PoliticsRe: President Buhari's Address On EndSARS Protests (Full Text) by salimbaba664(m): 7:29pm On Oct 22, 2020
He didn't even give a strong warning to looters and vandals. No compensation plan for anybody anyone who suffer one way or the other, not even the police. He should have announced something for everyone.
The only sensible thing he said to the youth was that "Your message has been heard loud and clear"
PoliticsRe: President Buhari Addresses Nigerians On EndSARS Protests (Live Updates) by salimbaba664(m): 7:27pm On Oct 22, 2020
Who are the handlers of this Buhari. What a speech! It was badly edited. Badly presented and he didn't mention the shooting in Lekki. Didn't condole the victims but only the police. He didn't mention any policy. He only romance the issue.

He didn't even give a strong warning to looters and vandals. No compensation plan for anyone who suffer one way or the other, not even the police. He should have announced something for everyone.
The only sensible thing he said was to the youth is that "Your message has been heard loud and clear"

Kingdemu:
When the destiny of this nation was being squandered, you kept quiet.

$2.1billion arm money siphoned, you kept quiet.

$20billion missing in NNPC, you kept quiet.

They looted our foreign reserve from 62 down to $28.9 billion, you kept quiet.

Malabu oil deal , you kept quiet.

When militants were blowing our oil away you were clapping for them.

When all the monies budgeted for roads were embezzled with nothing to show, you kept quiet.

They showed you how much was stolen under NDDC you kept quiet.

You kept quite when the issue of $16billion power contract was mentioned!

Today you have the audacity to criticize a man who is building more infrastructures with less resources?

A man who is embarking on the biggest Social Investment Program in Africa.

A man who reduced Boko Haram attacks from 10 States to 3 States.

Please Let's fear God.
Fear God kill you there.
You forgot to mention how the price of 1 bag of rice increase. The price of 1 litre of petrol increase. Even sachet tomato increase from 50 to 100.
What sort of fear God are you talking about.

As at the last time I checked the inec portal, any serious person can sit down, find a computer and compute the result. 60% of the polling units results are now on the portal. So, let our youths stop the argument and keep themselves busy with the computing if they really want to start jubilation.

PoliticsRe: SGF Office Gets N16bn For Constituency Projects In 2019 Budget - SaharaReporters by salimbaba664(m):
AGENCIES under the office of the SGF.

The following Agencies are directly under the supervision of the SGF
1 National Identity Management Commission
2 Federal Road Safety Corps
3 Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission
4 National Energy Council
5 National Hajj Commission of Nigeria
6 National Lottery Trust Fund
7 National Agency for the Control of Aids
8 Nigeria National Merit Award
9 National Lottery Regulatory Commission
10 Bureau of Public Enterprises
11 Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission
12 National Agency for the Control of Aids
13 New Partnership for African Development
14 National Commission for Refugees
15 ServiCom
16 Federal Character Commission
17 Mobilization, Allocation & Fiscal Commission
18 Nigerian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI)
19 Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC)
20 National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission
21 National Pension Commission
22 Border Communities Development Agency

Now, what law makers do is to put their projects under any of these agencies.
This was put in place so that government will not give the law makers the allocated money directly.
It is at the discretion of the individual lawmaker to choose which agency will executive his or her project.
The project will now be allowed to pass through the due process of public procurement and the contract awarded by the agency involved.
Now, what they do is to bargain with the agency they are using for some part of the contract money by manipulating the procurement procedure and making sure they have a cut from the money. This the so in collaboration with the contractor and the agencies.

El-Zakzaky requests immediate return to Nigeria over pathetic situation of Indian hospital
14/Aug/2019, 13:19ripplesnigeria.com

The leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has requested to be returned to a Nigerian hospital as the condition at the Indian hospital he was taken to was worse than that of Nigeria.
El-Zakzaky spoke on Wednesday in an audio message that went viral.
Recall that the cleric leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), and wife, Zeenat, were flown to India two days ago in order to access better medical treatment.
Both of them have been detained since December 2015 after a clampdown by soldiers who killed at least 347 IMN members.
In the audio message, El-Zakzaky accused the Nigerian government of frustrating his medical treatment in India.
The Shi’ites leader spoke in Hausa language in the tape.
He said the hospital in India is in a “pathetic and worrisome situation.”
He also alleged that the management of Medanta Hospital, New Delhi, had been threatened not to admit him for treatment.
“The hospital officials received us well, they told us that they parked two ambulance vehicles, deceiving the crowd while taking us out through another way, saying that it was for our own safety.
“On getting to the hospital, we are placed under a tighter security situation worse than what we have been witnessing in Nigeria. We are currently more confined than when we were in Nigeria, worse than prison setting.
“Contrary to what was agreed before our arrival, that our own personal doctors would supervise this treatment. Now they’ve changed the arrangement. So, we objected receiving treatment from strange doctors without the supervision of our own trusted physicians,’’ he noted.

In the audio, the IMN leader, however, requested to be taken back to Nigeria in order to scout for a reliable and trusted hospital among the countries that offered help.
“There are some other countries that volunteered to help which include Malaysia, (and) Turkey,’’ he added.

I have been interacting with the youths of today. They know nothing about themselves not to talk of the country. This information is not so special cause I have read about it long ago even as am just 30.
I can even relate the story of the Nigerian civil war from different perspectives as if am there even though I was not born during the period. There was a book by Alexander A. Madeibo or something who relate it from the Igbo perspective. There is another one from a Yoruba Journalist who uses a different perspective.
Let us be reading. Am sure there are books where this can be found. I recommend the book by Major Ademoyega, Why we Struck to the you to go and read.

Removing someone like Taofik Abdulsalam to be replace by one ineffective Buffon call Fatai Olotu popularly call Orege in Akoko North East is so gross. Aketi will end up creating more enemies in Ikare Akoko land. This same Fatai Olotu was rejected tru a protest vote by the people of the area when he contested for the house of assembly. A place where APC won both the Presidential and National Assembly elections. We are all watching.
PoliticsPDP Considers Dogara As Minority Leader. by salimbaba664(op): 9:21am On Jun 17, 2019
• Asks lawmakers to submit leadership list by tomorrow

• APC meets this week to appoint N’ Assembly principal officers

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mandated its members in the House of Representatives to select their principal officers and inform the party of their decision today.

The party, according to a reliable THISDAY source, met the House members last Friday and mandated them to select their principal officers like the Senate had done in a cordial atmosphere.

However, THISDAY gathered that former speaker of the House, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, is being tipped as the natural choice to fill the slot of minority leader.
“In any case, as former speaker, he has assumed leadership naturally and has been the one co-ordinating our members in the House,” a reliable party source said, adding: “He is good to get it except he declines the offer.”

According to a source that spoke with THISDAY, the meeting was presided over by the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, saying the party chose the option to avoid allegation of imposition of the PDP principal officers on members.

“At the meeting, the party’s members of the House were in attendance and the party directed that they should meet on their own and inform the NWC of those chosen before Tuesday. The party does not want to be accused of any preferential treatment,” the source stated.

The source said the Tuesday deadline was given because of pressure from the National Assembly leadership that is waiting for the minority inputs into its committees it has set up to treat some assignments, including allocation of offices and committees chairmanship and membership.

Although the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is yet to appoint its leadership of both chambers, the source said this is not an issue since the party already has the Senate president.

It was gathered that two members of the House of Representatives from Delta State, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and Dr. Ossai Ossai, are also angling for minority leader.

The minority leader in the eigth House of Representatives was Dr. Leo Ogor, who did not return to the ninth Assembly.

Last week, after a three-hour meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) with its senators, the party announced Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (Abia State) as the Senate minority leader; Senator Emmanuel Bwacha (Taraba State) as deputy minority leader; while Senator Philip Aduda (FCT) was picked as minority whip and Senator Clifford Ordia (Edo State) got deputy minority whip.
