Well, we're almost at the same stance. Only that I believe love do exist and it should be bases of conjugal relationship. Other items like financial stability etc can come in afterward. Note that in every marriage 'love' goes either way - either up or down. And it's the collaboration of the two partners as I mentioned earlier.

Marrying for wrong reasons - financial stability, security, aging etc can cause love to wither away with time. Note that same staggering stat will show up if the table is turned around.

But sincerely, every marriage in this dispensation is acutely threatened. It'll takes serious effort of both partner to go through.

Fact is; Unconditional LOVE doesn't exist in African marriages, so i'll say most partners don't love themselves.

Marriage in Africa is an everlasting supposed romantic transaction between two partners, not an institution of LOVE.

The love a woman needs from a man is his fatherly concerns and financial care to the family.
If she isn’t get those things from her man, she won't be happy.

While the man needs loyalty, respect and home builder from a woman.
If he isn't getting those things from her woman, he won't be happy.

And those wants are not suppose to be called LOVE, but give-to-get transactions and commitment.

LOVE is a deceptive scam in a relationship/marriage.

Sorry but Safiaa are you married? You need to wear the shoes to know where it pinches rather than judge based on assumption. A lot of things factor into the equation. It may be that the lady in question is depressed, depression has a range. It's not easy looking after the home and family and if one isn't careful, you'll put yourself on the back burner or totally burnout.
You CHOSE each other out of a multitude, try to create the right atmosphere and get her to open up to you,lighten her chores by helping out occasionally, remind her of things she used to do and the resulting results, let her know you are willing to help and remind her you love her.
