very true, but at this stage now is called profiling when the open up a data base on every prospect and call to mk sure they av all ur details correct even down to ur blood group, finger print as was done during documentation. While waiting, l advice dat u all engage in early morning exercise especially juging and press-ups. At least 2km evry morning and 50 push ups sh'ld be a warm up 4 camp cos it will be more dan dat in camp. By d way do we even hav fmale here on nairaland who are also expectn camp invite? cos almost all comments here seems 2b 4rm d male.

Hey fellas small news, confirmed that officers are still using training base for promotional exams even as of today, because there's going to be massive posting for them, then also going to be massive retirement from the 1986,87,88 dss officers as they av reached retirement year in service, so definitely prospective agents are going to camp this year because they need Dem in active service from early next year. If we don't hear from them dis coming week then it's next month first week for sure.. that's the way it seems from the little I could gather.. hey also they have increased salary's by a massive 40 to 45k in each caders sounds comfortable enuf, Let's just be patient nobody knows date for camp resumption yet.. let's see what dis new week will bring us.. lovely new week ahead ladies and gents be safe.

I observed that funds needed to be used for training is yet to be approved by the senate

The Senate break is meant to last till September and they will seriously debate and scrutinize before approval & if they don't approve before middle of October, the training might be moved to January

The presidency is currently pleading for them to briefly come back and approve alongside with the election budget but they are playing politics and trying to play on presidency's patience.

This is part of the reasons why the general elections will most likely be postponed by 2 to 3months

I can't sit and say hey you will die, hey u can't do it, hey u can't cope, hey u can't survive... Nah it's risky all security jobs are risky,fact dat was my first statement if u noticed,this days we know how naija be with security wahala.. but people wey dey do am no get two head, people wey de dey service retire no get two head.. if it will be it will be.. and bro u can't even argue on that statement I just gave one of the jobs of an agent, I didn't say ul sip wine or drink tea. It's not Guna be easy yeah... Inde end if u can't cope u switch to administration not every body can handle Field work.. even administration if worst come to worst it gets to dat point wer everybody has to enter field all die na die.. the number of army and security personnels that have died this year for us to sit in our comfort zones and press fone and say what we want it's nobi small,don't also discourage anybody, if u have the will power n zeal to serve u do so gallantly, abi the people who die nobi somebody fada, broda,husband ,son, friend, neighbor,etc.. lost a friend dat has been fighting Boko Haram for 3yrs now he was stationed at the front line. This fourth year and he was supposed to come back n get married, he died in combat few days ago, if dss is risky but e no reach for wer army dey. Even army training people die in camp.. dss training is hard but not as difficult. There levels to this shit bro, he who has metal and zeal to serve should serve.. it's not all Rosy can never be we pray for peace in nigeria.Insha Allah.

Just like every security job it comes with it's risks.. that's why an agent has to avoid showing off so u don't drag attention to ursef.. rather u go about ur job quietly and diligently... As per the risk Dem fit post u go borno what will u do?? Lol. What if ur assignment is to infiltrate a gang n get information and the gang members find out ur agent.. not in all cases tho major objective of dss agent is to protect the president, and top govt officials and foreign envoys.the dss is a department under the presidency, that's where their loyalty and first obligation lies. Also to provide intelligence gathering to sister agencies such as the army and police and so on.. to work deligently and selflessly to halt any threat to the country and it's peace.. aso and detectives have more work load tho, than cadets from my little investigation. But DATs not to say it's not equally stressful and it will take ur time alot especially for first timers ul be used well so as to build up ur experience and metal.

Also, Are they still paying t he after training allowance that is applicable in Police and Military? Above all, I saw it clearly in my dream..I saw a white A4 Paper that contains the list of Dss Cadets successful candidate for training..My name was there...I couldn't see the date clearly but looks like 5 August 2018 or 8/8/2018... Joy overflow in my heart ... congratulations to everyone

Okay lemmi try and answer from my understanding. Sss combat operatives in camp ul see people that have the zeal and strength and courage to be combatants also from steady training and dedication one can get those attributes, so anyone can be a combatant depending on how good u can handle ursef, but I know for sure the work of the dss is not so much of combat like that of the army hence training is not so hard thou basic gun play and self defense will be taught and practiced. It won't fall into any cader. As we all know the detectives are the security details we see with top govt officials. That's not to say in thier team the won't be Oda caders. U can choose to be admin or field operative as a cadet, as aso admin or field operative, detectives same it all depends on where u find ursef and ur assignment. A good strategists would be a waste behind a politician just becos he is a detective,if the agency values his or her input he or she will serve at where his strength best lies that's the essence if training camp to teach and also get d best suited for each role.

House done dull again ooo.. oya spice.. we must make camp this year.. small gist..# posting is done every two years three years at most in dss.. so the job will take u round and all over the country, u won't have as much time for urself or family.. as u would wish to. Promotion is carried out every two to three years depending on the caders.. so between 6 to 8 years some lucky effective people can rise in service to heads of local governments zones. They don't owe salary at all.. they don't owe pension at all. They even pay a mind month bonus called incentives to officers. Which is like 20percent or 30 percent of ur monthly salary.. salaries are never delayed either. Bonuses and allowances are also very attractive..not oil company attractive oo. Just enough to afford the affordable and comfortability. Who has their own gist can share av a lovely week guys

Na wa oo. Baba u ur updates the always cut person mind.. I dunno for other state commands o. But my state is still vetting prospective agents as of this week they started some sort of final vetting am sure some people here can verify this info. Regardless what will be will be best of luck.
