Did you watch United play against those smaller teams before Pogba came back? How was the team's performance? Did we not come here to be lamenting every match day even when we win? Was it not because the team was playing woefully?

But United still had more possession, goal attempts and general attacking stance in those games compared to when they play the other top 4 teams!

Take a game this striker has played and lukaku has also played e.g Say Aguero has played Team A away and Lukaku has played Team A away Let us compare the heat maps and let the people on here decide

First of all. Take note that I have said nothing for or against Lukaku performance(s). Na u with elamps baba get dat matter!

I am only challenging your use of the argument that other top strikers "do less work than Lukaku" to defend him. Because I believe they all do the same amount of work.
That other top strikers spend more time in the opponent box than Lukaku does. I seriously doubt it. As an illustration, see the attached pic for Morata goal vs Utd. His starting position and distance to goal.

Also Man United only "parks the bus" against a very small number of teams, top 4 or 5 at best. Typically, against the rest, they would probably be more on the front foot with more possession. Lukaku would surely have done more defending at Everton and West Brom than in United!
