dahmie2013: But Dangote should know that unionism is normal & should not be the reason to hold a nation ransom. Anyways, thank God it is over. We move. I already even bought 2 kegs of 25L fuel.
It's not Dangote that wanted to go on strike. It was NUPENG and that would have affected Nigeria and "held the nation to ransom". If NUPENG went on with the strike,it wouldn't really affect Dangote,he already has international clients he is serving. Nigerians would have been the ones who will suffer. Unionism is normal but it's also "normal" for a private company to not unionize. It's like the case of federal universities and private universities. ASUU,NASU can't demand that private university workers should join any union.
Kaa4: For only FOUR days?!! Haba. Not for four months or years! Let the man go and stop the drama Nigerians are looking for places to stay outside the country because the country is currently inhospitable to them. Have mercy and let him stay, or release him and let him go.
It's not drama. It's upholding their laws. It's not Poland's business that Nigeria is inhospitable. That's no reason to break their laws. Because of what the EU is allowing and the situation in Germany, Poland has zero tolerance for things like this. It's unfortunate but this is the way it is.
Nnamdipapa: I came across this on FB and I want to know your thoughts on this, why would a black lady disclose she is not dating African men? Imagine if a black guy makes this kind of post and indicate they would not date black or African ladies, them black ladies will come with pitch forks.
Black ladies, stop discriminating against African men.
You also have the power to exercise that choice not to date them. It is beginning to seem as if you are appealing to them for some form of acceptance. Do you think Asians will care about such post if she said it to them? No! They won't care. Her choice will only be relevant if it stops Africans from breathing. If not, make she gerrout...
This $15K Rolex model is not an investment. If you own it and sell it after 5 years, you can't sell it for $15k. You'll sell it for less. The Rolex models that one can hold as an investment are the vintage models that were made decades ago. They hold high value because of their rarity. Someone who owns a vintage Rolex can demand a higher value, not this one($15k)
Kushites: Many Nigerians don't know how powerful Iran is.
Do you people know that Iran has several underground cities?
They are up to 300 metres below the ground.
Think 100 metres race distance.
Times 3.
Undergound.
Full cities with roads, cars, buses, banks, hotels, military bases, houses where people live.
They've been planning for this confrontation for decades.
They will not be the walkover people think.
And something makes me suspect they actually have a secret nuclear weapon.
And that they might have a secret plan to strike the USA with it.
Strike USA with it? Lol. They can try if they want to be wiped off the face of the earth. The US has over 5000 nuclear warheads, only Russia has more. France,China won't even dare strike the US,not to talk of Iran. Iran may have a strong military in the middle east but it stops there. They have ballistic missile capabilities but seriously fall short when it comes to nuclear armament. For example,If any country has 10 nuclear warheads,it will be foolish to attack a country that has 1000 nuclear warheads. Except you want to cease to exist.
"Agbakoba noted the absence of a strong opposition in the country, saying many politicians are more interested in grabbing power than in nation-building". For those who say that we should copy China, it's the same power grabbing politicians that will stay and stay in power and not want to leave. I don't think it's the governance system, it's rather the way it's practiced. The same Nigerians that call for change will end up abusing the next adopted system. The federal system will work well for us but many of our governors are lazy and would rather wait for allocation from the FG.
Glimpsetv: A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her concerns about the changing attitudes of men in today’s society. According to her, there was a time when, if you went to a restaurant to buy food, a man would approach and offer to pay for everything.
She added that back then, even men who didn’t know you at all would walk up to you at a shopping mall, offer to shop for you, and even carry your basket around the store. But nowadays, she says, men no longer do such things — instead, they simply wait for you outside.
She also recalled how, in the past, men would often stop their cars to offer women a lift upon seeing them by the roadside. But today, she claims, such gestures of kindness have become rare.
She went on to lament how much things have changed in the country, reminiscing about 10 to 12 years ago when men were more willing to help women and showed genuine care.

fineboynl: I was just wondering if Nigerians are still eating pounded yam?
The price of yam will just weak you.
Normal size 9k-10k i just weak.
Not "it's like". Yam is now for the elite class. I remember in the past when we used to have foodtech bread, eggs and oats for breakfast. Nigerian economy started getting bad and my mom said we will have to start eating yam as breakfast sometimes. See the yam now, 😂
Father4all: because he thinks he can bully everyone
What is bullying in this case? Helping your country gain more economic leverage is not bullying. I think we as Nigerians are used to accepting anything put before us without criticism and so when we see another leader maneuvering to his country's advantage,we call it "bullying". World trade is not a "tea party". Countries fight to gain advantage over each other. You think China is "kind and compassionate"? They'd rather produce for you so you won't bother setting up industries to produce what they are selling to you, like the west. Like the US, China is a world power because they play to their own advantage.
Mide70: i used the sentence “not really” unlike other countries who have been trying to meet Trump for discussion like UK,Canada and co China never thought of meeting Trump for the tariff cut. They are not desperate to stop the trade war !
The US is China's single country largest market. If they were not desperate and the trade war was not really affecting them, they wouldn't have started negotiations with the US. You think China agreed to negotiate because they are very "religious and kind hearted"? The decision to negotiate with the US revealed how desperate they were.
Mide70: China is not really feeling the heat of the tariffs but US does! Most electronic devices comes from china . Asides that China is no small country ! in terms of Technology and many things US is behind china . I knew all these Trump initial gragra on trade war is for a while !
If China was not really feeling the heat, they won't agree to negotiations.
Repatriation compensation for what exactly? What about the Nigerians who sold their people as slaves to the Westerners? Should those people demand repartition compensation?
Occultism: The occult is any practice that leverages supernatural power or knowledge apart from Jesus Christ,God Almighty. This is according to Christian belief. The belief of Catholic Christians is based on Christ. There is nothing occultic about what they are doing. Except you don't understand and go on with what you have heard about the Catholic Church.
nairavsdollars: Saint Akpabio brought Nigeria global shame
I don't support Akpabio but not all the people attending the pope's burial are saints or morally upright people. Many are there on official capacity to pay respects to the head of state of the Vatican...
Dictionary definition of Ritual: A religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order. When my Grandma died,a series of rituals were performed in line with our culture. 🤷🏾♂️
Hemanwel: Where are they burying the Pope's remains? Is it going to be in his home country in Argentina or there at the Vatican?
BTW:
To be sincere, why would the federal government allow Akpabio to lead Nigeria's delegation to the Pope's final burial? A financially- and morally-corrupt individual like Akpabio?? This is an insult and a disrespect to the papalcy!
