I'm considering doing the same. But do you think it's advisable considering my application is almost 16 months and I got a PFL..? I'm scared I might be rejected. But there's no harm in trying sha since it's just 100 dollars for the application. Sigh I just tire. 6lam: This was actually for my wife but I did the application myself, I used both my Nigerian bank statement and foreign statement for POF(she’s not working so I stated that I’ll be sponsoring her trip) . For documents , we used normal documents you’d need for a visitor visa(letter of invitation , proof of relationship and the rest )
Don’t forget to explain in the letter that you have an ongoing spousal application (include the application number and your UCI number) and make sure you state clearly your plans and timeline of your proposed visit. Once you’re in on visit visa, you can then apply for OWP(see the picture attached from official government website) |

Which one is BTW? I don't understand that. Your eligibility completed after or before pfl? It's just one application portal. jayF19: So for the spousal sponsorship, the PR application portal seems the same, do the sponsor and the principal applicant(sponsored) both apply on the portal separately? Or it's just one application created by the principal applicant? |

We contacted a couple of lawyers in Canada and the amount they were asking were exorbitant. So we had to do it ourself. We wrote the letter in response to pfl, attached all our pictures in a chronological order from when we met to our wedding , to the birth of our child. Attached exported WhatsApp chats from like 5 years ago till date, get two friends to write notarized attestation letter and even attached pictures with us at various events , attached proof of my husband visit to Nigeria, statement of account etc... How did you do yours? kolex22: Nothing yet Do you later make used of any representative or you do it yourself? |

Thanks so much I appreciate. God bless geekybabe: Well. It depends on you and how much this matters to you. You have already had a chance at doing it yourselves and now you need an expert to get past this and get your approval.
Your spouse in canada should reach out and ask around for certified immigration lawyers or Registered immigration consultants that can help out in this matter. Not immigration content creator o. A proper immigration lawyer/ consultant (RCIC) that can help you present a strong case. You don’t have so much time. If you want this , get a second opinion while you get all the detailed documents ready.
Again, pay attention to the dates in documents so that it aligns with your relationship history.
This is the only chance you have on this application to get this approval to be with your spouse. All the best. |

Thanks so much for your response. I appreciate. If we provide all these detailed info, do you think we'll still need a lawyer ? geekybabe: Hmm. This seems to me like you didn’t submit enough / comprehensive documentation with your application.
You need to have as much details and proof of your relationship with dates. Not just marriage certificate. Pictures. Pictures with other people, chat history over the years, include dates on those pictures as much as possible. List every thing they asked in that letter and carefully address them with pictures and chats or any form of dated evidence. If you guys have transferred money to each other or have any shared accounts, add the proof with dates.
For your child, do you have proof of your husband sending money for his upkeep, or chats where you guys discuss about your child.
Again, our Bollywood brothers sponsor their spouses despite arranged marriages. It’s really just detailed supporting documentation.
Watch videos on YouTube. Put the contents of that letter in chat gpt and ask for ideas to respond and present a strong and convincing feedback to ircc.
Check Ask kubeir lawal on Facebook for others who have gotten procedural fairness letters and how they responded. You’ve got this. |

.....""Based on the evidence that you provided, I am not satisfied that your marriage is genuine and/or that the primary reason for the marriage is other than for the purpose of you gaining admission to Canada. You have not submitted sufficient evidence of the progression of your relationship. Evidence regarding the history of your relationship lacks substance. You mention that you met on 2020/10/17 but it is unclear when you relationship begins and when you decide to get married. It does not appear you have spent quality time together prior to your wedding and after. You provided limited evidence of your spouse's stay in 2023 for your wedding. The date he left Nigeria is not mentioned and demonstrated. You have not provided sufficient evidence of time spent together in the form of photos showing you and your spouse in various setting. You have not provided sufficient evidence of meaningful ongoing communication. Insufficient evidence of the financial aspects of your relationship (e.g. transfer of money, joint property, insurance plans or pension, insurance policies) was provided. You declared one dependent but little explanation or evidence was provided with regards to a shared parental conduct concerning this child. I have concerns that your relationship is not genuine or that it was not entered into primarily for the purpose of acquiring permanent residence in Canada. As a result, for the purpose of the regulations, I am not satisfied that you are a member of the class......."" We did the application ourself. Which immigration lawyer can I contact ? We submitted wedding pictures , certificates etc during application. So this is so surprising. geekybabe: Ok. Calm down. Did you do the application yourselves or used an agent?
You might need a guidance and expertise of an immigration lawyer with experience. Again, not an agent. A proper lawyer at this point.
But first, What is the story? What exactly did the letter say? |

Thanks so much for your response . I really appreciate. How do i email accra please ? Do you have their email address? RonkeGoke: Interesting. Reason I said there is no hard and fast rule. You got your AOR quite early unlike most people that it took about 2-3 months to get AOR. Best you can do for now is to keep sending web forms and probably email to Accra. |

I submitted February 7th and I got AOR February 23rd. And since then, it's been total silence. Tracker is just showing eligibility in progress since March 13th. RonkeGoke: So you haven’t gotten medical request yet? The pattern is most people get medical request around 5 months after the application was submitted. But there is no hard and fast rule to this thing. When did you submit ur application? |
