PoliticsRe: The Difference Between Igbo Millionaires And Northern Millionaires by rosinkkit(op): 10:09pm On Jul 18, 2021
A typical northern millionaire believes his brothers should ALSO be millionaires.

A typical Igbo millionaire believes his brothers should NOT be millionaires because that challenges his status as ''onye isi'' (the top dog) whom everyone has to approach for help.

So when he ''helps'' his brothers, he basically gives them just enough to make a decent living, but definitely not enough to place them on HIS level of wealth.

There is always a clear boundary and ceiling, as to how rich he can help you get. It must never be anywhere close to his level.

That is the typical Igbo millionaire's mentality, and it's pretty sad.
PoliticsThe Difference Between Igbo Millionaires And Northern Millionaires by rosinkkit(op):
90% of igbo millionaires and billionaires are EXTREMELY selfish. THEIR OWN FAMILIES SUFFER, apart from the wife and kids.

They rarely do anything for their own communities apart from maybe distribute rice and provisions to the villagers at christmas.

You will see an Igbo man worth several millions of dollars. Some of his brothers/cousins etc will still be hustling on the streets, some even hawking.

You never see that with northerners. Once one of them is rich, and you see the brothers, you won't even know the one that is the big shot, because they're all solid.

When they travel to Dubai, you'll see up to 20 of them at the airport, from Alhaji to his brothers, sisters, mum, dad, cousins, drivers, hairdressers, house helps etc.

An Igbo man, if he travels with anyone, na him wife and maybe his kids. Finish.

More often than not, he just sneaks out alone.

I think the refusal of wealthy Igbos to share their wealth among their relatives and close kinsmen is a reason for the continued marginalisation of Igbos in Nigeria. Political influence requires that you have a large base of well-to-do elite. When you restrict that elite to a tiny club of monied men, your base is weakened, and easy to manipulate. It is very easy for others to take advantage of your group.

Do you know that you could be prosecuted if you engage in building of government road in Nigeria.
I have heard cases of such, the person was even charged to court
That is only if you do it without consulting the authorities or seeking a permit.

If you have the money and go to your LGA and say you want to tar this or that road, THEY WILL NEVER STOP YOU. They will even help out one way or the other.

The OP is correct.

What he is saying applies to 90% of igbo millionaires and billionaires. They are EXTREMELY selfish. THEIR OWN FAMILIES SUFFER, apart from the wife and kids. So expecting them to do much for their communities is like trying to draw water from a stone.

PoliticsRe: Racism Is Not About Colour, But Is About Wealth by rosinkkit:
Racism was invented in the mid 1700s as a response by the white enslaving class to public protests over the savage treatment meted out on the African captives.

See, prior to the trans-Atlantic slave trade, Africans were not regarded as inferior beings by white people.

In fact Africans were revered as somewhat SUPERIOR people. They had built the pyramids of Egypt after all, and had bequeathed the ancient Greeks their civilization.

The ancient Greek term for Africans was ''the blameless Ethiopians'' on account of their piety, and the commonly held view in the ancient world that 'Ethiopia' (ie Africa south of Egypt) was the 'Land of the Gods'. As written by Diodirus of Sicily (300 BC) , ''the sacrifices of the Ethiopians are the most pleasing to the divinity''.

The ORIGINAL depictions of Jesus, Mary, and the Jews, in European churches, were of black people prior to the slave trade.

Google ''black Madonna'' in images to see them.

The MOORS, who were black West Africans, had been respected throughout Europe for bringing literacy, learning, architecture, and culture to Europe over 600 years up till the slave trade era.

So in view of this HIGH REGARD in which Africans were held in Europe, it came as a rude shock to the European public that Africans were being subjected to this dehumanizing treatment. There was public revolt against it. The lucrative trade became threatened.

The response of the slave merchants and their financial backers was to develop theories of black racial inferiority, which claimed that the Africans were sub humans who needed whites to civilize them and therefore the slave trade was a christian mission of salvation etc etc etc.

This new propaganda was disseminated in various forms through books and media articles that claimed fanciful theories of colour based racial hierarchy previously unknown on the Earth.

As these theories spread, public opposition to the slave trade subsided, and the money rolled into Europe. The 'whitewashing' of history also began in earnest. African contributions to world civilization were ignored. The old images of black Jesus and Mary were replaced with blonde white images.

That was the rise of racism.

That lily-white image of a blonde Jesus you have stuck on your wall is a false image based on lies, greed, deceit, and racism.
