Celebrities / Re: Gospel Singer Nathaniel Bassey Petitions IGP Over Defamation by Rybnyk(m): 11:16am On Apr 05
shortgun:

Will Jesus Christ take his accusers to court?

Jesus will want the defamers to seek peaceful means of settling with the defendant(and it will be at the discretion of the defendant. If he chooses to go on with seeking justice, nothing is wrong)or face justice so they won't sin again. But we're in a world where some people just derive joy in hurting others so punitive measures are needed for such people. And it's actually good so one will learn not to hurt others. It's good to be merciful but some people will take it for granted. That's why punishment is needed in some cases. It's very much in line with the teachings of Christ....

Nathaniel is a gospel singer, he's expected to promote the teachings of Jesus Christ which has it's foundation in forgiveness and prayers to one's adversaries
.
The people trying to defame him didn't know about the teachings of Christ too abi? The petition is to sanction those troublemakers and help them live righteously and it's in line with the teachings of Christ too...

Just inferior military technology.

What they wished upon Russia is happening to them.

Ridiculous take. What's inferior about the Apache? Except you have no idea about what you're saying. They are one of the best attack helicopters in the world. Apaches have gone on successful missions in the past and you think they are suddenly inferior? It's deeper than that. The US military has adopted a woke dei policy. It might have something to do with these crashes. If race, sexual orientation is focused on instead of competence, then such mishaps are expected.

Finally, Israel is losing western support due to the high-handedness of recalcitrant netanyahu

He needs to step down as Israeli prime minister, he's an obstacle to peace between Israel and Palestine

Hamas also needs to step aside if Palestine will achieve peace. They have not helped Palestine one bit since they came into power. They are the cause of Palestinians pain. If they didn't attack Israel on October 7, Palestinians wont be dying in any war today.

God1000:
So you honestly believe Israel will exist and survive without western support.

Do you know that America alone can unite the rest of Arab countries and get UN support to create a state of Palestine and recognize it if they want to, with or without Israel's approval

What has Palestine done with Gaza since the Israelis left it to them in 2006? Nothing. They have had the opportunity to have their own state but instead allowed Hamas who has no good intentions for them to use Gaza as a platform to attack Israel. Most Arab nations feel sorry for Palestinians but they are wary of Iran who backs them. Iran is not really a trustworthy nation. Why haven't they helped to develop Palestine? They only care about using Palestine to fight Israel. No money for infrastructure but Iran always has money for Hamas military activities against Israel.

We are simply moving from a fixed (pegged) exchange rate to a managed floating exchange rate regime. Change like this often comes along with the high upward volatility we experienced some weeks ago.

With the aggressive efforts of the CBN, I strongly believe we are in the stage of stability; once that is obtained, we can then talk about appreciation of naira to fair value

Good days ahead.

Good days are ahead but we still have to deal with the structural problems. We are an import dependent country and our most valuable export is oil. We are even way below the OPEC quota. We Then there's the issue of oil theft we have to deal with. There's also the issue of maximizing the gains from oil derivatives, diversification of the economy so we can become less oil dependent. These are the issues we have to deal with before we heave any sigh of relief...

Nigeria doesn't have any spiritual problems whatsoever. Rather, evil human beings keep getting the support of other evil human beings to loot the country dry and suffer the people, driving them to your religious houses.

Why are there no spiritual problems in the UK US, China, etc?

We do. The politicians BELIEVE that stealing and pillaging the resources of the country is good. It's a belief system that must be crushed to a major extent by physical effort. Not just by praying. That is what western nations get that Nigerians don't.

Why not deal with the issue of generation and then we can talk about EVs. EVs are not for us now. Ofodirinwa:
Africans are clowns.

You will continue courting 'FOREIGN INVESTMENT' as if it is a good thing. You will not ask yourself what is good about it.
Ok it 'creates jobs', but the minute one kpim happens, they pack up and leave. Imagine creating useless jobs that disappear when the economy is bad. Mind you, when the economy is bad is when you need jobs. So now you have a situation where when an economic problem is supposed to be a 2, it immediately becomes a 10 because you're depending on people who are ready to run when any sign of stress appears.

Please. Let them leave, and let us stop trying to pretend that 'multinationals' are worthwhile assets to ANY economy.

What is bad about foreign investment? Do you want foreign firms to stay and lose money because they love Nigeria? Businesses are meant to make profit and are not set up for show or sentimental reasons. Many countries grow their economy through their ingenious efforts and foreign investments. You're saying "let them leave",the same reason why they can't be profitable is the same reason why a Nigerian business will also fail. Poor infrastructure, poor macroeconomic policies and you want them to stay because of "love"? Even Dangote,Elumelu will not keep quiet if his firms start taking hits and running at a loss. Business is business o. Profit is the main motivation.
