Nigerians and ignorance is at an insane level
..please if u have no clue of how something works..do the internet a favour and keep quiet... Abuja Kaduna railine is currently congested...if u go to idu ..u can wait for hours and not get ticket...just weeks ago the fair almost triples yet people are still paying and the rail running at maximum capacity...the same thing will happen to Lagos Ibadan rail line... Inshort it best to have the entire length Completed (Lagos to Kano to Maradi) to generate massive income from both freight and passenger travel...

Ajaokuta Kano gas pipeline is not a failed project..the future of Nigeria is gas..as oil is gradually fading..we have more gas reserves than oil... because of the environmental implication of oil and it product... everything is being switched to gas cuz it way cleaner and very cheap..that one of the reason why FG wants to convert many vehicles to run on gas...
The pipeline is part of an integrated African pipeline system that stretches down to north Africa passing the sea down to Europe..this will allow Nigeria export gas to Europe in the future..the way it does with oil today..
You get time.

95% of what you typed there will fly straight over their heads. Too positive and complex for their simple, disgruntled minds.

I will agree with you if the schools from primary to secondary are free, free notebooks, free textbooks, free transportation, free lunch for all children during school hours, free health services.

and every local government has its own community college for any children that wish to further without crazy cutoff marks then that is when you have a visionary leader.

Jakende did free education in Lagos back then, free notebook, free textbook, pens, mathsets, free good tap water, almost free uniform. some of the products are in many places in the world today during great, they are politicians, lawyers, doctors, engineers, bricklayers etc.

Development is not about just building malls by the government which eventually over 90% of the population can not even near the place.

This is the job of the private sector, and this will be achieved if there is a conducive condition for it.
So all schools must be ''free'' before you can agree the state is developing?

Was it only malls you saw in the pictures? (Malls are not ''built by the government'', by the way, but by the private sector, and it is FALSE that ''over 90% of people'' cannot afford to go there).

What about the roads, libraries, flyover bridges and recreational spaces? Do those not count as development?

Many of you are bred in negativity. If it wasn't ''free schools from primary to secondary'' it would be something else.

That's exactly what the USA does, which is why they are the heaviest indebted nation on earth.

In return, they got a developed country.

Development is not free. Someone's gotta pay for it.

5.3bn dollars should build all the rail lines we need in Nigeria
Bunch of robbers
No it won't. That is your gross ignorance talking. Go and learn the real value of 5.3 billion dollars, cos you seem to think it is a HUGE amount of money. It's not.

California - one US state - is building a railway project at the cost of 77 billion dollars.

It's very evident to the blind that Lagos to Calabar railway will be more viable and economical, i guess that's where the Chinese are delaying in funding the project. This government has politized the whole thing. The Abuja-Kaduna railway is looking unviable because of the banditry ongoing along that routes, just look at the money we wasted building that almost failed project
Now the AKK Gas project is another political project that is bound to fail. This northerners have completely wreck Nigeria beyond repair
How is the Abuja-Kaduna railway ''an almost failed project''?

How is it ''looking unviable''?

How is it ''money wasted''?

Your problem is lack of commons sense allied to ethnic hatred.

5.3 billions on rail alone when poverty is at highest level. It shall never be better for these people. How can this country move forward with these wasteful manner for God sake. Is it not better to divert this particular money to something that will surely lift Nigeria out of poverty. Our refinery is moribund, money market is catastrophic, yet they are borrowing billions of dollars to build liability that the half of the money will be looted.
You're just a loud dunce.

Go and learn the value of RAILWAYS in the development of a country, and how they drastically reduce the cost of doing business, leading to economic and industrial development.

The USA became the world's biggest economy on the strength of its massive investment in rail.

Big mouth critic with zero thinking ability.

Fool talking about ''half the money will be looted''. Which money? No money changes hands. The loan is about China funding the construction of the railway. It is a contract to build, not to hand anybody money.

Olodo people. Only big mouth to criticise, yet you know nothing.

In most other African countries like Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, etc, this level of development can only be seen in the national capital.

Not so in our federal republic.

That is why we call Nigeria the Giant of Africa.
Stop comparing one of the largest oil producing country in the world to countries with way less natural resources. Even those countries you mentioned are doing way better than Nigeria
How are they ''doing way better than Nigeria''?

What does ''doing way better'' even mean?

Go to Ghana. They have only ONE proper airport in the whole country. In Accra. The rest are just goat sheds including Kumasi airport.

Even this small Uyo we are looking at here is more developed than Kumasi, Ghana's 2nd city.

Nigeria is building an advanced railway system, with several new lines already in use and more under construction. Where is Ghana in that? Does Rwanda even have rail?

GET RID OF YOUR COMPLEX THAT TELLS YOU EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IS ''DOING WAY BETTER THAN NIGERIA''. THIS IS WHAT LEADS YOUR TYPE TO END UP IN SLAVERY IN LIBYA AND LEBANON, EATING DOG FOOD.

Nigeria produces oil, but it's nowhere near enough for our 206 million population. Our annual budget is just 35 billion dollars which is very low, meaning we need to diversify the economy and increase corporate taxation.

Foreign Affairs"Disable His Nuclear Codes!" - Americans Panic Over Trump Nuclear Access by rossoki(op):
With 12 days left for him in the White House, Trump has thrown the nation into panic over his continued access to the nuclear codes.

There are fears that the deranged American leader may seek to take the country (and the world) down with him, as his tenure crashes in chaos and disgrace.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has sought assurances from military chiefs that they will refuse any order by Trump to launch nuclear bombs or start a military conflict with Iran or any other country.

Trump has been told to resign immediately or face impeachment on Monday morning, which would make him the first president in US history to be impeached twice.

He has been charged with 'high crimes and misdemeanors' for ''inciting an insurrection'' that led to the deadly invasion of the US national assembly by his rampaging mobs, an incident that left 5 people dead and over 60 people injured.

That is a meaningless differentiation.

Why doesn't Ghana have people or corporate bodies that can build universities?

How is that Nigeria's fault?

It is Ghana's fault that their economy is not buoyant enough to produce such people/groups.

Harvard and Cambridge are private universities.

No one says ''Oh, they are private, so don't count them in'', when counting top universities.

Politics''I Felt Like I Was In Afghanistan'' - US Congressman Caught In Capitol Riot by rossoki(op):
Colorado congressman Jason Crow, a former US envoy to Afghanistan, was caught up in the violent and deadly pro-Trump mob riot that broke into the US National Assembly Capitol building in Washington DC, with the mob armed with guns and dangerous weapons.

The congressman was forced to hide under the chamber seats and tables as the angry mob rampaged through the National Assembly building, smashing windows, guns blazing, and charging at policemen, many of whom were seen fleeing from the mob.

''I felt exactly the way I felt when I was in Afghanistan. No difference at all'', said the shaken congressman.

Our school children don't walk into the classrooms to slaughter their classmates in cold blood.

Our own people don't walk into kindergarten schools and slaughter 3-4-5 year old kids in cold blood while the rest of the country moved on as if nothing happened.

Our own people don't go into Cinema to guns down people in movie theaters.

Our own people here in Nigeria don't pack trucks full of explosives to clown up innocent fellow Nigerians.

Your problem is kolomental, they've bombarded you with negative info about yourselves and your fellow Africans that you are the beast, the savages and hopeless killers when in fact they are all the things they call you, they slaughter themselves at will, they are so used to it that they are completely numb.

AUN is a private university which the average Nigerian cannot attend while KNUST is a public varsity which the average Ghanaian can go to. To cap it, KNUST is highly ranked than AUN.

So, what is your point?
Where is your source for the claim that ''KNUST is higher ranked than AUN''

You can't just make a claim with no source. Post your link, or stop lying.

And NO. The average Ghanaian cannot attend KNUST. They need high scores to get in there, so enrolment will be skewed in favour of those who attended private secondary schools or elite govt secondary schools with higher grades.

Universities' rankings na. Most Ghanaian public universities are highly ranked than their Nigerian counterpart and they don't go on strikes!
FALSE.

Ghana universities are ranked very low in Africa:

Nigeria has 3 universities in Africa's top 20.

Ghana has ZERO.

Plus Nigeria has FOUR universities that are higher ranked than the University of Ghana, their top uni.
