espn:well, our values are different - I would rather do the cheek and forehead, it is still the same expression of love and she would truly know I love her. I would avoid the lips so as not to negate the values I intend teaching her about setting boundaries (talk-less of publishing it on Instagram). ONLY her mum would get the lips. I don't judge the guy in question (disagreement is not equal to judgement), just saying I would do it differently. When my daughter and her husband come to visit me, I would still affectionately peck her cheeks at sighting her - can't imagine doing the lips in front of the bobo...mbanu! I intend teaching that from the beginning...it's all about the values I intend teaching my daughter and that's the way I see it. Thanks! |
JustHere2Observ:I didn't say he's taking advantage of her. |
JustHere2Observ:Well, I'm saying to teach them values by respecting them already.... and helping them to unserstand they need to keep themselves....I'm not suggesting to take advantage of them. |
espn:I beleive boundaries should be drawn...and daughters taught to keep certain parts to thier future husbands...when that girl grows up and marries, it would not be ok to kiss her on the lips again...so if it's wrong then, it is wrong now, as well as other private parts of her body that are sensitive and sensual in nature..let's teach our daughters values and clear boundaries. If her father can kiss her on the lips then her brothers cousins, uncles may also kiss her on the lips ....they are family too..abi? |
