Jandminded: Has anyone been able to apply for 2024 winter session?
Most institutions i have checked are yet to start application. Most institutions have their admission dates open for April, at least. But you can check Facchoschule Sudwestfalen. They have opened since March 1st but it uses Uniassist |

Good morning house, I’ve been trying to pay Uniassist but I don’t know how much is 1 Euro to Naira and it doesn’t say until I complete payment.
Does anybody know the amount used to convert it in Naira please? |

Immacharles: What if those schools don't work out? Why limit yourself to just 2 schools? There are schools that don't require IELTS, with just Language proficiency from your university, you're good to go. You should have applied to schools before now, then defer to the recent semester just to be on a safe side. I have been checking but all Sommer semesters are closed and the earliest opening date for Winter semester is 1st March, unless courses that have 2 certifications which mostly require German language certification |

Good day everyone, My question is, I applied NOV 30, 2022 and my date will be around June, I emailed some public schools (PASSAU university and Facchoschule Sudwestfalen Hagen) because their admission date opens March 1st and they said IELTS is a compulsion for admission consideration in their school. They said I can apply for IELTS and upload proof I registered on Uniassist and submit IELTS result before Aug, 15th that they’ll treat my admissions like the rest so I’ll get admission letter before June most likely.
MY QUESTION IS? I am waiting to apply on Uniassist March 5th and also register IELTS March 1st. Is it advisable to do it this way or I should apply earlier on Uniassist? NOTE: Admissions has not opened for these schools for winter session |

Aj79: You have to get to the country. Enrol in any school you have admission. Get a Residence address and extend your visa to at least 1 yr. Then you can decide on other things like deferment and change of university in the following Semester Thanks boss |

Hannania: If you defer, your visa will be affected. It's tied to your studies. But yes, you can switch schools. Most important thing is to get in Thank you |

Hannania: Here's what you need to know. In all the permutations, you have to have a valid admission letter on your appointment date. If the semester has started, you have to show proof of enrollment.
If your school Is deferring your summer admission, ask them to issue you a speed up admission letter before your appointment date. That's your best bet. Deferral letter is not the proof embassy wants. They want an admission letter at hand or enrollment letter if the session has started What I mean is that let’s say embassy gives me acceptance letter or visa to study in Germany. Can I get there and defer my admission and enroll to another school for another course? |

Hannania: They'll give you maximum of 4 weeks to produce it. Your only bet is a private university, and you must pay 1 year tuition. You knew your date was coming, why didn't you apply for summer admission last year or early this year? What do you think about this idea? “Let’s say I’m given summer admission and also meet up my appointment date and if I’m granted visa, I’ll write a letter to the school for deferral of start of study to the next semester and in that time I apply to other schools that’d give me admission. If I’m able to later get admission letter from another school for winter session since I’ve gotten a go ahead from the embassy, will that visa approval cover the new admission letter? Or it’s just for the first one? |

Hannania: Remember undergraduate admissions in Germany is only possible with 100l transcript from Nigeria. If you've completed your degree, you better have ample reasons to give the interviewer. If you have 100l transcript and still in school, then getting admission in any course is not a problem I’ll give ample reasons definitely. I have interned in IT related roles, know a bit Frontend, also Ui UX design freelancer. |

Roushid: Good day Hannania, When do you think someone who booked November 30th, 2022 might get an AD. Because I’ve emailed schools for Summer session that teach in English the course I want to study and asked if they accept deferrals of admission. Or Should I just wait for Winter session applications which opens around May/June/July? Because I’m thinking I’d get a date by June/July but I might not have received admission letter by then What do you think about this @hannania? I’m going for undergraduate. Should I just apply any course just for the sake of admission not to lose the date, and when I get to Germany, can I easily switch schools or apply to another school for Computer science cause it’s computer science I want to study. Most schools that offer computer science in English haven’t opened applications and it’s not until May; looking at my AD, it might be around May also. What do you suggest? |
Travel › Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Roushid: 4:11pm On Feb 01, 2024 |
Hannania: If the current AD rang of 10 days continue, you'll get it in June. Or last week of May(very possible if that dates increase to 11 days).
If you have summer admission, ask the school to issue help you defer to winter. If you fail to get admission, you have to resort to private universities, and embassy expects you to pay tuition.
Another option is to look for schools that have winter admission deadlines for march, so that by April/may, you'll have admission. Thank you so much |

Hannania: This is her predicament. Applications starting in march will not give admission until April or may. Some even give admissions when applications are over. The current AD date is June 13. We'll be at June 23 this Friday. His/her AD is 100% coming next month. So unless it's a private school, O tilo Good day Hannania, When do you think someone who booked November 30th, 2022 might get an AD. Good day everyone, I have a problem. Can’t apply for summer session so I’m left with just winter option. Is it possible I get admission letter from any school to present at the embassy by June if I apply winter session? I’m expecting Appointment Date around June since my application was done around December, 2022. |

URGENT!!!, I registered on Nov 30, 2022, I chose masters and also the date of beginning of study visit I put is May 30, 2023. I didn’t know the 18 months wait process then.
It’s over a year of waiting, wanted to know if I’ll still get a date and I have changed to mind that I’ll go for BSc instead of masters in September, 2024.
Or should I leave the application or try another country? |
