Hello, friends. I wish to meet someone here that can help me with some tasks I usually do by myself. The ideal person should live in Ikorodu or a nearby area.

I'm about to take a decision concerning my job. I started this job from scratch, and now my monthly take home is 200k.

it's a financial firm, and the job is strictly Target/profit driven..

I received a mail from HQ exactly 10:15PM to go to another Dept (thats I will be starting form scratch again), that's looking for fresh Customers, exactly how I started the job back in 2017. I wasn't notified prior to this.

and from the HQ, I was told they are surprise that the regional manager didn't tell me before sending mail requesting for me to be moved to different dept, that I should I engage him and give a feedback.

the regional manager is a kind of person that see himself as God, your opinion do not matter when he's talking, and will be insulting your person, which is against the company ethic.

I have won several award (best in class sales man of the year) but the regional manager will never be satisfies with my input.

aside from my salary, I have other investment that gives me 300k on monthly basis. I'm thinking of quiting the job and focus on how to expand my investment and look for a reliable federal Job to buy.

. Bro, I am also in sales and I can feel your pain. it is not easy to market for a new company, now the company is recognized then you are moved to a new place to start another business for the company.

I will advise you not to quit yet, especially during this pandemic because the street is really tough now. Since your salary is not touched, it is an avenue to save and also improve your side hustle.

Honestly, I respect salesman like you that market for relatively unknown company and make the well established, I really respect you guys

I currently work in Abuja and my monthly salary is #75k a month, so I recently got another job offer in YOLA #170k a month including accomodation......
I actually asked family and friends for their thoughts and advice on me moving to Yola....and I got a lot of negative feedback. The reply are as follow;

A Male friend: Yola is not a peaceful place, there's insurgency there, and I'm in that stage of my life where I need to start thinking of settling down and this might not bode well for me as I might not want to settle down in Yola...( BTW, I'm a 24yr old female.)

Best friend: I'm naturally an introvert(I'm socially awkward) even in Abuja I don't mingle well, if I go to Yola, my Social life will be dead, I might be living a monk's life and also the issue of insecurity.

Parents: if the place is safe, I should go for it.

Northern Colleague: Yola is a very nice and cool place to live with lower cost of living, but I might find it difficult transitioning from Abuja life to Yola.

Me: I lived all my life in the south, and you know how we have this perception of northern states, the first northern place I've been to so far is Abuja, truth is I don't know how safe Yola town is, I have a colleague who moved to Yola for work, but then she's from there so I can't really compare with her...............I already made up my mind that I was going to reject the offer and keep my job in Abuja while looking out for better opportunities...... HOWEVER, after receiving my salary yesterday and buying food, paying bills and sending money home....I noted that 75k is small sha (I always know that sha) , and the fact that I've not been getting feed back from jobs I applied for....now I'm having a second though about the offer, should I go?, Should I not go?

BTW, the position will really boost my CV

I will advise you to move to Yola because you will save a lot of money compared to Abuja. Although, the insecurity in Yola is a big issue but Life itself is a big risk. If there is a vacancy there, abeg I need work ooo

Hello Nairalanders, I can drive automatic cars very well but the issue I'm having is the manual cars, which has been made compulsory where I work. I don't really have much money, I should have gone to driving school.

I will be glad if anybody in Lagos can teach me how to drive manual cars for a token of 2-3k. It won't take long since I can drive automatic cars already. You must have a car, it will only be for some hours.
