Tecno F6 supports Over-the-Air (OTA) update. It doesn't have OTG support

Tecno f6 has OTG support. Go to Settings>storage >External USB storage

I'm still trying out several options to root the phone. Framaroot, Easyroot, rootmaster, VRoot, root genius, kingo root, Eroot, No luck yet!

However, I have been able to flash CWM, make a full flashable Stock Rom and backup my Tecno F6

I think Tecno is waking up from their slumber especially with the rivalry the Infinix zero x506 brought to the Nigerian market. Before now they have only Tecno PhantomZ running the Android 4.4.2 kitkat but expensive. When Infinix zero x506 came out and they saw the rush they realise there is rivalry.
In quick succession they release Tecno F6 with 16GB ROM similar to infinix zero and the newest Tecno H3 both running the Android 4.4.2 kitkat and having the latest mediatek technology for data transfer(HOTKNOT) which allows you to transfer data when the phones screen touch eachother. As the competition grows we hope to see more affordable phones with better specs.

No regret buying this Tecno F6, very sharp screen with Android kitkat make it superb. One special feature coming out with this phone is HOTKNOT. Whoever has use this feature should share his experience.
