There is a neat hidden menu on your new Android Marshmallow phone or tablet that gives you a bit of control over your status bar and its pull-down menus — the System UI Tuner.

Once enabled, you can change the way your status bar and pull-down settings look and feel, giving your Android a more custom feel that would have previously required some rooting and flashing.
unanonso:

Pls, what is the ui tuner for?

omo see review... This is awesome.
have you been able to obtain root access?
Nemie:

tbh, the phone is really decent. Picture quality is okay (not mind blowing anyway), night pictures are interestingly bright probably due to the dual flash, the front camera is pretty fine so long as u dont go shooting in beauty mode, battery wont take u a whole day on moderate to heavy use. Screen gestures work fine, fast charge works, 4g network is there sadly i havent been able to test this... it could get warm but not hot and well this is expected considering the processor (i also have a redmi note 2 and it warms up same way)... speaker is fairly loud even tho it would have been better if the grills were on the side and not behind. screen is sharp, themes work all in all i feel like i got a good deal

yeah...i have seen the pictures, really making brain

Too heavy. The attachment on Nairaland has an attachment file size limit I guess.

Phones / Re: Infinix Hot 2 Likely To Recieve Marshmallow 6.0 Update By January by safas20(f): 8:51pm On Dec 19, 2015
Great news, anticipating....
iGotTech:
For some couple of weeks now, we have constantly been fed with news relating to the latest android operating system which is the 6.0 marshmallow. Infinix in a leak press release we sorta shared yesterday, said the infinix hot 2 x510 phone will be getting the marshmallow upgrade before the end of January.

An excerpt from the press release reads thus:

Software speaking, HOT 2 is coming with the latest operating system in the market, Android Lollipop 5.1. As technology is moving fast, Infinix is following. The smartphone also manages your power and data usage. The device will receive an automatic and free update of Android Marshmallow 6.0 before the end of January 2016

While it’s not totally impossible for an android One phone in Africa to get the new marshmallow upgrade so soon owing to the fact that some android one phones in Bangladash and India has been reported to have received the new 6.0 marshmallow upgrade via OTA, you may want to take this news with a pinch of salt.

The reason for this is because although infinix promised some phones will be getting the android 5.1 lollipop in August, public betas were released sometime in July and beta updates in August with final versions for some specified models released in September.

Since the infinix hot 2 is an android one smartphone and Google promised 2 years of free upgrade on the device, update should be rolled out via Over The Air (OTA) and not having to flash like in the case android 5.1 lollipop on other few infinix devices.
