The shame is not on our politicians but on Nigeria as a country.

Nigeria is suffering because the lifestyle of greed and covetousness has been normalised as a culture; hence, nature and God's favour have departed from the country.

National repentance and mental reprogramming are the solutions.
SHUT UP.

It is people like you who go on social media to trash Nigeria that allow these riff-raff in Soweto and other filthy ghetto "townships" in South Africa to open their mouths with AUDACITY to insult Nigeria.

So SHUT UP.

Politics › Atiku Is Just Using AI To Deceive You People by rossipki(op):
Atiku's Mysterious, Newfound Fluency

Has anyone noticed the incredibly lucid, highly articulate arguments being released by Atiku of late?

Highly cogent arguments against the government in impeccable grammar, irresistible logic, and exquisite delivery.

It's almost as if he has taken on the persona of a Barack Obama in his highly persuasive, elegantly phrased, grammatically flawless public statements responding to the Tinubu administration.

A RARE ABILITY HE SEEMINGLY HAS GAINED OVERNIGHT AFTER DECADES OF DULL, VAPID, EMPTY RHETORIC.

What accounts for this startling transformation?

Well, those of us who use AI on a daily basis know exactly what he's doing.

You can literally go on ChatGPT AI and tell it that you are Atiku Abubakar contesting against Tinubu at the election.

And tell it to give you a fierce response to a statement or claim Tinubu made. Or policy he introduced etc.

IN LESS THAN 3 SECONDS you have the full text. You copy and paste it somewhere and that becomes your "official statement".

That's all Atiku, or his aide, is doing.

There's no govt policy on Earth that AI will not have highly persuasive, perfectly delivered counter-arguments against.

AI can rubbish any govt policy in 2 seconds.

So that's what Atiku and his people are doing.

If you didn't know, Now you know. 😏

Meanwhile, someone should advise Obi to consider using AI as well to curtail that his mouth that shoots before his brain thinks.

Politics › Re: 2027: Igbo Elders Appeal To Tinubu And Atiku To Step Down For Peter Obi by rossipki: 11:18am On Sep 02
1nice:
"2027 IS OUR TURN" — IGBO ELDERS APPEAL TO TINUBU AND ATIKU TO STEP DOWN FOR PETER OBI, WARN OF DANGER IF SOUTH EAST IS DENIED PRESIDENCY
"First Civil War Was In The East. We Pray Igbos Will Not Invade South West Region And Begin Second Civil War In Yoruba Land Come 2027"

A coalition of Igbo elders and socio-political leaders has issued a strong appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former VP Atiku Abubakar to "honor justice" and step down for Peter Obi in 2027, insisting that the South East deserves its turn to produce Nigeria’s next president.

The elders, said the continued exclusion of Ndigbo from the presidency since 1999 is fueling deep frustration and national instability.

In a communique released Sunday in Enugu, the elders argued that rotation between the 6 geo-political zones is the only path to national unity.

"Mr. President, Alhaji Atiku, for the sake of peace, equity and the future of this country, please step aside for Peter Obi. 2027 is the turn of the South East," the statement read.

"Ndigbo have waited, contributed, and bled for this country. Denying us again in 2027 will be a great injustice."

They praised Obi as "a detribalized Nigerian with capacity, character and competence" and said he represents the best chance for healing.

The elders went further, warning that if the South East is denied the presidency again, it could trigger serious national crisis.

"The first civil war was fought in the South East region. We do not pray for another one. But if people feel permanently excluded from power, anger grows," a senior elder said.

"We are praying that the next disagreement will not be pushed to the South West region or anywhere else. Nigeria cannot afford another war."

They stressed they are *not calling for war*, but warning leaders not to "push patriotic citizens to the wall."

As of press time, the Presidency, APC and PDP had not issued official responses.

Political analysts say the call adds to growing 2027 permutations around zoning, with Tinubu expected to seek re-election and Atiku also widely rumored to be considering another run.

Peter Obi’s NDC Party camp has not officially commented on the elders’ appeal.

The elders said they will begin nationwide consultations with other zones, traditional rulers, and youth groups to "sell the South East presidency project peacefully" ahead of 2027.

"We want Nigeria to remain one. But one Nigeria must be a fair Nigeria," the communique concluded.

Nigeria’s presidency has rotated between North and South since 1999, but no president of Igbo extraction has emerged from the South East zone. The 2027 general election is scheduled by INEC for January 2027.
So, after dragging the entire country online for the past few years.

After demarketing and rubbishing the country's image on social media day in day out, you people still have the AUDACITY to demand the Presidency.

Oh well. Keep dreaming sha... undecided

STRONG GDP GROWTH MEANS WE'RE ON TRACK FOR $1 TRILLION ECONOMY BY 2030 - FG

The Federal Government has said Nigeria’s stronger economic growth is putting the country on course to achieve its target of a $1tn economy by 2030.

The Federal Ministry of Finance stated this on Tuesday while reacting to the latest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures, which showed that Nigeria’s economy grew by 4.43 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026.

The Q2 growth rate was higher than the 4.23 per cent recorded in the corresponding period of 2025 and the 3.89 per cent recorded in the first quarter of 2026.

The ministry said the performance lifted real GDP growth for the first half of 2026 to 4.16 per cent, compared with 3.68 per cent in the corresponding period of 2025.

It described the figures as evidence of sustained strengthening across the economy, noting that growth was becoming increasingly broad-based.

According to the ministry, 27 economic subsectors recorded real growth of above three per cent in Q2 2026, compared with 23 subsectors in the same quarter of 2025.

It said the productive sectors recorded significant improvements, with manufacturing growing by 3.24 per cent, more than double the 1.60 per cent recorded in Q2 2025.

Agriculture also expanded by 4.39 per cent, compared with 2.82 per cent a year earlier, while the services sector grew by 4.60 per cent, up from 3.94 per cent.

The ministry further attributed the expansion of the economy in dollar terms to the relative stability and appreciation of the naira.

It said the naira appreciated by more than 12 per cent between the first halves of 2025 and 2026, resulting in an approximately 17 per cent expansion of the economy in US dollar terms over the period.

The ministry said sustained growth, alongside government social programmes, would help strengthen dollar incomes, improve purchasing power and lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty.

“Given this momentum, Nigeria is well positioned to consolidate its standing among Africa’s largest economies and to advance toward the Government’s target of a $1tn economy by 2030,” it said.

The ministry also cited an International Monetary Fund projection which ranked Nigeria among the top 10 contributors to global real GDP growth in 2026.

It said the IMF projected Nigeria to account for roughly 1.5 per cent of global growth this year, placing the country ahead of several advanced and emerging economies.

The ministry further projected that continued macroeconomic stability, sustained growth across productive sectors and improving investor confidence could accelerate Nigeria’s emergence as Africa’s largest economy by 2028.

It, however, stressed the need to sustain the ongoing economic reforms and ensure policy consistency as the benefits of the reforms increasingly reach households and businesses.

The ministry said the government remained focused on accelerating inclusive growth and translating the improvement in key macroeconomic indicators into shared prosperity for Nigerians.
