AC Milan legend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his retirement at the age of 41.

Ibrahimovic has spent the majority of the season injured, but made a trip to the San Siro to watch AC Milan's final Serie A game on Sunday, May 4.

However, after the game, the big Swede made his way onto the pitch to address the crowd.

The 41-year-old's AC Milan contract expires at the end of June and he had already announced he would not be renewing it following an injury-plagued season.

Speaking on the pitch at full-time, Ibrahimovic said: "I have so many memories and lived so many emotions in here, the first time I arrived here you gave me happiness. The second time love.

Ibrahimovic, Sweden's all-time top scorer with 62 goals in 121 matches, quit the national team after Euro 2016 but returned in 2021 for their unsuccessful World Cup qualifying campaign.

He helped the Dutch giants to win the Eredivisie in his first campaign in Amsterdam before leaving for Juventus after four years. After Juve were relegated following a match-fixing scandal, the Swede joined Inter Milan, where he won three successive Serie A titles.

About 37 people have reportedly been killed and many others injured in attacks on three communities in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State over their alleged refusal to pay the ‘levies’ imposed by the terrorists.

Sources in one of the communities said the terrorists also dispersed sympathisers who came to perform burial rites for the deceased.

According to Daily Trust, the communities attacked are Raka, Raka Dutse, and Filin Gawa.

Witnesses told the publication that the bandits attacked the communities on Saturday evening, June 3, 2023.


The immediate past chairman of the area, Bashar Kalenjeni said 18 people were killed at Raka, 17 at Filin Gawa, and two at Raka Dutse.

“We wanted to bury them in the night, but the bandits came back and dispersed us. As at this morning, the deceased are still there unburied," Kalenjeni said.

According to him, the "offence" of the villagers was their refusal to pay levies imposed on their communities.

The bandits imposed levies on their communities, which was meant to take charge with immediate effect, and also dictating to residents on what to and not to do.

“But the villagers refused to succumb and because of that they attacked them, killing 37 persons while several others sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries and currently receiving treatment at General Hospital, Gwadabawa,” he said.

"There are others who are still unaccounted for. Right now, we are waiting for security operatives to lead us to the villages in order to bury the dead ones,” he added.

Of course I don't dress indecent said my mind, so I decide to take a close look at it again, saw pictures of guy in rugged jeans, ladies in mini skirts all mark X. Then another image caught my attention, it was a picture of a guy on dregs also Mark X. I touch my hair cause I do carry dregs and also barb my galaxy hair style. Na so I stylishly leave the premises to avoid further insult from the authorities while inside the church. I kuku ma run home.

The 70-year-old former coach was among the 20,532 students that graduated from the university in 2023. He enrolled in the degree programme out of his passion for education after his retirement as a football coach.

Duamlong, who studied painting at the University, made the list of 112 students who bagged first class.

56 rogue side operators and 15 other suspects comprising of students, a school proprietor and teachers have been arrested over their involvement in examination Malpractice in the ongoing 2023 May/June Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

Head of National Office, Nigeria (HNO) of West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), Patrick Areghan, said the arrest was made in Maiduguri, Ibadan, Abeokuta and Umuahia. The suspects will be handed to police and will also be paraded at national televisions.


Areghan said;

“We are not interested in failing students but interested in seeing them pass but the only thing is we cannot help them to pass, we only encourage them by telling them what to and not to do. We are talking to them to make sure they don’t involve in examination malpractice.

“We have arrested students. In Ibadan, we arrested a supervisor, candidates and other groups. In Maiduguri, supervisors and candidates were arrested, while in Abeokuta a school proprietor who started it (examination malpractice) from the beginning of the examination was arrested along others. In Osogbo, a candidate and supervisor and so many others in Umuahia too who are involved in the illegal act were arrested.

“We have gone further by identifying and arresting the rogue operators involved in malpractice unlike last year.

“Do not copy what your mate is writing because there is nothing that will make you write the same thing. If you rely on cheating that means you have failed and we want you to pass.”

Legendary Mexican actor, Sergio Calderón has died at the age of 77.

The star, known for his work in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Men In Black - passed away in Los Angeles on Wednesday, May 31. His family revealed that Calderón died in hospital from natural causes.
The Mexican actor had a career spanning six decades and starred in more than 40 Hollywood films.



One of his best-known roles was as Captain Vallenueva, where he starred alongside Johnny Depp in the 2007 movie Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End.

He also famously played the 'head on a stick' held by an alien in the 1997 movie, Men in Black.

In an interview just days before his death, he admitted he ‘loves’ playing villainous characters.

He told The Los Angeles Times: 'I love to play those types of characters, because people really hate me.

'They tell me in the streets how much they hate me. But to me, that is my success. Because that means I was able to convince people with what I performed.'


Calderón was born in a small tropical village in Mexico and moved to Mexico City aged 10 where he developed a love of performing after taking part in a poetry reading.

52 members of the Biafra Zionist Front (BZF) led by Benjamin Onwuka, who were arrested in Enugu on May 30, while allegedly on their way to hoist the Biafra flag inside the Enugu Government House, have been remanded in Enugu Correctional facility.

The Pro-Biafra agitators had concluded a procession near the Okpara Square and were marching to the Government House when they were arrested.

They were arraigned at the Enugu Magistrate Court Wednesday, May 31, and remanded in prison alongside their leader Benjamin Onwuka.

This is reportedly the third time in recent years that the Ben Onwuka-led BZF had attempted to gain access to the Enugu House failing on each occasion. They had also in the past allegedly tried to seize the Enugu Broadcasting Service but were stopped by the police. One of their members was shot dead in the process.
