Then maybe nigeria will buy from them

Giant of Africa

It is not COUNTRIES that develop vaccines.

It is COMPANIES.

PRIVATE FIRMS.

What stops YOU from establishing a FIRM that researches vaccines?

Oh I forgot. You're a DUNCE allergic to innovation, creativity and research.

Only expert at pointing a finger at 'NIGERIA' while 4 fingers point back at your thick skull.

Why Nigeria Cannot Produce COVID-19 Vaccines? LOL, because it can't!!!!

Nigeria has the resources to produce a lot of stuff but it has an endemically corrupt "leaders"!

Producing vaccines has ZERO to do with ''leaders'', and EVERYTHING to do with YOU, the private sector. Unfortunately, you're a DUNCE, so you have nothing to contribute but bile, so kindly shush your trap, and let those who are trained in the field discuss developing vaccines if they so wish.

Oga, have you asked yourself if Buhari and his family are eating the rice they ask you and your family to be eating?

Or are you too immersed in mental, tribal and religion slavery that you can't reason that out?

Maybe you should ask yourself if buhari receives treatment from the same kind of hospital you and your family are doomed to receive treatment from.

Or that doesn't matter to you?

If not, then you are a lost mental case.

Shut up, fool.

Buhari does not need to eat the same food you eat, to be an effective leader. He is not on your level. He's the President, so shut up.

If they make YOU president tomorrow, will you be following us to drink garri? Idiott.

Go and ask Trump if he eats the same type of food in the White House as the average American in Mississippi, or gets treatment from the same hospital as a homeless man in the ghettoes of Detroit, Michigan. Idiatt.

Go to school and get an education. Your spelling and diction are atrocious. You are a disgrace, and are in no position to criticise anyone or any government for anything when you yourself are so deficient and incompetent.

And the word is 'idiocy', not ''idiocity''.

No wonder you failed those interviews, and now it is Nigeria's fault you're useless.

NIGERIANS manufactured vaccines in the 1960s AFTER independence up till 1991, a full 31 years after ''oyinbo'' had departed.

Just to read a simple write-up is rocket science for you. Next thing is to type low self esteem gibberish.

"Failed process
A 2017 report published by PREMIUM TIMES revealed how the Yaba Vaccine Production Laboratory was not functional.

The vaccine production centre was active for about six decades, between 1940 and 1991, producing large quantities of vaccines against smallpox, rabies, yellow fever for not only Nigeria, but neighbouring countries like Cameroon, Central Africa and a few other countries in Africa.

It was closed in 1991 by the federal government who said it wanted to reactivate and upgrade the facility. But that upgrade has not been done"

Obviously reading and compreheding is not a verture you have. As they say common sense is not common.

Since according to you it is not the job of government to research and produce vassine, why was the Yaba vaccine production laboratory built? Why was it closed in 1991 by fgn, who further wanted to upgrade and reactivate the agency, but was never done? Why? Afterall according to you, it is not the job of government to research and produce vaccines.

Sinopharm, a Chinese state-owned company, is developing two Covid-19 vaccines, which, like Sinovac are also inactivated vaccines that work in a similar way.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/amp/world-asia-china-55212787

Sputnik V, is a COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology. A Russian government owned agency.

Cuba Sovereign 02 covid 19 vaccine made by state owned Finlay Vaccine Institute (IFV)
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rferl.org/amp/cuban-researchers-to-test-covid-19-vaccine-in-iran/31040770.html
ETC.

The fact that private pharmaceutical in capitalist western countries make vaccines does not mean the generality of other countries such as Nigeria do not have government owned vaccine research
and production facilities. Who's primary responsibility is healthcare of citizens? Government or companies?

Of course what comes naturally to silly uncouth people like you is to pour insults out of naked ignorance. Celebrating your stupidity in public like you won an award.

Olodo rabata.

Look at him pulling examples from China, Cuba, and Russia.

Communist countries!

Was that because you couldn't find any CAPITALIST nations like Nigeria where the government is manufacturing vaccines?

Of course it is!

In capitalist nations, the PRIVATE SECTOR manufactures drugs and vaccines.

Just because the Nigerian govt ventured into it in early years DOES NOT MEAN IT IS THEIR JOB, any more than my bending down to tie your shoe laces to stop you tripping over them when you were a toddler, means it is my job to do the same for you in your adulthood.

So grow up, set up a firm that is useful to society, and CONTRIBUTE, instead of waiting for the government to tie your laces.

Everyday, government this, government that.

Until you people get your heads out of the government's ass, and become innovative, creative, and do things for yourselves, you will get nowhere as a people.

The man that set up Pfizer did not get A SINGLE CENT of US government money. He just started a small firm a century and half ago, and included a bit of research and development in his activities. He had no idea that the firm would grow into the giant it is today. He just believed in himself and took a chance, in 1849, when America was nothing.

He grew it, and then his children took over, then THEIR children took over, and they've become so big today that whole countries are demanding their products.

Here in Nigeria, the people are waiting on GOVERNMENT to help them brush their teeth in the morning.

The countries that are producing vaccines have governments that have spent a lot of money to support the research, development, production and distribution of vaccines by the pharma industry. It is the government's job to ensure that research is carried out by funding it. Citizens pay their taxes for the government to manage tax payer's money for the collective good, in this case to protect life.

How can government fund what does not exist?

Have YOU opened a vaccine research firm and sought out govt funding, and then been refused?

If so, then YOU can complain.

If you have not done that, then there is nothing to blame the government about.

Pfizer did not receive any government funding. They are just a private firm set up a century and half ago by some pharmacist guy and his son, which grew to the giant they are today.

THEY WERE NOT FUNDED BY THE US GOVT.

You people like ridiculing your country at every opportunity for no reason. Vaccines cost billions of dollars to make. Pray tell, how can Nigeria afford one? Which organization in Sweden, Australia, Norway or several other europan countries developed a vaccine?

A lot of Nigerians are handling road constructions and they are doing fine. You need to walk around more.

When the professors were isolating strains of Corona and carrying out other COVID-19 related research, you didn't praise them. For your information, the first COVID-19 sequencing in Africa was done by Nigerian scientists.

How do you expect electronic/electrical engineers to construct bulbs manually? Do we have tungsten gas and filaments in Nigeria? Are you ready to spend millions to import the raw materials and setup a plant for them?

Stop all these needless criticism.

And education in Nigeria is not a waste. Nigerian graduates perform excellently among their peers in foreign countries.

Quit trying to educate these wastrels. They get a psychological high by badmouthing Nigeria. It's like a daily fix of drugs for them. There doesn't have to be any real reason for them to start. Anything at all they can latch onto no matter how ludicrous is enough for them to start their orgy of criticism.

They are sick, demented people. They lack the creativity and originality of thought to alter their failed lives, so 'Nigeria' is their fall guy.

Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, Angola, Swaziland even poor Lesotho are accustomed to such quality and prices

Nigeria can't complain when a poor country like Lesotho afford them

North Africa is well aligned

Maybe Nigeria Africa need to adapt to world standards of pricing and quality, and stop compromising quality

Lesotho has only one rail line built in 1905. Zim, Swaziland, Malawi etc are not known for rail services. These countries you're listing are tiny populations with precious little demand for mass rail. They mostly offer a token service.

And it wouldn't surprise me if SA leverages her political and economic influence to get those poor neighbours to buy her trains.
