Lolz....Try this
1.Download and install the latest version of Lucky patcher apk grant it superuser access.
2.Open the lucky patcher and click on the tab Toolbox then click on Patch to Android.
3. Tick the box in front of the 1st 2 items..then click apply.
4 Reboot and lunch the Ram expander.

Now open the xposed framework app you install earlier and go to the download section to download any module of your choice. You'll see a brief description of the module and what it can do. Popular among them are;
1.Gravity box: This is an all in one module that has several tweak to change your statusbar icons, change its colours, add more shortcuts to the Tiles and others. Explore the module to get your desire tweak.
2. YouTube Adway: If you've been watching films online on YouTube you agree there's always adverts interrupting your enjoyment. You'll have to wait till it give you option to skip the ad else the film won't continue. with this now no more advert while streaming on YouTube again.
3....Explore other modules yourself by checking the download section and get anyone that interest you.
NB: After downloading the module you'll have to tick the box beside it and reboot before the downloaded module become active.
Enjoy your phone.....

Yes... it'll optimize several times but it'll eventually boot up... after every reboot the amount of optimizing apps reduce. it'll eventually boot up.
Go to the xposed framework apk you install earlier and check it's working

Xposed Framework is a framework for your rooted Android phone. It in itself does not do much. But it lets you install other apps/mods/tweak with system level functionality without having to flash them via custom recovery.
Xposed Framework makes it a lot easier to customize/
mod your phone. Not only can you change the looks of your Android phone, but also increase its performance and tweak system level functionality with Xposed framework.
You can modify your phone status bar icon by changing them, rearrange them and adding more shortcuts to the status bar tiles.

Please share the link to the Xposed installer your using, I have downloaded over 10 but none is compartible.

After various research i found out that there's no official version of Xposed framework compatible with Sdk21 or Arm 64 bit which Tecno Camon C8 is built with. This means you'll have to flash the xposed framework through recovery.
Follow the instructions below carefully:
1. Install the xposed installer apk on your phone.

2. Boot into recovery mode and flash the xposed framework zip file and reboot system.

NB: While rebooting your phone may restart several times showing Android apps loading indicating numbers of apps loading. Don't panic it'll eventually boot up.
3. Open the xposed framework apk you install earlier and your xposed framework is ready for use.

finally!! the problem is I've been tryna root my phone since 3days ago. but whenever I connect my phone to the laptop it doesn't come up at all & I tried other phones & they worked well with the laptop. so am thinking it might be a problem from the phone & I've also turned on the debugging mode

Download the latest version of Sp flash tool... It should be able to detect the phone. I had similar issues.

This Sim icon has been there since the first day I inserted my sims. It says "Sim cards have changed, tap to set preferences" . A single tap takes me to Sim options while long tap takes me to settings. There is nothing I haven't done, yet the icon won't leave. I removed and inserted the sim, no changes. Any help on how to remove the icon?

Reboot your phone, it should go away.

THE SIM 1 and 2 support 3g,h,h+ it did not support otg cable and no ota update but it has tecno software update. lt has notification light white color.lt has metallic frame and it has hd screen vivid display

Point of correction:
Tecno Camon c8 has OTG support, make sure you use good OTG cable and your flashdisk is ok. It'll pop up the External drive once connected

The apps are up to date and I have tried rebooting the phone. Someone said it is because it uses 1GB RAM.

My opinion :They should not sacrifice private profit on the altar of thier consumers satisfaction. wen Infinix hotnote2 with 2GB RAM 19,500. Y should they make a phone of 25,800 with IGB RAm (which basically means u can't enjoy the phone) and make Nigerians believe it is virtually a dash.

I don't think the problem is about the amount of RAM as it's said that one of Android Lollipop version advantage over kitkat is better RAM management but software problem from the OEM. I think TECNO have to release a software update to fix this bug in multitasking. For instance apps like swipe, du booster, bbm don't restart after clearing them from Recent apps tab. Hoping a fix will be available soonest.

Thank you sooo much this was really helpful. So far my network is now excellent. How do i change it back in the event I go to a place that has only 2G network?

The only other major complaint is that multitasking is difficult with the phone. If i am on an app and I go to another app the first one stops loading. Just imagine?

Just switch off your phone and wait for 3 to 5 seconds then power on back it'll reset to Auto switching between Edge and 3G back.
However I'm not experiencing the problem you're having with apps not loading when you minimize them. Have you tried to update the particular app probably its not compatible with lollipop version or try to reboot your phone to see if that works.

My Tecno Camon c8 keeps switching to edge network despite that I put it on 3G . When I checked the preferred network it is still in 3G. Although I noticed the network started fluctuating when I got to the data limit. I had a similar issue on my other phone when it was on 3G or 2G. So I selected 3G only and the issue didn't arise again. 2G network is really crappy

I think this is a design that is common to some phones running Android lollipop and not Tecno Camon c8 alone. Anyway there is a solution to the problem.
Dial *#*#4636#*#* using your phone dialer, it'll take you to a page where you have the internal configuration of the phone.
Click on Phone Information, take you to another page, scroll down and click on the drop down menu arrow then select WCDMA only from the list. Just exit by going back. That's it...your phone stays on 3G only.
NB: When you're in an area that has no 3G network your phone may not see any signal cos it cannot switch to EDGE network by itself.

1. Download Kingroot

2. Extract the apk file and Install the app on the phone
3. Ensure you have an internet connection on the phone then launch the app
4. Wait for all checks to be complete
5. Click the center button (with Root and some Chinese texts inscribed on it) to begin rooting
6. Wait for rooting to complete
7. You should see a green tick to confirm that rooting was successful

hello guys...i did tried to update the phone too but then during the process it failed and aborted. so now whenever i turned on the phone it never even run to the TECNO LOGO. all it does is to keep on running to recovery mode. i did formatted in the recovery but still the problem exist. i cant do anything with the phone. someone who will to help too. Have you tried removing and inserting the battery then power it on and see if it boots normally then you can flash back the cwm recovery.img
