South Africans are harsh oh, nawa, can never be affiliated with them in anyway but I must commend them for giving it to us hard, asides the killings, that one is a stretch.

The truth is “most” Nigerians are animals; yesterday I was driving in Abuja and someone threw out a fairly sized bag of trash from their car onto the road, I was perplexed. Same yesterday and as always, I obeyed a traffic stop sign and the drivers behind me were not having it, of course they were ignored.

Let’s keep playing and I know some people will still hop on a flight to South Africa tonight.

We will remain global pariahs until we are all ready to sit and fix up.

YOU AND WHO IS "GLOBAL PARIAH"?

BETTER SPEAK FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR SOUTH AFRICAN FRIENDS.

NIGERIA IS ABSOLUTELY NO "PARIAH" EXCEPT IN YOUR DELUSIONAL THOUGHTS.

SOUTH AFRICA IS THE ONLY PARIAH NATION IN AFRICA.

Which world class infrastructure?

Oga go to China and see infrastructure, not that 19th/20th century outdated US nonsense.

Even Lagos metro trains are more modern and cleaner than New York City metro.

Rwanda is now doing delivery by drones, something Americans are not doing..

In Nigeria and Kenya, digital banking is more advanced than in America.

Even Africa is now leapfrogging America.

That's only gonna increase because African countries will be quicker to adapt to new technology solutions provided by AI and Quantum systems, since they have less conventional, old world infrastructure to dismantle prior to adopting new systems.

For example, when Flying Cars emerge in the next few years, African nations with poor road infrastructure will quickly adopt them, and establish manufacturing plants for them, while countries like the USA with millions of miles of roads, will be slower to abandon those old 'working' systems...

By 30 to 40 years' time Africa would be more advanced than America.

Radicalwarrior:
A fresh tension is brewing after reports this week of an alleged attack on the convoy of NDC Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, during a visit to Benue State.

Some Igbo community leaders and commentators have reacted strongly, demanding clarification and an apology from the Benue State Government and stakeholders in the state.

Social media reports this week claimed Obi's convoy was blocked and harassed by some youths in Benue. As of today, September 10, 2026.

The Benue State Government has also not issued an official statement on the incident at the time of filing this report.

In a press statement circulating from Enugu and Abia, some elders identifying as Igbo stakeholders said they were disturbed by the report and have asked Benue authorities to investigate.

The group said it is inviting the Governor of Benue State to Abia State on September 13, 2026, to ask him to explain what happened and to ensure such an incident does not repeat itself.

Peter Obi is our son, but he is also a presidential candidate who should be able to move freely in any part of Nigeria. We demand a full investigation and a public apology since this attack is confirmed," the statement read. "Nigeria's constitution allows every Nigerian to live and move anywhere."

The statement also contained warnings about retaliation against Benue indigenes living in the South East if no action is taken. Legal experts and civil society groups have strongly condemned such retaliation talk.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has in the past consistently called for peace between Igbo and Benue/Tiv communities, recalling their long history of trade and coexistence.

1. Police Investigation: Benue Police Command should issue a factual report on what happened to Obi's convoy.
2. Dialogue, Not Ultimatum: The proposed September 13 meeting in Abia should be used for peace-building, not threats.
3. Protection For All: Both South East governors and the Benue State Governor must assure all Nigerians in their states of safety.

An alleged attack on any political figure is serious and must be investigated. But turning it into an ethnic confrontation between Igbos and Benue people will only create more problems. Nigerians in all regions are urging calm and asking security agencies to do their work.
Because people are tired of Peter Obi exploiting their misfortune for political gain.
Politics › Re: Tinubu’s FAAC Boom Is A Scam — Atiku by rossipki: 10:53am On Sep 10
Kushites:
OK. SINCE TINUBU IS BUSY, LET ME USE THE AI FOR HIM AND RESPOND TO ATIKU

......................

Atiku’s "Dollar Illusion" is the Desperate Rhetoric of a Failed Alternative

It is profoundly ironic that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who has spent decades auditioning to lead Nigeria on a platform of privatization and deregulation, has suddenly developed selective amnesia. His latest tirade against the Federal Government’s fiscal triumphs is nothing more than a masterclass in political hypocrisy and desperate economic distortion.

Atiku’s critique relies on a lazy, dishonest gimmick: evaluating Nigeria’s sovereign domestic economy entirely through the lens of the US Dollar. By doing so, he insults the intelligence of Nigerians and deliberately obfuscates the massive structural rot his own political era helped create.

The Political Counter-Attack 1. The Hypocrisy of a Ghost Reformer

* The Rebuttal: For years, Atiku campaigned on the promise that he would eliminate the corrupt fuel subsidy regime and unify the exchange rate market "even if they killed him."

Yet, now that President Tinubu has shown the political courage to actually make these hard choices, Atiku has weaponized the inevitable transitional pains for cheap political points.

* The Reality: Atiku does not weep for the Nigerian worker; he weeps for the lost campaign talking points. He cannot praise deregulation in his manifesto and then condemn the fiscal reality of that deregulation when implemented by a bolder leader.

2. The Deceptive "Dollar-Standard" Fallacy

* The Rebuttal: Atiku’s weaponization of dollar conversions is an economic scam. Nigeria’s economy operates on the Naira, not the
Dollar. Civil servants buy food, pay school fees, and rent houses in Naira.

* The Reality: By benchmark-pricing Nigeria’s minimum wage and state allocations entirely in USD, Atiku betrays his elite worldview—
one that views Nigeria only through the lens of foreign capital and overseas spending.

The ₦21 trillion FAAC distribution represents real, tangible local liquidity that is building roads, funding schools, and paying teachers across 36 states—things that cannot be wished away by Atiku’s arbitrary currency conversions.

3. Unmasking the "Subsidy Illusion" of 2019

* The Rebuttal: Atiku nostalgic reference to 2019’s FAAC figures is an admission of guilt. The "cheap dollars" and lower Naira numbers of 2019 were an artificial, unsustainable hallucination funded by trillions of Naira in bleeding subsidies that nearly bankrupted the country.

* The Reality: The previous status quo was a ticking financial bomb. The Tinubu administration chose to diffuse that bomb, redirecting funds from the pockets of billionaire fuel smugglers and arbitrage traders directly to state and local governments.

Calling the recovery of these stolen trillions a "monetary illusion" proves Atiku would prefer to feed the syndicates than fund the states.

4. Intellectual Dishonesty on State Debts

* The Rebuttal: Atiku points to state debts to claim the revenue boom is fake. This is an embarrassing display of fiscal illiteracy from someone who chaired the National Economic Council.

* The Reality: Debt is a function of capital development, not a sign of failure. The historic surge in FAAC allocations has given states the unprecedented capacity to actually service their debts while simultaneously investing in massive infrastructure projects. Atiku wants Nigerians to look at a state's liabilities while ignoring the new highways, agricultural hubs, and security networks those liabilities are building.

5. Empty Rhetoric vs. Structural Actions

* The Rebuttal: Atiku asks, "Where is the money going?" while ignoring the massive fiscal reforms staring him in the face.

* The Reality: The money is going toward the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) transport revolution that is slitting transport costs in half. It is going into the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to ensure poor children go to university. It is going into the direct pockets of workers through a more than 130% increase in the minimum wage. It is going into plugging the systemic leakages that Atiku’s political associates historically exploited.

Atiku Abubakar’s "brutal arithmetic" is nothing but brutal political opportunism. Having been repeatedly rejected at the polls by the Nigerian people, he is reduced to acting as a professional doomsayer.

He attempts to wave away record-breaking revenue generation and institutional tax reforms because he cannot stomach the fact that this administration is successfully rewriting Nigeria’s economic foundations—foundations that his generation of politicians left decayed.

Bigger numbers do mean bigger value when they represent real independence from predatory subsidies, and no amount of dollar-denominated gaslighting from Atiku's Dubai palace can change that reality.
Devastating. smiley

A series of perfectly delivered upper cuts that remind one of the exploits of the legendary Muhammed Ali. Atiku go vomit that gworo when e read this one.

ABUJA: Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has accused the Federal Government of reckless borrowing despite a windfall in oil revenue, saying the administration of President Bola Tinubu has continued to pile up domestic debts at a time crude oil prices have soared well above the benchmark used for the 2026 budget.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, the former vice president said it was troubling that the government would borrow ₦24.7 trillion domestically between January and August 2026 even as it enjoys higher earnings from crude sales.

He described the scale of the borrowing as unprecedented, noting that it represented a 90.5 per cent increase over what was borrowed in the same period of 2025.

“At the beginning of this fiscal year, the Federal Government budgeted on an oil benchmark of $64.85 per barrel. Today, crude oil prices have risen substantially above that benchmark.

“Yet, instead of this windfall translating into lower borrowing, stronger businesses and relief for Nigerians, the Federal Government went into the domestic market and borrowed a staggering ₦24.7 trillion between January and August 2026 — 90.5 per cent more than the ₦12.98 trillion borrowed in the corresponding period of 2025.

“This is not fiscal management. This is a government borrowing like drunken sailors in the middle of a revenue windfall”, he said.

The former vice president argued that the various reform measures introduced by the Tinubu administration, including the removal of the petrol subsidy and the floating of the naira, ought to have eased pressure on government finances rather than deepened dependence on borrowing.

“So the question Nigerians must ask again is very simple: where is the money going?

“What makes this recklessness even more damaging is that government is now competing directly with Nigerian businesses for money. Credit to government grew by 43 per cent, while credit to the private sector grew by only 9.6 per cent. Government credit is expanding about 4.5 times faster than credit to businesses.

“This government is not merely borrowing money; it is borrowing away the future of Nigerian businesses.

“Nigeria cannot achieve prosperity by allowing government to swallow the credit that should finance production. An economy grows when businesses borrow to build factories, farmers borrow to expand production and entrepreneurs access affordable capital to create jobs — not when government becomes the biggest and most voracious customer in the banking hall.

“My administration will impose fiscal discipline, cut waste, prioritise productive expenditure and progressively reduce government’s suffocating dependence on the domestic credit market.

“Government must make room for the private sector to breathe, invest, produce and employ”, he stated.

Atiku is wrong, and displays great economic illiteracy for a supposed presidential candidate.

Does he even know what Nigeria's annual budget is?

It's about $40 billion for its 250 million population.

Contrast that with South Africa's annual budget of $140 billion for its 60 million people.

Or the USA's $8 TRILLION for its 320 million people.

Or the UK's $2 TRILLION for its 65 million people.

How in the hell will Nigeria develop without borrowing, Mr Atiku?

You don't know it costs money to develop a country?
