wany: The men deserve worst, why couldn't they marry women of their social class, are there no ready made Nigerian female nurses out there in American.no dear they wanted under age girls to control right.a 28yr old lady to a 50yr old man.tueh they deserve worst.marry your social class and rest.stop looking for who to train rather wait and train your off springs . I don't understand this your argument. Respect is the problem here. A 28 year old that cannot respect her 50 year old husband will not respect a 33 year old one. Men have been marrying below their social status since time immemorial. That is how wealth flows. Women don't even like marrying at their social status anyway. They Marry up. |

wany: Are the Chinese and tribes you mentioned controlling and egoistic, sad this is a typical description of a Nigerian man.just look at the age a 28yr old lady to a 50yr man.tueh Yes. Chinese and Indians are as patriarchal as Nigerians. The only difference is that their wives did not forget where they are coming from. What is wrong with a 50 year old man? He is still strong and capable. Why did would a lady marry him and allow him to bring them over if they don't like his age? |

victorian: That's Nigerian men for you.
The men marry village girls till date, thinking they can control the village wives imported to abroad.
And I laugh at their foolishness.
Life! This foolishness is not restricted to village women. Someone that can come to America and become a Nurse in a short time is not a village woman. |

dominique: There are lots of level-headed, reasonable women over there in the US. These men will ignore them and go and import much younger village girls because because they want someone they can control totally. Most of these men control and exploit their wives financially till the wives get exposed and start exerting her powers. Marrying for the wrong reasons hardly end in praise. Exploit like how? The men brought these women to America. It is even the men that will fund her academic and professional pursuits. Why would they do that if they don't like her or don't want her progress as a strong woman.? The problem is lack of common sense. What you will swallow from your husband, you don't want swallow again because you are in America. The land of the free and the home of the brave is entering their head. |

It's like sense disappears the moment they land in America. A highly paid nurse should be a blessing to her husband and her children. The reverse is the case many of the time. They should look at the Chinese and Indian communities and learn. |

What would make a Nigerian woman married in a traditional way travel abroad and start misbehaving.
A foreign land that both couples should put their heads down and utilize it to the maximum for their children and children-children.
Instead the wife goes abroad and starts calling 911 because her husband shouted at her, or she starts behaving like akata.
Where is the common sense?
Why will you forget where you are coming from? |

homesteady: Ebuka has been hosting big shows/events for at least 5 years now, what more experience is he looking for?
If Ebuka likes, he should host shows for another 20 years, he will never be good as IK. Like Safarigirl said, IK is the total package. IK has a better personality than Ebuka, it's not something you learn, it's just natural, and of course, you improve on it.
Go and watch some AMVCA shows, then you will understand why she talked about singing and acting. Better personality? I think you are overstretching it. Ebuka has a great personality. I have watched IK at the last AMVCA. He is good. Especially his rapport with Cobhams on stage. But I guess it is a difference in style. Ebuka does not need to sing and act to provide a good performance. |
TV/Movies › Re: BBNaija 2020 Live Updates Thread by RTSC: 1:58pm On Jul 22, 2020 |
safarigirl: IK is a chill guy, he understands everyone has their lane, so, no need to be worried Since its inception, he has been the one recurring host for the AMVCAs, there has been no BBA in all that time, but his work is not threatened, because he offers so much more than what Ebuka does
Ebuka is not funny, he doesn't have IK's charm and he certainly cannot sing like IK. IK as a presenter, gives you the full experience; looks, style, charm, performance. Ebuka can bring looks, style and maybe charm, but he's not a performer. He will not sing and act for you.
IK na still baba anywhere. I still believe IK's experience is what makes him significantly better. Ebuka certainly creates more buzz. Is singing and acting part of the job description? Anything that makes you stand apart, I guess. |

safarigirl: IK is still bigger than Ebuka anyhow, style or not.
And outside BBA, IK does not dress with as much effort as Ebuka seems to put in his. IK no wan outdo anybody, he's just presenting. He looks peng on stage, but once he gets off the stage, he's a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy.
If BBA returns tomorrow, IK will still continue from where he stopped. I don't see the purpose of the comparison between two different people. IK is far more experienced. IK was already hosting when Ebuka was hustling as a BBN contestant. You don't bridge that kind of gap in a short time. Ebuka growth is rapid. If I were IK, I would be worried. And I am sure he is. |

Dangote has the proof to back it up that he's the richest as it is recorded
Ebuka does not. He's just a nicely dressed presenter you know. There's room for hundreds if not thousands of guys with better wears and sense of style to surpass what he's shown so far
Unless of course you think he has the best wardrobe in Nigeria and that would be a fkin stupid statement Bull shit. There is room doesn't mean it has happened. I am speaking of current reality, you are telling me there is room. Room ko, parlour ni. Ebuka get expensive outfits from expensive fashion designers probably as a marketing move. This is beyond being a nicely dressed presenter. |
