This drama is becoming more dramatic, interesting and embarrassing to the church. It is very much painful seeing the body of Christ suffering this second persecution. I don't know how true this story is but CAN should step up their responsibilities by investigating and establishing panel of inquiries on such mind blowing confessions and allegations as well penalize all clergy men that are found wanting. This is becoming to much to bear as Christians. Perhaps, Christianity will never be taking seriously if some of these beasts dress in the cassock of men of God are not exposed, dragged and excommunicated as pastors. Sexual scandals, fraud and even rituals exhibited by some of these men of God is becoming unbecoming. |

Sorry to say this question is inconsequential there is no comparising between Palm oil and coconut the difference is to clear for the blind to see and the gap is to wide to bridge. Palm oil is a major revenue generated income for many countries all over the world like in billions of dollars countries like Malaysia and Indonesia are testament to this. Coming back home, Palm oil add to the coffers of our national treasury than coconut. Many small scale businesses in our communities today survive on palm oil business inclusively myself. I don't know whether or not I am the only one perplexed over this issue. The truth is that, that part of the section of the law (305) clearly stated in an unequivocally way that the president has power to declare State of Emergency in every quarter and section of the country if there is possibility of a brewing crisis or is in crisis. Nigerians should rather protest for clarity and pure statutory of interpretation in that aspect of law through constitution amendment and reformation than the obvious. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Even though ambiguity is a problem in law base on statutory of interpretation their is a direct literal meaning that the president has power base on Section 305 of Nigeria Constitution to declare State of Emergency in a state or any institution in the country when it is about to face crisis or in crisis. So I don't think the issue should be a subject of political debate. However, if anybody or the opposition is not comfortable with that particular constitution since most a times it is abuse and use a political witch hunt mechanism the protest would have been more appropriate that their energy be channel to constitution amendment and reform and not other wise. 1 Like |
