Hmmm

Since Baba's swearing in:

Nemadi Sambo underwent a knee surgery.

Alison Maduake has been undergoing chemotherapy.

Former Amnesty boss had a hamstring and even broke a leg.

Obanikoro has been taking GST classes in a university in the US and can't miss a lecture for the whole world.

Former PDP leader appeared in court a cripple.

Ananih has been in the operating room for surgeries we know nothing about.

Former Nimasa boss appears in court half crippled.

I wonder what pictures we'd be seeing next, perhaps them pretending to be mad men. Terrible what Magu has caused.

Smh.

Nairaland / General / Six Types Of People You Meet In The Banking Hall. by salmankahn(m): 9:01am On Oct 24, 2014
SIX TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU MEET IN THE
BANKING HALL.
1 - The Pen Borrowers: They are always in the bank, common pen they won't have. These pple are very dangerous, once u borrow them d pen, u may find it difficult 2 identify dem, At a bank
in Nigeria, once someone tells u "may I've ur pen?" Believe me bros, that's d last time u will see that pen (except if u're lucky).
2 - The "I dey ur Back" Team: Immediately dey enter d bank, even b4 taking d slip (withdrawal or deposit) all they do is to know the last person and u hear dem saying, I'm at your back. If care is nt taken, abt 8 pple can tell u "I
dey ur back" then at d end of d day, they cause confusion (na me dey hin back,I don tell am I was here b4 u blah blah)
3 - The No protocol team: This kind of pple don't obey d 1st come, 1st served slogan! They're mouthed in d bank! Immediately they come in, they just walk up 2 d cashier or manager, he asks them 2 sit down & within 5 mins they've completed there transactions while u
still dey there looking like mumu 4queue.(Daris God oooo)
4 - The Bank Door rejectees: These pple will always av a problem with d bank door, then u see them removing their belts, car keys, mobile phones etc and yet d machine keeps shouting
"pls go back" . My bros next time come
2 bank naked! Biko, he go allow u in... # LOL!
5 - The slip wasters: These kind of pple can waste slip 4 Nigeria! To fill the withdrawal slip or deposit slip na JAMB questions,u c dem cancelling, tearing, squeezing & take another one. To write common 3780 Naira in words
na gobe. Even d so called undergraduates are found wanting in this scenario......................
...........CHAI!!!
6 - The pple from Another Planet: These pple usually behave like them no dey dis world since 2 yrs! They will always b asking 4 today's date,
even after telling them d correct date, they will ask some1 else again. I tire 4 dis pple oooooo............
PLS WHICH NUMBER U FALL IN D

Nairaland / General / My Pastor And The Divine Message by salmankahn(m): 5:06pm On Oct 20, 2014
When I was a kid, my dad bought a new car and drove us to
church one Sunday. It was a prophetic service and our pastor was being
used by God that day to deliver people from poverty.
Suddenly, our pastor looked at my dad and said; "Mr Okonkwo, God is set
to bless you" my mum jumped up and shouted excitedly; "Amen!!!"
My dad was excited too.
The pastor then came closer, placed his hand on my dad's head and prayed for him. As our pastor turned to climb the alter, the
spirit of God told him something. He stopped, looked at my
dad and said;
"Mr Okonkwo did you buy a new car last week?" "yes sir"
my dad responded with much surprise on his face.
Then our pastor said;
"God said I should tell you to sow your CAR KEY into my life"
I was shocked that my dad did not argue with the pastor, he just put his hand in his pocket, brought out the car key and gave to our pastor.
Chai,,,, Chineeekeeee...
After about 5 minutes, my dad stood up, went outside the church, he didn't even wait till the end of the service. I could see him entering Okada going home.
"He must be very worried" I reasoned in utter fear and confusion.
After a while he returned to church with the SPARE KEY of his car and drove the car back to the house.
I was so stunned at what I was seeing,
So When I asked him why he acted that way he said;
" Udeme, use your brain, the pastor asked for the KEY and NOT the CAR"

Nairaland / General / Don't Judge People Before U Knw Them. by salmankahn(m): 8:50pm On Oct 11, 2014
A 24 year old boy seeing out from the
train's
window shouted, "Dad, look
the trees are going behind! "
Dad smiled and a young couple sitting
nearby, looked at the 24 year old’s childish
behaviour
with pity.
Suddenly he again exclaimed, "Dad,
look the
clouds are running with us!" The couple couldn’t resist and said to
the old
man, "Why don’t you take your son to
a good
doctor? "
The old man smiled and said, "I did and we are
just coming from the hospital, my son
was blind
from birth, he just got his eyes today"
MORAL LESSON...
Every single person on the planet has a story.
Don’t judge people before you truly
know them.
The truth might surprise you.

Nairaland / General / Family Matters by salmankahn(m): 8:22am On Oct 11, 2014
Why is it that, some men don't respect dia in-laws yet expect dia wives to respect/honour dia family?
You will neva call ur in-laws to say 'Hello sir/ma' yet ur wife must go to ur own Mothers place every weekend. Althou dia are some women lyk dat too, dey don't want to see d husband's family but dats a topic for another day.
I heard Recently of a man wu deliberately didn't attend his father-in-law'sburial cos he claimed the wife offends him.
As a man, can you deliberately stay away from ur father-in-law'sburial just because ur wife offends you?
As a woman, will you forgive ur husband for telling you he deliberately didn't attend ur fathers burial cos you offend him or pay him back in his own coin? (This is not Superstory, it happen for real).

Politics / We Need Pedestrian Bridges On Highways by salmankahn(m): 12:03am On Sep 16, 2014
This incident happened in Feb 2010, let me share it wit u, Agbeke (not real name) was a fiancee to one of colleagues at my former place of work, he was called dat fateful morning by his friend wu is Agbeke's fiance dat Agbeke had an accident and she's at d ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at General Hospital Ikeja, on dat fateful day, she went to buy frozen fish across d road to prepare food 4 her fiance, she wanted to cross d road express at Cement b/stp and wat knocked down by a speeding BRT Bus......
She didnt survived it and it was just 2-weeks to her wedding, she neva lived to see her day of glory! d wedding was suppose to be in d first Saturday of March 2010.
Every evening on my home way 4m work, I see Lagosians running to beat coming bus at Anthony b/stp, Oshodi expressway, dis Agbeke's incident do flash back to my mind. their is one man dat do call Star FM Lagos on 'Talk back' for almost 5yrs now, d only tin dis man talk about is calling on d appropriate authority to please construct a Pedestrian Bridge at Mangoro/Cement b/stp cos of innocent lives dat are lost during such cases of a knock down by cars/buses/lorries!
Must Fashola be responsible 4 everytin? A Local govt will say building public toilets is his/her achievements? Every Representatives at d Lower & Upper house do collect ‘Constituency allowance’ wit no tangible project to show 4 it. In dis century, sum of dem wil dig a borehole dat wunt work 4 more dan 3month….
If tomorrow, d curse of dis parents dat lost dia children start taking effect, it is stil ‘we’ d masses dat wil sympathize wit dem.
Please, if u know or av anybody in d corridor of power, help us pass dis message across to dem:
We need pedestrian bridge on dos expressways where dia are b/stops, places like:
• Anthony B/stp along Oshodi
• Cement & Mangoro B/stp along Ikeja rd
• Kola b/stp in Alagbado
Pls, kindly add ur own LCDA and SHARE until it get to the appropriate authority.
Education / Irony Of Life by salmankahn(m): 11:30pm On Sep 15, 2014
A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I holdit for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you thinkabout them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything."
It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night. Remember to put the glass down!

yokiti: Prospective corpers have to purchase the card? This reminds me of the common saying that nothing is free in FREETOWN.Except Ebola.

.
The good thing about linking all these together ( WAEC/ NECO, JAMB and NYSC) is that; in the long run, this will help to curb the menace of falsification of age.
.
Since the verification is only for those that used WAEC, what will happen to those that used NECO?
