Fury as new Miss Universe drops shocking racial slur on top of the Empire State Building

Newly crowned Miss Universe Victoria Kjaer Theilvig is facing intense criticism after a TikTok video showed her using a racial slur.

Theilvig, representing Denmark, won the 73rd Miss Universe title on November 16th in Mexico City, where she competed against 120 other beauty pageant hopefuls. Her selection as the winner was seen as a victory for the 'anti-woke' after the 2023 competition featured married, plus-sized, and transgender contestants.

In a video posted from the Empire State Building, the Denmark pageant star sang along to Jay-Z's 'Empire State of Mind,' which includes the N-word.
Social media users quickly condemned Theilvig's use of the slur, calling for her to apologize and be stripped of her title.

'Runner up, you're up, this one is DONE,' said one disgusted user.

'In the crown at that omg,' said another, shocked that she would have the audacity to present the Miss Universe organization in such a way.

'I feel like she needs to be decrowned an apology is not enough,' said TikTok user Majin Mo, who created a video questioning whether Theilvig would even apologize.

Theilvig, representing Denmark, won the 73rd Miss Universe title on November 16th in Mexico City, where she competed against 120 other beauty pageant hopefuls.The Miss Universe organization and Theilvig herself have yet to publicly address the controversy.

Some speculate that the incident may go unpunished, given past statements by CEO Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip, the first trans woman to fully own the Miss Universe organization, who has expressed controversial views on diversity and inclusion.

Jakrajutatip has previously said in a leaked video that while diverse women can compete in the pageant, they 'cannot win.'

'The trans women, the women with husbands, divorced women… This is a communication strategy, because, you understand… they can compete, but they cannot win. We just put the policy out there. Social inclusion, as people would say,' the Thai media mogul said in the video.

When discussing the evolution of the Miss Universe pageant, the CEO recently stated that the competition has already reached its peak, reports Business Insider.

'Evolution? We have blond and blue eyes, so we're coming to the ultimate evolution already. We don't need any more evolution here. We already got the best here,' the controversial CEO said.

This year's Miss Universe pageant saw a return to tradition, with a cisgender woman taking the crown.
This comes after recent years of increasing inclusivity, including the participation of transgender contestants like Miss Spain 2018 Angela Ponce and Miss Netherlands 2022 Rikkie Valerie Kolle.

If a petition is successful raised and passed against Miss Theilvig, Chidinma Adetshina of Nigeria would be crowned the new Miss Universe as she is the first runner-up.

Report finds at least 15 universities in the UK have announced job cuts.
Hundreds of university staff are facing the risk of being fired as educational institutions scramble to cut costs due to a substantial drop in the admission of foreign students.
University chiefs have warned of cuts, ranging from shutting down courses to shedding teaching staff, due to the institutions being pushed into deficit, The Times reported.
This academic year, at least 15 universities in the UK have announced job cuts and additional cost-saving measures to save finances.
Earlier in March, more than 120 staff at Sheffield Hallam University were served with "risk of redundancy" letters, which gave them until 18 March to apply for voluntary redundancy or one of a "limited number of roles". The University of Kent in February proposed to cut 58 jobs along with nine courses in an attempt to respond to "financial challenges".
Due to a freeze in tuition fees, most universities have covered their costs by enrolling overseas students, who pay far more than domestic students.
According to the Higher Education Statistics Agency, overseas students comprised 24 per cent of all students in higher education during the 2021-2022 academic year. However, early acceptance data indicates a 37 per cent decrease in overseas recruits for the upcoming financial year.
Northumbria University said the cuts were necessitated due to "a sudden reduction of the number of students" arriving in the UK from Nigeria, where the currency has collapsed against the pound.
Acceptance data suggests there would be a 71 per cent reduction in the number of students arriving from Nigeria, The Times reported.
John Rushforth, executive secretary of the Committee of University Chairs, said: “I’ve been in higher education for 30 years and senior leaders are more worried than I’ve ever seen them.”
He told the newspaper that “bankruptcy is a realistic possibility” for some universities, which are being pushed to do “really difficult things” to stave that off.
“Taking fewer British students is a last resort but if you’re making a loss on something people have to consider it. Everything has got to be looked at because the situation is so serious,” he said.

“Universities have to think hard about what they want to protect and make choices about divesting themselves of things that are not core to the institution. There will be less choice for students. ...Fundamentally, either you have to increase income, or you reduce quality or volume.”

Yes but just for the main applicant. You need the total sum when you apply for your visa alongside any dependents coming along with you. You'll also need to pay your deposit before they issue you the CAS.

I'm so greatful for the detailed feedback. Now my wife feels comfortable to proceed with this option. Please were you able to provide your transcript as this is the condition we are having tough time with. They requested for official copy and we don't even have the student copy yet despite the fact that we've made the necessary payment to the school for more than a month with no clear idea of when it will be available.

Oh no!! Sorry about this. I went to a private University so I didn't have issues with my transcript. Like I said earlier, they are very understanding. I suggest she sends an email to the address that requested for the transcript explaining about ASUU strike et al. Hopefully before she resumes in January a solution would be available.

Please how do you see the school and environment in terms of cost of living (rent particularly) and job opportunities.

Also, do they require POF before CAS? We also couldn't find any information on their website relating to payment plan after the 50% deposit is made. Would appreciate any info on this. Did you also get a discount as this was not captured in the offer?

Right. The school is quite nice and they are very understanding towards students. Still trying to get a place as I'm staying with someone right now. It can be quite daunting to get a place but hopefully very soon I hope to overcome this challenge. There are also lots of job opportunities as there are more than enough vacancies. The important thing is to be on ground. After paying your deposit, there is the option of installment payment spread over right months and which starts counting the month after you resume. Yes, you need POF before they issue CAS but the good thing about them is that they don't delay compared to other schools and there's no discount. The Nigerian community here is quite substantial and the Scots are nice. I haven't experienced any negative issue so there's that. Hope this helps.

And just who told you he doesn't pay salaries or pensions. You have no evidence and just jump to your own conclusions. I am a Civil Servant in Edo State and can boldly declare that I've been paid my salary and no month is outstanding. If not that you have a biased mind, can't you even reason that why is it only one school protesting. If he doesn't pay salaries won't the caption have said "Civil Servants in Edo State". Ekiadolor has a problem of mismanagement of funds by its management which is why the Governor decided to halt their salaries until the rot in the system is rectified.

Not allow the Queen and Prince Phillip see their great grandchild even when they knew Prince Phillip was sick and might not survive (thank God he did)
