Relax. you mothers worry too much. All children don't sprout teeth the same time. However the first upper incisors appear between 6-8months. Your baby is probably a little delayed but it will eventually appear. Dietary or environmental factors might be responsible. How often do you breastfeed? Do you give vitamine C? Early morning sun exposure also helps with calcium which is necessary for strong bones and teeth. Children react and respond differently, so don't use other kids as yardstick to get worried.

Coughing is very common in children. The good news is that it is often viral (particularly when it is associated with catarrh) and so, self limiting. in other words, it will resolve even when untreated. Most cough syrups are only to reassure the mother that she is doing something to take care of the cough, otherwise, they don't really do much. Necessary precautions could be taken to avoid reoccurrence - such as not exposing the baby to cold and dust. Tixylix is a good, non drousy syrup. You could try using it. Antibiotics (such as Augmenting) are only reserved for severe coughs associated with bacteria infection. Above all, remember prayers. cheers!

pls my son is a year old, he is yet to bring out teeth and he started having caugh and catarrh for the past one week now. I started with septrin, i couldn't give him caugh syrup cus he react to any drousy drugs, when septrin is not working we went to pharmacy where he was given azithromycin with tuxil D but any time we give him drugs the caugh becomes worse. He cant sleep well, the caugh will wake him up. Pls is there anybody that has idea of what i can do to help. My mother said i sould be givind him palm oil that its the teeth he wants to bring out that cause the caugh, that no drugs can help it.

I pray u will not give birth to a preterm baby cus with preterm u go no say jundice get level, preterm babies are prone to jundice at a very high level and those of us that had premature babies may God protect them. At the same time i will advise u read more about jundice on the internet so that if we see any baby with jundice we wont advice they keep the babay at home for any traditional treatment cus the more it stays in their body, the more damage it does to the brain. Nobody pray for cerebral pulsy

thats another case entirely.the doctors on duty were not competent enough to take delivery not to talk of cs and it was in the night between 11pm and 4am.infact they needed to be taking instructions frm their oga on phone cus he was not around before they know what they will do next.it was the oga that suggested its membrane that they should rupture it.cus i was very aware of everthing that was going on. This private hospital is one of the best o. We spent close to 200k just in two weeks that my baby was kept in the nursery. May God help us

i dont comment like this in any topic but when i saw this am close to tears cus the same thing happened when i gave birth to my son. I took care of the pregnancy at a teaching hospital, when the preg was around 7months i went for check up and complain that am having contraction, having know that am carring twins, the doctor said its nothing and i went my way. When the preg was somedays to 8months i startd having contraction again but this time very painful and the doctors were on strike nationwide then. So i was rushed to a private hospital where they no nothing about the preg,no record at all, no ultrasound to know if the position of the babies. I was rushed in to the labour room, the first twin came,but there was membrane in between the second twin, i labour for close to 3hrs after the first twin but they did not know wat was blocking the baby eventually the babay died. The first twin was in the nursery when i notice he was stretching some how, i went to tell doc and nurses, they said he is behaving as if he is still in the womb but i insist they check him that was when they decided to do EBT for him which they could not find the unblical cord cente or something like that, they later told me they could not do left him to die but God saved him miraculously. He is still alive till todat. He is ten months now

yes na. U will also notice that ur breast milk will increase and u will have the strenght to breat feed well. The most important thing is to swallow and take alot of fluid.

Hello mums... am a ftm n my LO is 7weeks, she was 2.7 kg at birth and 4kg at 6 weeks. My princess eats a lot n it feels like I don't produce Breast milk, I have been expressing for 2 days now and it takes a lot of time to even get half bottle of milk, pls is there any food I can eat to help me produce more milk. Cos am thinking of introducing infant milk.

This what i do when my breast milk almost stoped cus my baby weight was 1.2kg at birth and i had to express for him and not puting him to breast for almost two months but at a point in time my breast milk supply reduced so my mum will make amala and ewedu and she will ask me to eat it hot like, that i will be sweating by the time the amala will digest breast milk is coming on its own already. Another food i took was pounded yam, any time i eat pounded yam my breast milk will be much that my baby will not be able to meet up with the supply and i will express it away. The most important thing is that eat these foods very well and be full, dont eat like oyinbo ooo and expect milk to come

when u get to see paediatric surgeon he will determine when to operate him. I was cherged 18k without drugs at teaching hospital ilorin cus its gov hopital some private take up to 50k but i prefer teaching hopital cus the right doc will carryout the operation. I notice my baby's own at birth cus he he is preterm and he is prone to that

is he premature or a full term baby, cus if he is preterm they will give him time to develop well before the surgery but If he is full term they can do it sooner i will tell u to go and meet paediatric surgeon not just any doctor ooo. Its not anything too serious if handle by the right doctor, after the surgery he will be discharge that day and befor one month the place will be ok

so sorry dear abt dis. D delay in dev isnt related to d surg he had. Its most likely due to d severe jaundice he had. Did he require bld transfusion for d jaundice? Wot did d drs tell u then. Can u send me a pm? Or do u mind me posting sensitive info her

the dr couldn't get EBT done when the jundice whas high and i went back to see the paediatrician she asked me to come back in a month time
