RomanceRe: She Is Madly In Love With Me But She Has A Daughter. Pls Advice by sagaciousblog: 11:29am On Feb 22, 2015
balaclava:
7. You will never really be accepted. I have observed time and time again the heartbreak of a step parent as the child gets older. After putting them through school, providing a place to live, food, getting the child all kinds of gifts and honestly really caring about the child. The time comes for a grad or a wedding, the child invites mom and dad to the party; and thanks them for all their love and work. Usually there is not even an acknowledgment of effort.

8. You will have no time for errors. A lot of single men get involved with the single mom and her kids when the child is a bit older. Being inexperienced with children becomes a huge burden as the single man has no time to learn parenting skills; and mistakes are not readily forgiven nor forgotten when a kid is 4 compared to 14.

9. You may think it ends, but it never does. I know many men whose single mom wife promised them a completely different life after junior turned 18 or so. At the beginning of the relationship it looked like just a few years and then total privacy and freedom. but it never does.

10. You will have nothing to show for it. In the end when most men have their own children the work and effort is well worth it. The men did their best and raised a family, continued a line, get grandchildren etc. As a step-parent you have contributed as much but you have nothing. Nobody carries on your name and most men realize they are not even ever thanked for their sacrifice.

11. The legalities can kill you. There have been numerous cases where a man has divorced or left a single mom and then found himself liable financially for her child. Although not the father he will be responsible for child payments, extra fees and most certainly university far after they are 18 check the laws out, it´s a raw deal. Couple that with some alimony and child abuse claims you get the whole effect of being a divorced and homeless dad with not one child of your own.

12. In the end women have asked for their freedom to make their own choices now for decades. I would advise all single men to let single moms make their choice of having a child by themselves and then live with it. Don´t involve yourself with these women under any circumstances. It can be in many ways, the death of a man.

Well it´s a rough guide and you were warned

Embryology : BRS Embryology

Physiology : NMS Physiology plus/minus Fox Physiology

Biochemistry : MN Charteajea Textbook of Medical Biochemistry

The books I recommend to medical students are often looked down upon. They are indeed risk adventures. Most medical students I recommend books to end up not using them. Why? Because they're not the usual books. Medical students are used to the books generations ahead of them used and prefer spending long grueling hours on huge endless textbooks. To some of them, that's the drill.

But one girl attempted to use of of the books I recommended in her Pathology exam. Her classmates were studying Almighty Robbins and Cortran Pathologic Basis of Disease. I told her not to use it. My reason: the book was too detailed and time wasting. I offered her a trio of Pathology Secrets+Pathguy.com+Some lecture notes I emailed her. The results was out last week- she topped the class with a distinction mark. They still think she's a genius.

Happy weekend.

lomaxx:
Start by removing the distractions - then study. Never study with the hope of containing distractions. It mostly never works. Even if it does- its not perfect.

I'm not a fan of studying for long grueling hours. It's not important. What is important is your goal of studying, having the right materials, and making sure you attain your study goal per time.

A man can decide to put 2 bags of rice on a wheelbarrow and push it from point A to point B. To everyone, he has worked hard. To him, he is working hard. You can see the sweat on his skin and his bulgy muscles attesting to the 2 bags of rice weight.

Another man can decide to put 2 bags of rice in van- to move from point A to point B. Well, this doesn't matter much to anyone. Nobody sees him. Nobody hears him. He doesn't work so much as MR Truckpusher. But he did what Mr Truckpusher did- moving two bags of rice from point A to point B.

Granted-to succeed, you would have to invest hardwork. But sadly, the most important thing is not the amount of work you do, but the amount of goals you attain per time.

I am not saying studying for long hours isn't good. My point is- no matter how long you study for ( 2 hours or 20 hours) place more emphasis on what you're achieving with that time instead of using the length of time as a measure of effective study. At the end of the day, when you're asked to write on the brachial plexus, nobody would ask the number of hours you studied. You'd be expected to produce what you should know.

This doesn't mean it's easier.

Long term memory depends a whole lot on repetitive studying. If my physiology doesn't fail me, there are two types of memories: short term and long term. When you're studying a concept for the first time, that information is stored as short term memory. Within a short while, you'd forget. To remember over a long period of time, you need to transfer this information from the short term to long term memory centers. This can only happen by repetitive studying- a term fondly called "potentiation" (look up physiology of long term memory and potentiation for more details)

Which is why I always advise that one studies :

1) Before a lecture
2) Pay attention during the lecture
3) Study what was taught immediately after the lecture. This gives you a chance to add more details if you want a distinction.
4) Revise at another time
5) Maybe one more time for folks that want distinctions.

To me that's all you need.

The other BCH-Medicine thing is a very personal affair. If you've wanted to study medicine all your life, on no account should you back down. At least, give it your best shot. If it works out, well and good- if not, at least you gave it a good try.

Don't spend too much time thinking of making the right decision. Make the decision - then stick to it
i will never forget this sire!

EducationRe: 10 Pairs Of Difficult Courses To Study In Nigeria by sagaciousblog: 3:43pm On Jan 17, 2015
Whether it’s a tooth that needs to be pulled,
periodontal disease in need of treatment or a root
canal for alleviating pain, animals and pets require
dental care, too. Since animals cannot verbally say
what they need, regular check-ups and care by a
board-certified veterinary dentist may be all the
more important. Like other veterinarians, veterinary
dentists complete a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
(DVM) program, but then they go on to seek
specialty training in the field. In fact, dentistry is one
of the 22 specialty fields that is recognized by the
American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and
requires two to six years of specific training. The
residency prepares students for the process of board
certification, but students may need to complete
other advanced credential requirements to be able to
sit for the certifying exam.
Only when veterinarians have passed this exam do
they become board certified and gain the ability to
refer to themselves as a ‘diplomate’ of the American
Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) or of another
specialty. What do these board-certified veterinary
dentists do? As the Veterinary Dental Clinic, based
out of Stafford, Texas, points out, veterinary dentists
are responsible for a wide range of tasks, including
evaluating the mouth of both breeding and show
animals, removing oral tumors in bone and soft
tissue, saving teeth by use of a filling, root canal
procedure or crown, and treating any oral issues that
may be apparent from birth or be caused by injury.
Veterinary dentists also provide care for numerous
other conditions, such as abscessed teeth, gingivitis,
fractured teeth, malocclusions (the way the lower
and upper teeth fit together, or in the case of a
malocclusion, do not fit together), and stomatitis (or
inflammation inside of the mouth). Board-certified
veterinarians have the advantage of being able to
post their credential on their website or after their
name (as in ‘Diplomate AVDC) and also will be listed
on the AVDC website as either specializing in
dentistry for all animals or specifically for horses and
other equids.

well, I really dont think there are reasons to compare Dentistry/Medicine.I mean what's the point.although they study virtually same thing in Med school( maybe Dental students have few added course) ,that doesnt necessarily mean Some have it tougher in school.both are good. comparing both sometimes makes it look like some are feeling inferior to others!
About vet though, their matter no be her o.those guys are mad readers, they barely have a social life.I dey always respect them die grin
i wasnt comparing sir! He said we shoould give our list and reasons..dats exactly wat i did..thanks!
