I am skeptical about online recruitment agenices and am wondering how many of you guys have actually gotten a job or even attended an interview that came from them. I want to know if my brother is wasting his time applying through them. Thank you.

I see no difficulty in this issue. The truth which we all have refused to look at is the aspect of reading. If the woman had read her books very well and passed the exam there would be no need for anything to occur. I have not seen anybody here give this advice.

however if she did not pass her exams and she is not WILLING to repeat the year, then you cannot blame the lecturer who decides to take advantage.

you displayed a certain immaturity which is highly unacceptable, but I FORGIVE YOU because it may be frustration that drove you to say what you said to me. i know that i have tried my best to help all you people that are looking for jobs in banks with advice and tips.

i pray that you get a job soon. my refusing to give out the name of the marketing director is due to the manner in which i got it. you may not understand.

to every other NAIRALANDER who is looking for assistance from me concerning bank jobs, let me say this,

1. i do not collect CVs.

2. i cannot speak for anyone on your behalf because i dont know you.

3. i can only refer you to someone or somewhere.

4. i can only give advice and or info i have received concerning my bank.

5. BEAR IN MIND: SUBMISSION OF CV IS NOT A 100% GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE CALLED!!!!

since most of you have applied online and nothing happened. i suggested you go to the HR dept and submit hard copy. i was referring to those that stay in lagos. also when you go, try to meet someone in human resources who will collect your CV. when you get one, make sure you collect his or her number and stay in touch.

if you are not in lagos and you try to submit thru the branches, they may ask you to submit online.

if you submitted online this year, then you still have to wait, you may be called. also bear in mind that not everyone that submitted CV will be called for test. IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DO SO!!!! there will be certain criteria that will be used to invite people for test.

i know that one of them is age. dont know the rest.

i suggest you keep calling the HR office every two weeks to find out how far. if you dont know how to get to the HR OFFICE PHONE, call 01-2705010-19 and ask to be transferred to HR DEPT.

the head office is at ozumba mbadiwe V.I . there are 2 facing each other on opposite sides of the road. go to the smaller one. that is where HR is.

PLEASE DONT GIVE ME YOUR PHONE NUMBERS OR EMAIL. THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU EXCEPT PASS ON THESE TIPS AND INFO. I HAVE GIVEN YOU MY NUMBER, PLS CALL ONLY.

TIPS:

1. TRY TO GET THE NAME OF ONE PERSON THAT WORKS IN HR AND MENTION IT WHEN YOU GET TO THE SECURITY DESK SO THAT YOU WILL NOT BE STOPPED AT THE GATE. ASK STAFF YOU MEET OUTSIDE INDIRECTLY. BE SUBTLE. IF POSSIBLE ASK THE JUNIOR STAFF.

2. APPEAL TO THE EMOTIONS OF THE HR PERSON ON YOUR PLIGHT BEFORE ASKING TO SUBMIT YOUR CV. WHEN YOU DO, GET HIS NUMBER OR COMPLIMENTARY CARD AND KEEP IN TOUCH.

people are called for interview based on the branch that is nearing completion or has been completed. if yours have taken 4 months then the branch within your location is not yet ready. another thing is to know whether you passed the interview. sometimes they do not tell people if they failed. they only inform people that are successful.

as a senior staff of oceanic bank i disagree with the last statement. it does not take seven months. oceanic bank is planning to open more than 50 branches this year and would need a lot of people. so the result will come out before 2 months. test results are not the only thing the people at HR are doing. the business of the bank must still go on.

please take heart all of you that wrote the test. you will be informed if you passed or failed soonest.

pray to pass because that will leave you with 80% probability of being employed.

hello my people, i left UBA for oceanic bank last year july after 4 and a half years. i will advice that you keep an eye out for other jobs as you wait. it is important that i inform you that 60% of UBA staff want to leave the bank due to low pay.

but if you are desperado job seeker then getting the job is important and salary not an immediate concern, so good luck.

the fact that you are given an id number is not a guarantee that you will be called.

your choice of location may also matter on whether you are called for a test. if the bank already has a completed branch in a particular location, they will most likely call people that chose that location faster than they would call those from a location where the building is still on foundation level, u grab?

every form submitted is scrutinized before people are called for an interview. so if they see something that they do not find suitable in the form, they will not invite the person for an interview even if he or she has an id number.

for those of you who say they cant find the website, use GOOGLE to search for it.

oceanic is the highest paying bank at the moment. that is all i can say about the pay. you will definitely experience peace.
