obailala: My Ikechi, no apologies but you are irredeemably daft character. You claim GEJ handed over power generation of over 4000mw, no body argues with you about the installed power generating capacity of the country. After all, the power generating capacity in the country today is over 5000mw, but the issue being discussed is how much of power is actually being generated. As at the time of GEJ's handover in May 2015, power generation in the country fell to as low as 1327mw, just the same way it fell to 2000mw and even zero recently (the excuse has always been pipeline vandalism). So quit being a dafto by posting links to news reports of 2014 when I have already presented more recent debunking reports from 2015. Regarding the links I sent you, your exbitch obviously bleeped the last brains out of your skull reducing you to a screwed rettard, else I do not understand what the links I posted have to do with your dumb exbitch. I have a good memory of what happened to power generation in May 2015 (it's less than a year ago) and all I needed to do was a simple google search to dig up those links. If you truly saw the links I posted on this site, then I am probably the one who first used the links to deflate the ignorance of someone like you. Yes babe you sound just like my ex вιт¢н, always nagging. You need two things in your life 1. You need to grow up 2. You need a long dick |

ba7man: So what if he left 4000mw of electricity?
Did your thought process skip the fact that 1 dynamite placed on a gas pipeline will reduce that to 2000mw in 1 min?
Thanks to Niger delta vandals. Phew..... Sleep dey catch me. We no get light for almost one week now, but everywhere dey quiet cos every body generator dey on holiday thanks to fuel scarcity. Its a little windy outside so am going to take my mattress outside, am sleeping outside tonight while the breeze is still free. So good night my friend, its been fun arguing with you. |

obailala: If you read closely to all my arguments on this thread and all my other arguments on this forum, there is something which is very consistent in my stance; I have never absolved any government of the incompetence tag, rather my responses are always a direct response to some misinformed falsehoods which people like yourself deliberately come up with everyday declaring that GEJ was a saint who turned Nigeria to Dubai and Buhari changed everything overnight. Sometimes you do it out of mischief to deceive people (probably you think we're still having elections) and at other times, you innocently do it out of sheer ignorance or selective amnesia.
Now regarding the issue of power generation, it is the bolded part of your message that keeps bringing me back to Nairaland to deflate your lies; you tell yourself a lie too often and then you begin to believe your own lie and you eventually succeed in deceiving loads of unsuspecting gullible people like yourself with your lies. You keep insisting on this fable that GEJ gave you efficient power supply and that Buhari came in and changed it all overnight and I keep wondering what planet you were living in when was GEJ ruling Nigeria. Love they say is truly blind, and your love for GEJ obviously blinded your eyes, your objectivity and it has smeared your memory. Below is a report to refresh your mind and release you from the bondage of deceit you have locked yourself in:
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html http://allafrica.com/stories/201505250099.html http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/weekly/index.php/new-news/20565-power-supply-may-fall-below-1-327mw-fg
It was a regular occurrence for power to drop drastically to less than 3000mw under GEJ, as a matter of fact, just at the week of handover, there was a major drop and GEJ handed over a nation generating 1327mw. The excuse for the erratic fluctuating supply has always been the same, under GEJ it was 'sabotage of gas pipelines' and under Buhari, 'sabotage of fuel pipeline' is still used as the excuse. How you came about this your strange argument that power was excellent under GEJ with generation maintained at over 4000mw is totally strange to me and any discerning mind. The fact is that the nation has a rotten power infrastructure which needs a total overhaul; Buhari inherited this rotten system and it is foolish of anyone to say Buhari is responsible for the rottenness of the system which he inherited.
Just to educate you a bit, between the months of February and May EVERY YEAR, Nigeria usually has the poorest power supply because hydro dams are dry and the prevailing heat wave in this period necessitates high power demand (A/Cs and cold water demand). The high power demand and the low supply forces even functioning power plants to shutdown leading to even poorer power supply within these months. The whole situation reverses between end-May and August when the rainy season peaks cos hydro dams are returned to full efficiency and demand for power reduces (less A/Cs and cold water demanded). Within this period, Nigerians start celebrating steady power and attributing it to body language or whatever. This is a constant cycle which happens every single year, just in case you haven't noticed it.
Regarding fuel scarcities, I dont need to remind you that Nigeria suffered the most scathing and crippling fuel scarcity under GEJ and that was because importers weren't paid their entitlements for almost a year; at the time, the FG was already borrowing to pay workers' salaries . I suppose I don't need to remind you the debt was due to the shortage of cash attributable to the drop in oil prices?
Finally, stop exposing further ignorance about the cause of the forex scarcity. By now even primary school pupils understand the impact of the negative balance of trade caused by an almost 70% drop in forex revenue due to the fall in oil prices. Inflow of forex to the country has been reducing drastically since late 2014 when oil prices began to crash. The FG was dipping it's hands into the CBN forex reserves and the reserves fell from $38bn to $28bn in 6 months (Oct 2014 to May 2015). At that rate, it became necessary to implement restrictions on distribution of forex to prevent reserves from zeroing. I understand you hate president Buhari with a deep passion, but kindly use your God given intelligence for once. I am tired of arguing with a person who has allowed his prejudice for the president to becloud his discernment abilities. See how you dey display your ignorance for nairaland. With many words you want to deceive nairalanders, it is a known fact that "empty vessels makes the loudest noise. I insist that GEJ left around 4000 mw of power when he left office. Let me educate you with this link. http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/nigeria-power-generation-hits-2-year-high/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwic2Kn_pIfMAhVJKywKHZd6BWsQFggPMAA&usg=AFQjCNFDCCqK_-FE92RwdeTbBOclIs9fEQPlease read it to the end it was in September 2014 and this other link is way back in April 2014. http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.channelstv.com/2014/04/23/nigeria-power-generation-hits-4100mw/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwic2Kn_pIfMAhVJKywKHZd6BWsQFggZMAM&usg=AFQjCNHo7_ZesG5LXLWO8BfHrBTjuG6tIwYou can Thank me later. |

obailala: Such an unintelligent fellow you are It is really sad knowing that humans within this same Nigeria could be as unintelligent as you are.
You claim GEJ gave Nigeria power constantly above 4000mw, I gave you 2 newspaper links from May 2015 which disprove your point by highlighting a case of power falling to 1327mw just before GEJ handed over. You return with a rebuttal by sharing a link from September 6, 2014 which states that power peaked at 4044mw. Now this link you shared from 2014 says power peaked at a two year high of 4,044mw, but I am yet to understand why your brain interpreted a peak of 4044mw to mean that it was constantly above 4000mw and never goes below that value.
And then again, what do you mean by saying I 'borrowed links'?... The links I shared with you are obtainable in seconds via a simple google search, so what do you mean by 'borrowed links' and what does that have to do with 'woman'?.... Are you mentally okay or is this just your way of being so unintelligent? No ßĪŦƇĤ that link was used by someone else who quoted me before your dumb ass borrowed it. I only sent you a link to help you understand that by September 2014 we already hit 4000mw. And the black out you experienced prior to Jonathan's handover was caused by pipe line vandalism. Mind you, it did not affect the entire country Like what we are seeing now. Think before you quote me, cos you remind me of my ex ßĪŦƇĤ. . |

Nusaf: Those countries u mentioned are not badly hit by the present crash in global oil price because their past leaders had foresight and had saved for the rainy days. Can the same be said of Nigeria under GEJ and his predecessors? That is why I said that the problem with Nigeria is incompetence and bad administrators. |
