In reality US doesn't even have hypersonic missiles , they just started developing the technologies after seeing how Russia is dealing with Ukraine.

The US doesn't even have missile defense system to cover their territory. The whole East Coast is entirely without missile defense system.

That is the first point of strike for Russia, New York and its environs are easily within total and fatal destruction in case war start today.

So big budget doesn't translate to big development.

u.s doesnt need hypersonic missiles...they already have airforce bases, carriers and submarines ìn europe and asia. Russia definitely have the best air defence systems in S400 but there have been reports in of ùkraine destroying couple of s400 systems.
