Christianity EtcRe: Christless Christianity: A Worrying New Trend In Nigerian Churches by Rosebloom: 12:35pm On Apr 29, 2018
Truth be told; it is now very difficult indeed to differentiate between the church and the world, a very thin line between them.

I remember when the newly born again found it hard to identify themselves as born again.

Now we are in the era where every so called Christian shouts "I'm born again " from the rooftop but still living a life as filthy as sin.

Like every other state in life, you can't really make a change unless you acknowledge your condition; in this case being a "sinner". There are no sinners anymore.

You join a church, go for discipleship...don't be deceived, without a personal encounter nothing is changed.

Then you become a church worker...Hallelujah, you are now a saint.

DECEPTION!!!

what's the point of the post?
For people to make disparaging remarks about the church?
To get people to support her?
Abi for what exactly?

EducationRe: "They Use Hausa To Teach English Language In The North" - Kano Corper Claims by Rosebloom: 12:40pm On Apr 27, 2018
ovadozes:
There is nothing really wrong in using the mother tongue to teach English in as much as it is properly translated. While growing up in the east one of the ways our teachers used to teach us English language was to write Igbo words and then translate them in English and vice versa, it makes it easier for the pupil to understand. So if they can write down words in Hausa and translate properly, I don't see anything wrong with that.
I was just about saying something similar, the practice of teaching in the local lingua is not unusual neither is it unique to the North.

That said, it still doesn't mean a teacher should base solely on the native language for teaching, speak English to them...it's western education. But if you can, mix it up.
