Officers die in line of duty all over the world. Even where their killers are apprehended, most get jail terms and not death. A state should try not to kill innocent people, wantonly.

I was in Odi, about a year after the Odi saga & indeed no building was standing, in fact there was even no road, the soldiers cleared the road & the forest.the The only thing remaining was the breeze.

After the soldiers finished with Odi, they leveled Yenegoa too.

FYI, a whole village wasn't wiped out, I visited Odi weekly to supply canned food to those soldiers. Also note that before the operation began an order of evacuation was issued.
