This occupation has a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

In addition his skills was assessed suitable for migration and work and work experience was relevant to the nominated occupation. Even at that, Does it mean that everyone in nigeria as to get a masters before applying..

A friend was assessed by ACS and the degree in computer science was compared to associate degree and only counted the one year from the six years experience to match the skilled employment. Now what is the overall point.would like to know exactly the point calculated for degree and experience.

Please help out here my friend recently got his Qualifications assessed with ACS and he got a positive result as suitable for Migration but his 4years BSc computerscience degree from a private university was assessed as being comparable to AQF Associate degree hence 5years out of his 6 years experience is being used as meeting suitability criteria. Can he appeal this decision or is that Nigerian degrees are not recognised.Will Welcome your feedback and suggestions. Thank you

Wow..so sorry to here this...I am sure this is first refusal I am hearing about on svp.anyways I think you need to know the first reason your application was rejected.under svp which I put in my application,i didn't include bank statement despite the fact that I applied with my wife and my boy. I guess people here will help you out about suggestions.but I think first of all you need to know why it was rejected before making another move.svp isn't stressful, for all I know about it.

HELLO house....I M HEART BROKEN AND DEVASTATED,MY STUDENT VISA APPLICATION SUBCLASS 573 UNDER SVP WAS REFUSED ON THE GROUND THAT I WILL NOT GO BACK TO NIGERIA AFTER MY STUDY.i included both statement of account and affidavit of sponsorship together with a SOP stating my future plan with regards to the relevant of my proposed course to my future.i intended to enroll in a course that suits my employment background..it took them nearly 3months to assessed my application.i was so apprehensive about the delay that i have to called them on monday to ask them if i should apply for the extension of my starting date or defer my admission for the next semester,...but to my greatest surprise,the same day they sent me refusal notice without any cogent reason.....Although,i didnt apply in nigeria as i m currently residing in another country.
Meanwhile,i still intend to reapply again as i have already deferred my admission to the next semester,But i m worried about the chance of getting the visa ....will it be fine if i courier my application to pretoria because the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY here doesn't assess any student here under SVP.In fact,they don't even have SVP checklist on their website or in their office.It seems as if they dont know about SVP or just a deliberate act.
please the house,i would need an advice or advices on how to go about it now....Is it wise to reapply again at the same embassy or send my application to Pretoria if it will be possible..?

Tbh is kinda hard to get settled under one week but with God all things are possible, you can stay in YHA backpackers in the city at 7 Akuna street. That's the cheapest to me hotel is not cheap, sometimes you might see a house but you might not like it cos you dont like the tenats or location of price etc but canberra has best houses in Australia anyways cos its developing so most houses are new, how many people are coming with you? Also if you wanted to rent an apartment it might be hard cos you have no job yet so they won't really give you a contract. Anymore questions I will load you hope this helps

here's a lil view of mine for my fellow migrants, Canberra is like Abuja where you find all they civil servants going to work it's not so fast paced, Sydney is like Lagos where things happen to some extent, Melbourne like Lagos is awesome cos its like a very multicultural environment so you will always feel at home, Perth is kinda good but far away, i don't really know much about Perth but businesses close early there dky!, these places i have been there so from my lil experience. i Study at uni. of Canberra, i will respond to any question when i can, Good-luck in all your endeavors

Book your ticket for your desired date, send a copy to the OSHC your are using telling them you are arriving earlier and would want your date changed. That's what I did.

when u log in with western union ... they now provide you with a bank account you will pay it into.the bank account will depend on the currency you are paying too.

All u have to do is upgrade your OSHC to cover your wife and child of 2. Use bupa from oshcaustralia.com cos alliance is damn expensive and they r equally as good. After that declare them and apply along with them on ur student visa form 157a. When she is ready to go to school she will just pay tuition and start since her health insurance is already running. U don't need any bankstatement to achieve this.

If she is applying for a student visa SVP she doesny need to show bank statement even with the two year old. If she is applying as a dependent to come join u after u have departed, she can't dodge that bullet. Its a most to show acc statement. If she is applying as a dependent with u on the same application as urs, non of u have to show bank statement. Asper her schooling, am not trying to scare you. I am only suggesting that you two come along and settle down. Perhaps she can. Switch her visa from dependent to student visa after six months Of your stay. That way ur in a better position to know wassup and leverage the system to its fullest.

You guys are just scaring me all. I have checked and checked about it, although we are deliberating on it.but really would she need to show bank statement if she is applying with my 2 year old boy as a student.
Like I said before studying is priority A.... But the way I'm just seeing people complaining about studying in oz for the both of us makes it sound strange.We wanted to study in the UK before ,did all the necessary things but I didn't get the visa due to past mistake on my application, my wife did get ours but she couldn't go alone.

For ur school u don't need any ielts or TOEFL to appply for your visa. Scroll back to Future dons post. U will see all the docs u need for SVP application. Its very straight forward. Are u going alone or applying with a dependent? Time isn't on ur side. Front load ur medicals and apply ASAP.
