See mouth like garri oo, funy guy,Dem go feed u 3times daily. U can buy garri from Mami maket if u wan de sip cos I know say u be village man. Lol u cannot do without ur garri and groundnut hahaha. But on a serious note cadets training is more of tactical, intelligence and avasive skills, but there's physical like takwando training cos ur expected to be able to defend ursef in close quarters combat, also gunplay, Technics and strategy. I hear say Chinese trainer go dey on ground to teach, and those that Excel will present on passing out parade day. Also driving skills, I heard swimming one time too cos those skills are very welcomed inter personal skills u never know wer ul find ursef one-day u might need to tap into ur skill set to survive or evade.

From Wot I gathered here in this thread is like d cadets physical training is of less important, lol. May b is like that of NYSC Camp which is few minutes morning juggling etc

Remember only cadets went for course 29.so the total number that where suppose to go was at that original figure, but since only cadets went it was about 385 or there about. That's just what dat statement means. Exclusive of Oda caders

OBSERVATION: Course 29 (2016) out of 800+ inaugurated only 400+ pass out! Y and how this drastically reduction of number Pls? Wot happened in there?

I don't know for certain. But I might just have and idea about a few,
1. A suit, colour I duno , to be safe black suit
2. White canvas
3.white top and shorts
4. plain Jean.
5. Plain pants trouz
6.red tie
That's all I can fit in right now this isn't 100 percent oo. It's just from my own research what I have seen and noticed also from past sets. Hope DATs Abit helpfull

the last set was interval of 3days and dey wer off for camp. Some received call June 4 some June 5. Even 6 sef and they all had to report to camp on 8th it was that fast last time. So u can really say with dis guys they can be funny give u a week or two 3 days u never know. Definitely ul get list first before camp I strongly perceive this month or lastest first week of August latest.

Nice 1, Pls list out Wot to bring and not bring to camp As we prepare.

It happened ohh. 3weeeks to graduation they kicked Dem out. Cos allegedly there were brought in by God fathers and politicians and didn't do the needful by passing Tru each stage on some level of merit so I believe strongly merit still works in dis org. Say they are picking 5cadets like dis time, my state has 3 senitorial district if 3 one from each are taken by merit shey de Oda two can now come from either the biggest districts in terms of size or oga at de top can have two. But doesn't mean everyone exactly is der without merit DATs why I said u gotta put in the work if u really wanna serve in dis capacity.. it's a job of pride and esteem and intergrity.

I like them too. Be specific about the WORK pls

At least speaking for my command oo. Cos I had a conversation with the few people I met and the where sound and smart.. hence the reason the got to the interview level and documentation level... So dat how I gauaged my stats. Anyways shey I nobi dg na. But trust me the outfit is deligent, fair and they try the outmost to work with out interference. The reason I have always admired them. Especially this buh buh period they,ll try to be straight so if u have done documentation and ur refrees,or neighbor or any family member has been contacted, u can breathe in slow especially if ur the only one from ur senitorial district lol, now it's up to ur background check, who u hangout with, ur views politically and ethinicaly na only u fit cancel ur sef if uv gone this far avoid wahala if person slap u just Waka pass de go lol.

Wot if no contact to refrees or family members?... D slap issue, na to just thank d person on top

Remember the people that went in without those processes where kicked out in course 28,cos of political influence. Dss is at least 80 to 90 percent on merit. U have to the the ground work and study and go thru phases else yu,ll still be kicked out eventually.

For the admin and support staff positions, officers are assigned to dose departments from the pool of officers recruited and dose in the system already. It all depends on where one is placed.

OK ooo. But do they need to go to camp? Or they only need simple induction

My brother who is a DSS officer and also an insider for me yesterday told me that our vetting reports have been forwarded to Abuja. Any moment from now we shall be contacted. When I enquired more about which cadre will be called first? He said all of the cadres will be contacted at the same time.

I can only answer no 3, the camp is lively. The feeding is a top notch, very classical that's why its costly too trained a DSS officer. The budget for the training use to be high, the pay and the feeding are good. They don't share meats or fish like police do. They don't manage, they make the training conducive for the trainee. Finally, its more of intelligent training though some physical

Hlo guys, 4 those who have insight Pls answer d following questions :
1: who has any idea about dia supporting/admin staffs recruitment process, do they even advertise d positions?
2: how tough is d physical drilling in camp, at least if there will b any sort... A while ago somebody list camp requirements but didn't include shorts.
3: Pls short sentences, summarize d camp life/activities.
4: what is the flexibility of a dss officer or A. S. O.
5: how good is their salary and all d bonuses. Or u can specify d range!
For those who must have noticed, I have asked similar questions in d past but no answer. I hope Dis time u Won't overlook.

because mine went well too,but when I told them how much am currently receiving as salary,the chairman told me that they cannot pay such amount. so may be is your pay that they cannot match,thats why you cldnt get it.
