A University of Nigeria Nsukka [UNN] Lecturer took his students unaware during an Economics examination. He sets an unimmaginary question in number 4 which took the students off ground.
The question goes does.

"You voted for your choice candidate during the last election but unfortunately your mandate was allegedly stolen . Assuming your choice Presidential Candidate later wins the court case and he invites you to a dinner to give him some Obidient Economic Blueprint on How to Develop the Nigerian Economy Rapidly . The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has raised an alarm of ponmo now being dangerous for Nigerians to consume following the outbreak of Anthrax in some neighbouring countries within the West African sub-region.

Nigerians have been asked to desist from the consumption of hides (ponmo), smoked meat and bush meat as they pose serious risk until the situation is brought under control.

The anthrax outbreak was first recorded in northern Ghana bordering Burkina Faso and Togo putting the whole sub-region at risk.

The statement read;

“The disease which has claimed some lives, is a bacterial disease that affects both animals and man, that is a zoonotic disease. Anthrax spores are naturally found in the soil and commonly affect domestic and wild animals.

“People can get infected with Anthrax spores if they come in contact with infected animals or contaminated animal products. However, Anthrax is not a contagious disease and so, one cannot get it by coming in close contact with an infected person.“Signs of anthrax are flu- like symptoms such as cough, fever, muscle aches and if not diagnosed and treated early, lead to pneumonia, severe lung problems, difficulty in breathing, shock and death."

Nigerians have also been warned against closeness to non-vaccinated animals with Anthrax as it can easily be transmitted to man through the inhalation of Anthrax spores including consumption of contaminated/Infected animal products, such as hides and skin, meat or milk.

Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi is now the acting Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Shonubi was born on the 7th of March, 1962. He attended the University of Lagos from 1978 to 1983 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Thereafter he obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 with bias in Production Engineering from the same University.

From 1988-1989 he shifted grounds to Finance and obtained a Masters’ in Business Administration specializing in Finance. He began his working experience as a Consultant Engineer at Mek-ind Associates and worked from 1984 to 1989. From 1989 to 1990, he was a Marketing Executive at Inlaks Computers Limited.

He moved to Citibank Nigeria Limited as Head, Treasury Operations from 1990 to 1993. He joined Agusto & Co. Ltd as a Supervising Consultant from 1993 to 1996 from where he moved to MBC International Limited as Deputy General Manager, Banking Operations & Information Technology from 1999. In 1999, he joined First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited as Vice-President, Operations & Information Technology and was there till 2002.

In 2003, he moved from FCMB to Ecobank Nigeria Plc as an Executive Director, Operations & Information Technology and in 2007 he became the Director, Information Technology and Corporate Services, Renaissance Securities Nigeria Limited. He was recruited by Union Bank of Nigeria Limited as an Executive Director, Operations, Technology and Services, September 2009 to April 2012.

He became the Managing Director/CEO, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc from May 2012 to October 2018. October 2018 to date, Mr. Folashodun is the Deputy Governor, Operations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) representing the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria on the Board of FIRS since the 9th of December, 2019. He is married with children.

Award-winning Akwa Ibom MC, Imaan Mike Umoh, has claimed that the wedding he was supposed to anchor next weekend in Uyo, has been called off because the bride-to-be allegedly slept with her sugar daddy, said to be an immediate past Commissioner in the state.

“NEXT WEEKEND WEDDING CALLED OFF. So the would be wife went to inform her sugar daddy who was to be the chairman, immediate past commissioner and they decided to tatatat but unfortunate she met her water low,” he narrated on Friday, June 9, 2023.

"According to the man, he called her would be wife while she was KUÑking the man and she wanted to silent the phone but unfortunately she pressed the finger print who's settings was also to answer calls and continue with her act of knacking the upcoming event chairman. He wanted to got the call but when the background was interesting he decided to record the tone.

"The guy said that the annoying part is when she was screaming in her dialect like " O adeade kuñ itud amiade, Baby kuñ mien, Baby tòooo, Baby bom, Ima nwad mien oo, ufan Fu*k meoooo.

"Finally, she came back home with a cheque of 1 million Naira and the guy pretended as nothing happened and went to the Bank were they transferred to her account and she letter forwarded to him and he has taken that as part of the money spent. According to him, he has spent over 3.6 million. Mind you, the guy is very very rich.

“The guy is wicked ooo. He asked her to join him has he wishes to pay their tithe to the pastor and broke the news of calling the wedding off when he played the recording to the pastor and his wife to listen. My balance has been sent and I am sad. Please pray for that sister and usher in more than 10k audience in Uyo. ”

A Catechist from St. Martins Parish Mbape in Adikpo deanery, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue state, is on the run following the death of a young lady suspected to be his lover.

The catechist identified as Oliver Vershima was caught around 7 pm on Sunday evening, June 4, 2023, while attempting to dispose of the lady’s body.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, a native from the community, Terhemba, said the suspect, who was assigned to work at St. Augustine Zone, Jov Mbahura, concealed the woman's body inside his room after she died during attempt to terminate her pregnancy.

“On questioning him, it was discovered that he (Oliver) had impregnated the lady and they tried to terminate the pregnancy but in the process, the lady lost her life early hours of the day,” he explained.

The catechist then hid the dead body inside his room until nightfall so he could take the body out of the village and possibly run away.

"Unfortunately for him, he was caught while trying to carry the body out of the village but he later escaped in the melee,” Terhemba added.

Terhemba said the identity of the lady was yet to be ascertained, adding that she came from a neighbouring community.

Spokesperson for the State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident to Punch, said that the corpse of the lady had been recovered and deposited at the hospital morgue.

“Corpse of the said young girl who was said to have visited her man friend was recovered and taken to the mortuary after a report was received but the said Oliver is yet to be seen as he brought the corpse out of his room and ran away,”

The PPRO said that the investigation is ongoing.

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers killed a man identified as Tor Kwamande in Gondozua community, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State and kidnapped his wife.

A resident of the community, Tee Brains, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Monday, June 5, 2023, said the gunmen stormed Kwamande's compound, shot him dead and whisked his wife away.

He shared a photo of the couple on Tuesday, June 6.
