we talk about the UK? As for New York, Brooklyn is a shytehole, Bronx is the forgotten city(the yankees are the only thing keeping it alive), Queens is ridden with massive project houses and thugs, and Staten Island is a 3rd world country!! Without Manhattan - New York is definitely another Detroit!! How is Brookly a shytehole some of the most historic events and people of NY are in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is the home to many of the Manhattan workers. Its also the home of a new Basketball team and stadium NYC is the city and Bronx is a borough, and no its not forgotten there are well to do areas in the Bronx. Without Manhattan, much of the same services would probably be in Brooklyn, I don't know why you think Manhattan is some special place. Before Manhattan, NYC was a major port hub (still is) and had many other industries (fishing, mills, manufacturing), Manhattan is icing on the cake. If Manhattan ceased to exist today Brooklyn would probably pick up the slack due to its proximity and life will go on. Nah, the real SOHO in London is where people care about not the bootleg one in NYC!! No one talks about the UK SOHO in America at least, if you mention SOHO here it means NYC, period. SoHo NYC is an Art district that used to be a manufacturing district,Soho London was known to be a intimacy shop and entertainment district and is now a shopping district. They have similar names because...I don't know..British people had colonies over here Strange to think they wouldn't carry somethings across the Atlantic. Stay paying your taxes - the Queen runs the District of Columbia!!Sure she does, I'm sure the Queen wields a lot of power as a ceremonial monarch. Which is the reason why like Canada we have her picture on our money instead Of Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson |
