SportsDiego Costa Hit With Three-match Ban by saint047(op): 2:25pm On Jan 30, 2015
"Diego Costa will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after a charge of violent conduct against him was found proven by an Independent Regulatory Commission on Friday 30 January 2015," an FA statement read.

"The Chelsea forward had denied the charge in relation to an on-field incident involving Liverpool's Emre Can which occurred in the 12th minute of the League Cup semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 27 January 2015.

"The incident was not seen by the match officials but caught on video."

The news is a huge blow to Chelsea ahead of Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Costa is also set to miss out on the trip to Aston Villa on February 7 and the home match with Everton four days later.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho defended Costa after the game and the ban is sure to irk the Portuguese, who stated the coming together with Can was "accidental".

Mourinho said: "Maybe you [the media] are already influenced by the campaign on the television with certain pundits saying that Costa has crimes - they must be nuts, the guy who says that.

"I have to say that he goes for the ball, he chases it, the opponent [Can] goes to the floor and he puts his foot there when he is looking at the ball... What you call stamps, and Sky calls crimes, I have to say accidental."

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers took a different view of the incident, and called for the FA  to take action.

"These things happen in the game but I think anyone watching it would not like to see what we've seen Diego Costa do," Rodgers told Sky Sports.

"Not just on Martin Skrtel but on Emre Can, a young player who was clearly stamped on. You don't want to see that. There's no need for it."

Costa has proven an instant hit at Stamford Bridge, scoring 17 Premier League goals since joining in a big-money move from Atletico Madrid in the close-season.

However, his on-field behaviour has come under the spotlight due to Costa picking up eight bookings in all competitions, including a caution in a 6-3 win at Everton in August where he squared up to goalkeeper Tim Howard.

PoliticsA Complicated Educational Background Of A Presidentail Aspirant. by saint047(op): 6:42pm On Jan 22, 2015
Each time officials and supporters of the APC come on radio and television to defend Buhari’s lack of compliance, they always flip-flop and come out thoroughly wet. That is what happens when you try to defend the indefensible. In one breath, they will say Buhari has been contesting presidential elections since 2003, why should the certificate become an issue now. They fail to realise that before now, the opposition was an easy ride for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The same thing cannot be said for the APC of today, which stands a very good chance, just as the PDP, of winning the presidential election. It is a different ball game. The fact that nobody cared to look before is no justification to question why they are looking now. That Nigerians now take academic qualification so serious is not in doubt. That was what led Salisu Buhari, a brilliant young man from Kano, to lose his seat as the first Speaker of the House of Representatives in 1999. The same certificate scandals have shadowed former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu and others. We will not come to Buhari, a man who once ruled this country and could get elected in next month’s election, and waive it.If Buhari forces his way to contest the presidential election without complying with the constitution and the electoral law, he will have trodden rough-shod on our laws. His government will be an illegitimate one. He will lack the locus to swear any oath with our constitution. If he cannot comply with the requirements of the constitution to contest for election where will he obtain the legal or moral backing to swear the oath to defend the constitution?Besides, what will the young people think of their president whose academic records are shrouded in mystery? Will they be inspired to go to school? Or will they believe that all it takes is for you to muscle your way like a thug into any position? What will the world see of a Nigerian president with questionable educational background? A country that produced Prof. Philip Emeagwali, Prof. Wole Soyinka and Prof. Chinua Achebe among others? Dr. Kwame Nkrumah once rebuked Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo: “You won independence for your country and handed it over to cattle-rearers”.Here we go again, and some people are clapping!

PoliticsWho Are The Politicians? by saint047(op): 10:23am On Jan 17, 2015
Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from Nigerian parents and Nigerian families, Nigerian homes, Nigerian schools, Nigerian churches/mosques, Nigerian businesses and Nigerian universities, and they are elected by Nigerian citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Nigerians. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here...Like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck Hope!

HealthEffects Of Cold Water After Meal: by saint047(op): 9:04am On Jan 02, 2015
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. You may have been believing dat it is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. Be warned! The cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer.

It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. A serious note about heart attacks - you should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.
