Proeast2:No pun intended and this is not meant as a right or wrong assessment, but from your thought process you are either a teenager or in your early 20s. It's not meant as an insult I'm just trying to see if I can gauge your age bracket from your thought process. |
it means you will have 4 years of plenty, followed by another four years scarcity. And then 600 hundred years of (to be continued...) |
Shame on our army (even though they will claim they provided operational support) Shame on the government (even though they will claim they gave the green light) But above all SHAME ON OUR MEDIA (print and online) for just regurgitating foreign media reports and the state department press releases. For goodness sake you guys are the ones ground, get us the background story. Like: The name of the village in Niger state (or wherever) His acquaintances or those he worked with How long has he been there When was the last time he came back into the country (question our immigration services) For all we care the "missionary" might be a CIA asset in the area and the kidnap might be a transaction gone wrong. But for Pete's sake, let our media up their game and do their work. CNN, BBC and AJ should be reporting "according to local sources..." |
freshMallam1122:can you lots ever be satisfied? In life I have learnt to do what I do for myself and not to mind what others think |
Arrewa:The lowlifes are so myopic that they dont know the implications of what they are doing. Calling a spade a spade, ipob are tarnishing the igbos generally and if they dont tackle this malignant group now then they shall be viewed as implicitly supporting such provocations by the group |
interestingly some propagandists here were busy lying that Northerners were killing people in oyigbo. I thought to my self how is that possible. if something as dastardly as this can go unreported during such massive upheaval, only God knows how many Northerners are killed during secret attacks at normal times. well we are watching |
I saw some sickening pictures of people killed at oyigbo recently just wandering why hasn't it generated interest like the Lekki incident. is it because it is not those we like? #Justiceforoyigbomassacre |
If this is true then this is the height of hipocracy as all other media houses turned a blind eye since it's a mosque that was burnt. You can see some people above claiming fake news yet we all saw how the Lekki issue was blown out of proportion |
If you know the situation of education especially in the North east, you would know this guy is a professor who knows what he is doing - addressing the root of the problem. I envy Borno state, their previous governor was good this one is even better. NB. if you are looking for directionless leadership in the North then look no further than Niger state. In fact the entire north central states are nothing to write home about as far as impactful governance is concerned |
I know our so called leaders are the worst scum on the face of the earth. But are we not out doing them in this race for rascality? "If you see something wrong do something, but if you can't then say something if that also fails then despise it in your heart...." We are better than this Nigerian youth, even though this is what they want to turn us to |
this is becoming senseless. yet if the military guys apprehend one of them and starts flogging him, we are still the same people that will scream BRUTAL |
I think the protest needs goals SMART Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Time bound and also a universally accepted theme North and South. I defended the protesters here in the North but when it began to lose focus I had to recalibrate |
I dont think so. There are some monikers here posting same long comments about how this whole thing is Northern plans to divide south for the past 3 days. That thing is either an automated bot, or that dude must be some kind monotonous poster, because that is the only thing he posts. The army may be more inclined to tracking and nipping the sources of these kind of propaganda rather than engaging in some kind of online chit chat. |
are we incapable of critical thinking. Just because people are asking common sense questions or critiquing a version of a story doesn't make them antagonists. The government would most likely be tracking and tracing sources of fake news and nipping them rather than engaging in tit for tat on social platforms |
thebosstrevor1:I don't understand |
Some times you just feel like giving up on this country |
SalamRushdie:I think it's the dark side of human nature, we all have it. while some control theirs some are controlled by theirs. |
PenuelFarms:read my post I am not against the hashtags |
ok |
I am not here to debate the cause of this mess we are in now - that's a subject for another day. The wanton stealing and destruction ongoing in some parts of the country is worrisome. And more curious is 3 days into it there is no concerted calls from any quarters for the perpetrators to cease and desist, all what we here is condemnation of use of force on protesters (dont get me wrong, that was wrong in itself) but are the people on the streets looting still protesters? why are the security forces maligned and labeled brutal whenever they go after these rogues who are still referred to as protesters? From my observations of global affairs over the recent times whenever a country is marked for destruction certain interests (especially external) promote a one sided story for their own end! Pleas let's be thoughtful. On a sidenote, I now many agitations are being pushed by citizens #endsars #endbadgovernance even agitations for cessation I have no problems with all of the above so long it is not done illegally. But please note when an external interest is championing your cause then know that you are just a means to their own end. Ask Libya, Iraq, Yaman, Syria. Let's not ever hand our grievances to external actors. Let's look ourselves eyeball to eyeball and solve it what ever it may be. God bless the country |
This video has been out there for years and it was of OBJ. what do you guys gain for spreading misinformation |
really dude! The north that your ilks so fondly taunt as illiterate and backward will mount such a sophisticated and well coordinated online propaganda. If its not to much to ask lets both pray that may God expose and destroy the enemies fanning this flame (Amin) |
NGpatriot:I think this is a global Phenomenon (or call it a pandemic). There is a saying in islam that in the last days people will be killed without the killer having any reason to kill nor the killed knowing why he was killed - Chaos. May God ease our affairs and return peace to the land |
XXXXTENTACION:Actually I think this thread is necessary. It is created to counter the false basis on which this mess was started on. People were worked up using fake pictures on the night of the 20th of october - This motivated more protest, emboldened thugs and demoralised the security forces. Note: It is not a claim that no one was killed - far from it. But rather the burden of proof is on the claimants (This will enable justice to be served) |
If they cant verify such news then post like this needs to go to FP to alert people of prevalence of unverified news out there. I had to reproach a friend some minutes ago who posted a video that happened somewher in Africa in our private chatroom claiming it was in Nigeria |
just imagine this guy above me |
Tempers are high and nerves are frayed, but amidst all these fake news thrives. I have seen a lot of threads debunking the allegations of people declared dead: https://www.nairaland.com/6195610/governor-sanwo-olu-maybe-right-all Sighting of ex lagos governor in paris https://www.nairaland.com/6196508/tinubu-france-deji-adeyanju-caught Note I am not confirming nor debunking these claims only a call to nairalad.com that with more power comes more responsibility |
SoBright101:Unfortunately most people dont know how to consume information or use the internet. They believe everything hook, line and sinker. Beware of "they said... he said.." |
Seriousgbege:Such effontery! I guess this is evidence that all your ilks want to see is anarchy. You have the temerity to accuse the North of cyber rascality which ipob is so notorious for. Suddenly ipob online hate machine has gone quiet. why is that? obviously they've gone overdrive in impersonation of Northerners and fuelling the fire. Anarchy is indeed a sleeping dog and may God curse whoever wakes her. |
hmm |
